Fantastic doughnuts but are always sold out by 9:00AM...yet are open until 1:00PM. They do take phone orders ahead of time (leave a message overnight) but for me, doughnuts are a sudden decision. Plus I want to see my options. After 9:00AM not much. On "National Doughnut Day" they sold out (9:06AM) with an hour wait for glazed only. Cake doughnuts are not made after the first batch. I was part of six potential customers that walked out empty handed on a day designed for their products that they have advertised for. Make more doughnuts...you will sell them! They are the best doughnuts and the service is fast. Always a five minute wait due to a constant line of customers.

Im from Arkansas where we have Shipleys Donuts local franchise which is similar to this shop. Those donuts arent super doughy and have just the right amount of sweetness. I came in on a Sunday morning to get a glaze and cream filled. The lady who helped me wasnt very friendly but it didnt offend me. The donuts although super doughy (which I wasnt a huge fan of) werent very sweet like I expected. And there wasnt much variety this morning. I was hoping for a regular white cream filling or strawberry covered or chocolate covered. They didnt have it. I doubt Ill be back but theyll have business anyway. Im glad other people like the shop. :-)

I think they produce the best glazed doughnut in America. I work all over the USA and eat as well as I can from local shops. Baker makes yeast raised doughnuts all day. You can get warm or hot doughnuts frequently. Yummy. I wont even eat a chain shop doughnut anymore. Service is really good but they get extremely busy. (no matter your color despite other post playing race card) Parking can be tough early. Park out back its easy. They do sell out almost every day. I dont go after 1:00.

Ive never been one for chain donut shops. This place has a wonderful taste and good service. Bring cash because they dont accept card. There is an atm in the shop but its a fee of almost three dollars. The parking in front of the shop is small so careful when backing up. There have been two separate times when Ive come to the shop a good time before closing and they were low on donuts. Disappointing. To add Ive also come early and they were lacking donuts. Very disappointing.

The Donut Shoppe is a family favorite. I grew up in the area with memories of my dad getting up early and surprising us with donuts from here. Now my husband and I take our son. Just the best donuts at a crazy affordable price. Those trendy hipster $3 each donut places have NOTHING on this place. The blueberry cake, original glaze and coconut cake are our favorites plus the uglies and eclairs are the best!

Was recommended to me by the employees at Krispy Kreme doughnuts, since KK no longer offers chocolate frosted cake donuts at my local store. They said " We are not supposed to recommend our competition, but they have been voted best donuts in Arlington area " I agree totally, best donuts since Dip-N-Sip Donuts at the beach. Very happy with service and selection, wonderful.

Coworker brought in the most delicious donuts I have ever eaten!! They are nothing like your regular donuts. They are so delicious, moist and fresh melt in your mouth goodness. I thank god I dont live close enough to get them everyday or I would be in BIG trouble. If you want to make a great impression with your coworkers I highly suggest you take in a box of these donuts.

The best donut Ive ever had for a great price. We got there at 10 am on a Monday and they had only about 1/3 donuts left. I tried 3 donuts and literally drooled while eating them. 5 hours old and it still melts in your mouth. Try this place!! And get there earlier if you want more variety but they were still all delicious.

It has been voted number 1 donut Bakery in Jacksonville several times by the community through a survey conducted by TheFlorida Times-Union!

This place has been in Jacksonville now going on 54 years. Has hands down the best donuts in Jacksonville. Friendly staff move the lines quickly and efficiently to get you back out in no time. To save time call and place your order the night before or days before and they will have them ready and waiting!

The donuts are amazing the problem is they NEVER make enough! Their baker go homes very early and by 9am they are sold out of everything. So if you like waking at 6am driving to the shop and keep your fingers crossed they might have some of the unpopular donuts left. Enjoy wasting your gas!

I go here a lot. The donuts taste good. But one time I got one that was not cooked all the way. They were not very happy to give me a refund or an exchange. I also notice over the years of going there that some customers get treated better than others, I think because of skin color.

Hands down, not just the best donuts in Jacksonville, but the best donuts I have had nationwide. They maintain tradition by making high quality yummy donuts at awesome prices without going with weird high priced fad styled donuts. No maple bacon donuts for $4 each here!

Theyre alright. Just like Krispy kreme. If you live on this side of town its a good deal bc Krispy Kreme doesnt have alot of locations but I wont be making the drive again to come here. The donuts are basic and nothing special. They were good but they didnt wow me.

Im not big on donuts, but these are amazing - my favorites were the uglies and the twirls. Saw reviews that said you have to get there really early, but I got there at 10:30 on a Sunday morning and they still had more than enough in stock.

BEST DONUT SHOPPE HERE IN JACKSONVILLE. BETTER THAN KRISPY CREME AS WELL! I go whether its or if it ever snows. Donuts are hand man from scratch, always hot and fresh, they are soft and moist, melt in your mouth. Once you go, yuou are hook!

Susan who works there is awesome. The whole family loves the donut Shoppe and it is right beside the Broken Spoke that has killer burgers and wings. I have the best of both right next door to each other. Life is good
