I go here as often as possible. I live way down south of Sarasota but its worth the drive up (early in the a.m.) to get these donuts!! Glazed are wonderful. Nice high raise on the donut.. Filled cream/chocolate frosted are great too. I bring a dozen or two into work to treat my coworkers. They love that :). Ive called ahead too to put an order in for a 7:00 a.m. pickup two days before so I know they wont run out... Cash only.. so be Prepared!! These are very sweet people. I wish theyd open a shop down by me in Venice, Nokomis area. Yes, the shopping center they are located in is kinda seedy. But dont let that stop you. Lets give them the business so they can move up into the BEST location.. and trust me, theyd get much more clientele if they were on main 41... Go Gold Star!!!

FANTASTIC! Just picked up a dozen this morning (glazed, jelly, lemon, Bavarian cream) and everyone loved them. Friendly service, inexpensive; dont be put off by the shopping center because it will be well worth your time. I will definitely be back to try their other selections.

Just bought a dozen at 8am today for the office. Everyone LOVED them. The price was excellent. I had the glaze, and I found the donut to be very light and fluffy. This is a good thing since a heavy feeling in the morning is not ideal. I will be returning without a doubt.

My family has been buying donuts here for over 15 years! Hands down the best donuts in town...and the biggest too. Just get there early because they will sell out of the favorites. Oh, and try the sour cream cake donut...you wont be sorry.

AMAZING!!! been coming here since i was riding my bike to the elementary school up the street.... once you try there little rings of heaven then you will start calling every other Doughnut a Doughnot instead.

I love this donut shop!!!! Best in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. Locally owned forever. Ive been going to this shop for over 25yrs. Still the same great taste always. If you have never been its time you went.

One of Bradenton/Sarasotas best kept secrets. Tucked away in a rather "sketchy" plaza is Goldstar Donuts. Its run by a man and woman from Laos, and from my experiences the very best donut in town.

This place is a locally owned shop cash only donut shop. The coffee was watered down and the hygene was a bit of and issue I saw ants and mosquitoes but other than that the doughnuts were good.
