I moved to Fort Myers from New Orleans in 2013. I had a bike shipped to EA Bicycles and reassembled. They did a great job and ever since then Ive been going to EA Bicycles. First I would like to say... Al who manages this location is the BEST! I commute to work... about 12 miles. I also ride at night... usually the same distance sometimes more. Ive had a few common everyday basic issues like flat tires and broken or loose components. Al has always done a great job to get me back on the road ASAP... most times within minutes. Only once he was not able to fix a problem with my bike right away so he let me borrow a bike for a few days that belonged to the shop. Al is very knowledgeable about all the different bikes on the market and all the after market components. He also loves to take the time to explain and recommend what is best for you and your bike. Cant say enough positive things about Al and EA Bicycles! Im also blessed that this location is about a quarter mile from where I live. Wish they were open on Sunday but everyone needs a day off. Im a Chef so trust me I know. If your planning on purchusing a new bike... or already have a bike... or maybe you have a older bike thats been sitting in your garage for years that needs a little love... EA Bicycles is the only bike shop I recommend in Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Bonita Springs.

There are many bike stores in town, but few I feel comfortable discussing bikes and get excited about riding again. I am an intermediate rider on both mountain and road, however I have not ridden for sometime. I entered the store looking for new High performance mountain bike, Al the store manager has taken the time of discussing my cycling experience and showed me some bikes that are at my price range with the right equipment for my level of riding. Al an experienced rider and mechanic lets you ride as many bikes as you want and explains the pros and cons of each component, it truly is a good experience for both experienced riders and novice to learn before buying equipment or a new bike. Turns out he built a bike to suit me with a Niner frame in which I read in the cycling magazine to be one of the top mountain bike frames available now, I must say I am extremely happy with the service and to meet someone who has a passion for the sport. I should also point out that I saved about $200 with the same components of the trek I was looking at and this is a much better setup. Thanks Al

Before loading the bikes on the back of the car, which is a struggle in and of itself, I thought Id call the shop to verify to see that theyre open (and not closed for vacation) or whether Id need an appointment first, and I got ringing and ringing and ringing--and then "the mailbox is full." I called 3 times just in case they were in the back working..still ringing and ringing and then "the mailbox is full." So, I called their second location. The person who picked up had a very lackadaisical attitude about the store being unreachable, as if it were my problem, not his. "They have a problem with their phones over there." Oh, really? Sounds professional. Then, "They close at noon." I told the person the noon closing hour was not on the website, which states the store is open until 5 p.m. I was then told that it was a "special situation." A pause. Then, in an effort to not have me spoil his morning any longer, the manager asks with slight irritation, "Anything else I can help you with?" I guess not, and I guess not forever and ever.

Recently bought a Jamis Xenith Endura Comp road bike and had the handle bars and shifters, breaks etc changed to a straight bar bike. Al was fantastic. The guy is not only a master mechanic but a decent and honorable business man. Been biking in this area during the winter months for years. Used to go to the two snooty Trek stores or the snooty bike shop in Naples, Naples Bicycles, where they only really seem to care about you if you buy or ride a 2000 dollar bike. EA bicycles recently opened another store in Bonita Springs on U.S. 41 about a mile north of Bonita Beach Road. I highly recommend you visit this store and speak with Al about a new bike or any problems you may have with your existing bike. Forget the two Trek stores or Naples Cyclery or bicycles or whatever the call themselves

I bought a Jamis Hudson and a Jamis Xenith Comp when I arrived in FL for the winter. I appreciated the helpful input from the owner, Al, made when I made my decisions on what to buy. He knew the right questions to ask so that I chose the perfect bikes for the types of riding I like to do. I have had GREAT service (not that Ive needed much, but I did upgrade the wheels on the road bike a few weeks later.) The staff are always courteous and attentive the minute I walk in the door. Im so glad that a fellow Illinoisan recommended the shop to me. I wouldnt think of going any place else, even though I have a competitor only a mile away! I highly recommend E A Bicycles if youre looking for a new bike or servicing an existing one.

This has to be the best service and quality bike shop in all of Florida. This is a bike shop that actually cares about people who ride. Al is truly the best I have come across. I drove far out of my way just to go to EA Bikes. I would highly recommend anyone to go to this bike shop!!!!

Great service. He dropped what he was doing and fixed a bike tire on the spot. Way too cheap. Hard to believe anyone makes a living charging that low.
