Ace Hardware Superstore fraudulent scam!! - These guys are absolutely hands down the worst online retailer I have ever ordered from. I was lured in by Google Shopping having better reviews then they store actually has. After placing my order I was unable to login to my account. I did receive a email with a username and password but that did not do anything when I logged into the website. I was appalled to find that they sent all of this information unencrypted via email. I waited days and no invoice, but I noted they charged my credit card in full. When I contacted them on the phone the absolutely rude person suggested it was the store policy to charge for a item they have not shipped and confirmed the product I ordered was not going to shipped for days. Ultimately when trying to refund the order I was hung up on. Further investigation my credit card company (Master Card) has already been contacted by other customers who have had similar issues. Do you own research and look at sites like the BBB and the many review sites on the internet. I would never order from these people.

Similar story to what the other reviews are stating. Placed an order online, status shows shipped a few days later but no tracking number. Fast forward to 3 weeks after the order date, still no tracking number so I call them. The person who picked up wasnt rude, but he was incredibly unprofessional and had absolutely no idea that an order had even been placed. Eventually I get told that the order had shipped after a delay and Id get an email w/ tracking that evening. Obviously no tracking number arrives so I email them again and only then am I told that they never had the item and had to special order it. I tell them to cancel the order and dont hear back. I email them again letting them know that I would file a dispute w/ the CC provider. No response so I filed the dispute 4 weeks after the initial order. Now 2 days after I file the dispute, they ship the item a full 30 days after the initial order. No communication. Its been probably 10 years and hundreds of purchases since Ive dealt with any store selling online that is this unprofessional.

After recieving my credit card information and after the order was placed, they charged me $15/item more than the quoted shipping. They went from being my cheapest source according to google shopping to the most expensive with this deceitful tacktic. And then when I question it, I get pushed into canceling my order. Sounds like a business plan for crooks. I am extremely dissapointed. Not only were my emails not returned, but when I called I was greeted with very little support or customer care. I was not allowed to speak with a supervisor and pushed towards canceling my order. I cannot believe Ace does business like this. Ive made 500+ online orders ranging from $1 - $4000 and this by far was the worst experience of them all. Ive had issues in the past with orders, but at least the customer service was workable and approachable. Ace has now lost my family and friends business for both online and local store shopping.

Disaapointment awaits those who choose this retailer. My shipping was calculated through their own website at $12.63 using my zip code. The next day I recieved an email saying they needed an additional $8.99 because of the weight of product and my location (an obvious scam). When I called their so called "customer service" I was immediately placed on hold twice by a person who neither identified herself or the company I was calling, then when I did speak with a representative, the person was also rude and could really care less if I paid the additional shipping or cancelled my order. Of course I cancelled my order. I sure hope I get my money back. You had better clean up your act acehardwaresuperstore! And Google, you need to consider more closely who you make references to or Ill stop using you to search for products...

So I ordered an item, $76.60 great price and shipping was $14.22, all together cheaper than in a store. The next day I get an email saying they need $24.99 more for shipping. So I call them, my argument is their system gives me a shipping price that is the price I should pay. I was willing to split the difference and pay half the increase, still cheaper than in a store, the answer is no. They tell me they have more than a 1000 items and it is hard to keep track of them and have the website accurate. There is only one item left and mine will have to come from the manufacture increasing their shipping costs to over $40. All the while, I was on the Home Depot site, free shipping, $89.98 with $5.40 in tax, so I tell them to cancel the order.

The prices on their HOS on-line site were pretty good at least for the product I wanted. However the shipping was kind of outrageous and they only offered UPS and Fedex...not the Postal Service. I called and they agreed to ship via USPS for less but did not provide a tracking number. Turns out they shipped via UPS but again no tracking number. Their on-line invoice did not list the item nor the quantity so it made it difficult to know exactly what you are going to receive. The order was delayed a bit as they did not have adequate stock and did not tell you that. If they would fix some of these issues Id order from them in future.

Placed an online order for door hardware which was listed as being in stock. Credit card was charged the same day as the order for all items. Was contacted one day later via email stating two items were not in stock. Called to confirm I wanted the remaining items and asked for a credit of the items which were out of stock and would be canceled. No shipping notification was given for the ONE item that was actually in stock. The second item had to be special ordered and no notification was given. Poor communication. Had to call twice to get a refund for the items which were canceled. I do not recommend this store for online ordering.

Store is amazing as well as the employees. Always get what i need and when i need help they are there to help and know where to look for what i need. For online people get off your lazy butts and go to the store before you judge them on their online crap. If u havent notice this is an oldschool store which means instore help not for you online lazy people

BAIT and SWITCH. Worst service ever. I placed an order online and then they emailed me telling me that they are out of stock on the items. They tried to push much more expensive products on me. When I refused and cancelled my order they never refunded my credit card. I had to dispute it. BUYER BEWARE!

I was not impressed by this location at all. The staff was very rude and gave the impression that I was an inconvenience to them. Selection was good considering the size of the location, but I would rather go somewhere else where my business feels more like it is wanted or appreciated.
