I was moving into a townhouse and wanted to re-key all of the locks. I went to Deerfield Ace to have that done. Date of receipt 3/17/17. All three locks were re-keyed, but the front door deadbolt cylinder was accidentally damaged and needed a temporary center key replacement so I could use the lock until Ace could find a matching replacement. It is part of a matching rustic Baldwin set. The temporary center key cylinder replacement is polished metal. Stands out quite a bit. Oscar said he would call me when he received a matching fit. He never did. After two weeks I made a point to follow up weekly, then bi-weekly so as not to be a pain. Each time I called he said the wrong one came or it hadn’t come in. He then shared his mobile number and asked for photos so he could match it up. I sent the clear photos and the manufacture’s name. Texted 5/17/17. He said oh, Ace doesn’t have a relationship with that manufacture. I will work out something with a local locksmith in trade and take care of it. I have followed up every two weeks and have been told he is working on it. Today 8/4/17 the manager Josh explained they do not and will not be able to correct the problem. Best to go somewhere else if customer service matters to you. I will not be giving them any more business.

This was my first visit to this Ace to pick up an online order. Between ordering and picking it up I found something that worked better, so I asked to return the item. The man behind the other register rudely quipped, "We cant return it without the form." I tried to ask where to get the form...online? He once again rudely replied, "Yeah I guess, I dont know, call them." The lady who was checking me out then handed me the form to sign, and the form clearly said to return it to a local store (no mention of any form). I mentioned that and the man at the other register again VERY rudely said, "It doesnt matter, we cant return it without the form." I left and thanked them for not being very helpful, and proceeded to look up the online return policy. It clearly states to return an online to a local storm - NO form mentioned OR provided. I will be returning this item to a different Ace and will never step foot in the Deerfield one again. So thankful to have Orchard across the street where they are incredibly helpful and have amazing customer service!!

Today I had my 5th bad experience at this store . I keep going back because its close to my house but I am fed up now. This is in regards to the manager named boz . I just dont understand a store that advertises customer service to be so blatantly contrary. I was returning an ace product with a reciept that says its guaranteed right on the package. The item broke in less than 30 days. The manager overided the clerk then gave me hard time , told me to wait while he was too busy to get off facebook and when I said I have a baby in the car he told me to take my item and leave . I asked why the bad attitude and he did not reply just continued to scowl at me . Then he proceeded to ask me what and why I used the product for .uhh its a hose connect . I connected hoses with it So I went out to the car and got my kid .came back in. No accountability he flipped the transaction back to the clerk and stomped away. Since coming home today and seeing my neighbors and tossing back a brew . 2 of my.buddies had similar stories

I am not very handy and it takes me a few trips back and forth to get my project completed. Without going into great details, I was working on my car trying to add chrome tailpipe tips. The salespeople were constantly asking me if I needed assistance and I turned them down. After my third trip, the store manager, BOZ, came over to me and asked if he could be of assistance. I finally caved and said yes. Moving ahead, he suggested I bring my car to the back of the store and he would attach my tailpipe tips. I was blown away, astonished and relieved that someone would actually help me. I doubt if either Home Depot or Lowes would do so. I can not get over the extra mile BOZ went to assist me. I will support ACE by encouraging others as well as contractors to shop at ACE in Deerfield Beach. Many thanks.

Great new Ace location, everything is newer and brighter. But if youre looking for service stick to the sample rd location. I frequent many local hardware stores during the workweek. And it only took me 3 visits to get tired of the staff. They look like they are the ones who need help finding something. The final straw was when I walked up to th the counter with a decent sized purchase. For some reason my card wouldnt swipe. The cashier flatly refused to manually enter my card even with identification. So the cashier "Beth" suggests "I go to the bank and come back". When I tried to express a time deadline she says "then go somewhere else". Wow right. So bottom line 6 stars for selection, 2 stars for service

Rude woman behind the counter, rude manager. He made many calls to my house about a purchase that I had cancelled, told me I had to go to the store and pick up my "deposit", when I went into the store, the unhelpful woman behind the counter couldnt find the "deposit and asked me to bring my copy. I am elderly and called American Express instead to try to get a refund. Very unpleasant experience at the store. I will not return. Sounds like the same rude woman behind the counter that the others had a problem with. She seems not to know that I was was, repeat was a customer.

Ive given this place a two year chance and Im finally threw!! Im sick of the staff and their attitude! 80% of the staff their just flat out dont want to help you and dont really know how to. You will never walk in their and get greeted with a smile and good morning. They will pretend to not see you and then look at you with a blank what do you want face. The manager was talks to me like I was an F-ing idiot! The other Ace store on Sample is way better. I cant wait till that Deerfield store closes!!!! Hello Home Depot and Lowes

Frank (the owner) and his team are always very accommodating and knowledgeable. They have a generous return policy and I have never had a bad experience in all the years the store has been there and I go there very regularly, being the weekend household project guy that I am. It is certainly a nice change from the impersonal experience at the big stores like Home Depot etc. Keep up the great work guys!!

Have you ever seen so many 1-star reviews? Here is why. Cold, indifferent staff. Will not refund money on products that are totally ineffective. Customer satisfaction is non-existent. No one gives a damn at this store. How do they stay in business? Maybe True Value on Sample Rd. is better, but in general Id say save yourself the trouble--go to Lowes or Home Depot instead. What a shame!
