love all the employees there. they love my dog, betty, and its a nice experience to go in there as opposed to a home depot. my family has been doing business there for probably over 25 years. And yet, I am not able to have a charge account.. what?? and I am not able to charge over the phone...what?? even for a one time charge for a can of paint, they cant have faith or trust to send to me a bill and I send them a check. so in an area such as this, where there are snowbirds....and I dont have anyone left I know in my building to help me out...I will now have a room that is partially finished for the next 6 months...seriously?? I am designer, I lay out literally thousands and thousands for my clients, thats called running a business.....they cant do that for a can of paint??? seriously folks.....if it werent such a close convenience, I absolutely would not give them my business. Oh and by the way, the owner is NEVER there, so you can even by pass and have a make sense conversation.

We tried to return one of the items we bought at Beach Ace Hardware because it was cheaply made and defective. Ed, the manager, said "thats your opinion" and would not help us, and that it was "my fault" it was cheaply made. Rude, condescending, and negativity would describe his attitude in front of his employees witnessing this, and they did not say a word. He definitely does not have good intentions towards the customers.. Also, the package clearly states the Ace promise in writing that guarantees complete satisfaction, which he completely ignored and disregarded. Update- We reported our incident to the 800 number customer service and they have been very accommodating. We will still shop at Ace, but definitely not Beach Ace hardware.

Disregard all those negative comments. Bah humbug! I have been using Beach Hardware for several years now. They have been extremely helpful and are always available for all my needs on all my pesky DYI household jobs, very willing to explain and walk me through the job or walk me over to even the tiniest part I might need. My husband and I come two or three times a year for I few weeks and we spend lots of time working on our condo getting it in shape for our renter. Couldnt survive without our Beach Hardware crew. Luv ya all.

Avoid this Ace Hardware unless as a last resort. The employees here are so full of themselves. They try to make you feel as if you were clueless. Stopped by today to buy some cabinet hinges and had a bad experience. Purchased these same hinges at the Ace on Andrews but was told by Beach, that no Ace Hardware carries them. I even showed the receipt with the inventory number. Last time I visited this hardware store was about 6 years ago and had a similar experience. Never again. Go to Collier instead, on 45th St in Oakland Park.

The worst service. I had hip surgery and went to Ace a week later, using crutches. I asked where plumbing supplies were to the 3 employees who were gossiping at the register. One said, "You wont like the answer. Go upstairs." I told him I didnt like the answer and he turned his back to me. I had to crawl upstairs in pain. I made it back downstairs and bought the item and left. Every time I see the "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man" I get furious. Because of this store, I only give my money to Home Depot.

The Manager Tom is rude and has no idea about costumer service Friday night I walked in the store at 5.40 pm (the door was open ) and he kicks me out with an attitude saying they are closed I came back Monday and explained my situation that I really needed to make that purchase since it was an emergency and with no apology told me "we where closed " So much for the "helpful place "

Staff and customer service are great here. Small town feel in a big city! They have just about everything you would want from a hardware store. Only reason i dont give 5 stars is if you need full sheets of drywall or plywood they dont carry it. Space is at a premium in this store.

Great customer service. You can walk around yourself to find stuff or accept service offers. It reminds me of a small town hardware store with all the hard to find items. They also carry all the regular items you expect. Much better than box box store.
