Lived in the area for a little over a year now never needed to go to a hardware store till today the item I purchased was a Ace Hardware product that wasnt pricey but the customer service that Jill gave me was slow and rude. She grumbled a lot because all I had was a large bill and she stated(among other grips) that I was going to wipe her out. My balance was less then $5 and she refused my Credit Card because it has my husband name on it which I understand but dont grip at me because you dont like my cash either. I told my husband and of course we will Not go back there again. Well drive to Walmart

HORRIBLE: I live 1/2 mile from the store and have try to give LOCAL business my business. I have been in business for my entire life and I just give up on this store. As much as I dont want to go to a big box store they have pushed me into it. You have to be DETERMINED to buy something when you shop there and God forbid you have to return something because they harass you when you want your money back! I am a disgusted ex-customer. Giving them 1 star rating is a overrating this Ace Hardware!! They deserve a minus rating.

Trying to find a product in ACE on line is worse than pulling teeth, I enter my e-mail & password they say there not correct, sent me ads all the time, The kicker here today, I am looking for a lousy FOLDING SHOPPING CART WITH 4 WHEELS, walmart has them, lowes has them home depot, have them but Ace, dont seem to know what I am asking for, Ive even seen them in the winn dixie store.........This is showing my store In Ellenton. fla. when in fact I my store is 301 & Big bend rd. Licoln Rd .............

Wont let you use a business card for business purchases in this store. You have to provide ID. Made the purchasing process very difficult. I was asked no less than 15 times if I needed help to the point where it was annoying. Someone was constantly over me like I was trying to smuggle gnomes out of the store. I will drive farther to Lowes or home depot next time considering they are both cheaper and less aggravating. Full of angry old people, including the cashiers.

This place have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I spend so much money at this store due to house renovation. I wanted to return only one item because I didnt like the way it works and they refused it. I would never be back here and any other ACE. I like better take a time and drive to Home Depot or Lowe`s at this point. At least customer service there is way better, more professional and you always can return if you are unsatisfied.

This place is awful! They are clueless about customer service, they overcharge, and give misleading/conflicting advice. Their return policy is from the Dark Ages and is restrictive and highly punitive. I try and support local businesses, but this place (and the "manager" Jamie) are way beyond the pale. Avoid this place, or shop at your peril! I will go out of my way, and even pay more, to boycott this atrocity.

Please let a big box store come to the area. I understand charging a bit more for convenience , but due to the lack of competition in the area, this place wildly overcharges...for everything. So so customer service, check out is slow, return policy is onerous. Hope the owners save their money because the day a Depot or Lowes opens locally, this place will disappear overnight.

I exchanged an item for a slightly more expensive one and they didnt even apply the taxes I paid for the first one as part of the exchange. If I want the taxes back or to be applied I would have to go through a lenthy process. I wasnt even told by the clerk. I had to mention it to her and she was rude about it.

Are they more expensive than Home Depot or Lowes? Yes, but it saves me a 20 minute drive in each direction and they stock EVERYTHING! The customer service is second to none and I love the fact that I am supporting a small local business. I shop here at least once a week and have never had a bad experience.

Any time Ive needed assistance, the staff was happy to help and share some knowledge. Much better than the blank stares you get from the big box stores and though sometimes a little more expensive, the staff more than makes up for it with knowledge and assistance.

I love this store, has a huge amt of available product...esp for the sq footage of the store. Neat and clean. Staff is knowledgeable without being pushy.
