Horrible customer service! Ken, the store manager, miscalculated our original flooring order because he did not confirm the square foot coverage of a box so we ended up short two full boxes of flooring. I went back and asked him to order two more boxes of the same flooring but had to wait a week. I even brought an end panel from one of the boxes to make sure the correct flooring got ordered. I went to the store, picked up the second order of flooring and brought it home to let it acclimate for a day. When I opened the boxes, it was the wrong flooring. The boxes were filled with random length pieces instead of all 4’ lengths so it was unusable. I called Ken and explained the situation to him. Instead of accepting responsibility for the problem he blamed it on “the girls” for ordering the wrong flooring. He said getting the flooring we needed would probably take another 6-8 weeks. What? Based on my previous interactions with him I could only read this as a manipulative ploy to try and get us to keep the flooring we couldnt use. He said he would call the distributor and try and find us two boxes of the correct flooring and call me back. After waiting two days and not hearing anything I called him. He said he would call the distributor on Monday and call me back. Not hearing from him again, my wife and I went to the store and he said he was in touch with the distributor, they were trying to find a couple of boxes and would call me by the end of the week. Again, no call back so I had to chase him down. I called him again and he said he would call the distributor and call me back. Again no call back so I told him I was going to bring the flooring back to the store as it was sitting in my house taking up space and I couldnt use it. I brought the two boxes back to the store and Ken didnt want to credit our purchase back to our card as he said we could just do an exchange. That was on a Monday and I told him I would give him until Friday. I went back to the store on Friday and, of course, it was Ken’s day off. I asked the other salesman in the store if he would just credit the purchase back on my card and he told me I would have to have Ken do it. I told him that was ridiculous that he could reverse the charge on my card as the flooring was sitting on the showroom floor and I had my receipt. He said I would have to wait for Ken to do it and come back on Saturday. I called my credit card company to file a dispute, gave them the story and documentation so the charges are getting reversed. Now I have to figure out where I can possibly find two more boxes of the right flooring to finish our floor. If you are looking for horrible customer service, lack of ownership and a complete lack of follow through then go see Ken at the Davie, Dolphin Carpet and Tile because that is exactly what I got from him. FOLLOW UP - 3/10/2014 After writing the above review it took a month and the regional managers involvement to get things resolved. The price/sq.ft. in the showroom was incorrect compared to the delivered product so they refunded the difference after I pointed out the discrepancy. The floor in our bedroom is finally finished and looks beautiful. Not a fun experience but am upgrading them from one star to two stars because the issues got resolved.

I just wanted to thank you and the folks at Dolphin for the excellent service that was provided in the purchase and installation of carpet in our house this week. My first experience with Dolphin was to obtain carpet for a single bedroom over 20 yrs ago and that was a positive experience so we decided to make that our first stop when we were in the market for carpet again you provided professional service from the time I walked in the door and discussed our needs. Your expertise and knowledge of your product lines made the decision process easy. Despite terrible weather, you still made an in-house appointment on time to measure the four rooms and stairs that we were looking to carpet and provided excellent advice. The installation crew of Carlos, Carlos, and Michael called a half hour before they arrive to double check the address and to let us know they were on their way. I was concerned as the weather once again was terrible and I wasn’t sure how that would affect the cutting of the carpet since you normally do it on-site. I thought that the job would have to be put off until another day. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told the carpet had been cut at the warehouse due to the weather and that you spoke to Carlos, the crew leader early that morning to make sure that the install would happen. The installers were professional and kept me informed throughout the process. I did have three rooms completely cleared of furniture but the fourth had several large pieces (most had been emptied). I was reassured that would not be a problem. The crew worked diligently and through their lunch period, and had the job done by early afternoon. They did an excellent job of cleaning up afterward, and taking me room by room to make sure that everything was done properly and to my satisfaction. I was surprised as to the longevity of each member of the crew with Dolphin. All in all, the entire experience was a positive one and I would not hesitate to recommend Dolphin Carpet or Tile, or yourself, in the future. Both of my experiences were with the Davie Store and I found the cost to be reasonable, the process easy, and the services provided were extremely professional. Again, please except my personal thanks and please feel free to share my comments with the Installation crew. They were great!

I am a New Yorker and I was down in Lauderhill and I wanted to take my mom out to look for new wall to wall carpeting for her living room. She told me Dolphin was always advertising on TV so I was reluctant to got there- but - I am glad i did! The moment I walked into the University Location ( near Home Depot) i was met by the manager Ken who helped me pick out a lovely carpet and he pointed out that deeper pile carpets may make walking hard for my mom . Later that day he came to measure my moms home and and now that the installation is done all i can say is this store is great - it has a nice selection of rugs at many price points and there is no pressure to spend more that you want to. Two thumbs up for Dolphin on University!!!

I had a wonderful experience with Dolphin Carpet and Tile! My salesperson, Rick was wonderful. He educated me on the different kinds of carpet and let me take samples to my home to test out the colors. He also came out and measured the rooms on his off time. The installer, Adolfo, did a great job putting in the carpet. They cleaned up the place and put back the furniture. Nothing went wrong with the entire process! I would definitely recommend Dolphin Carpet and Tile and Rick!
