Absolutely need to train their employees better! Bought two ferrets on two separate occasions in which two different people helped us and we got misinformed twice! They gave us the wrong gender for each ferret! Its quite frustrating to have named our ferrets something that match the gender we thought they were, only to find out they are the complete opposite! A lot of people may not think this is a big deal but for someone who went in having very little knowledge of these types of pets and expecting to speak to "experts" on the matter only to learn they didnt even give us the right gender only makes me wonder how much misinformation is being put out there by these employees! Also learned from our wonderful vet at Avian & Animal Hospital that over half the things we were told there about caring for ferrets was completely inaccurate. Thankfully, I have done my own research after the fact and managed to keep our fur babies healthy despite all the wrong information we were given. All I know is, when I got my job, I was trained enough to give out accurate information to clients and thinks that its terrible this company does not do the same. There is NO excuse as to why they shouldnt be trained to know something as simple as the sex of an animal they sell on a regular basis. I would give zero stars but it wouldnt allow me to make this post without at least one.

Austin and Tyler are amazing. Seriously they love their job. Every time I come in they ask about my dogs. Smile and are always in a great mood! You can tell they love animals and where they work. I will only shop at this location for my animals because I actually enjoy seeing the employees and making small talk. I have referred many people to this store because of them. Staff is what speaks loudest for a company and everytime Iv been to this store Iv been greeted like I am family. Theres a women there - unsure of her name. Younger, very sweet. She will take the cats out so I can pet them. Tyler knows I wasnt planning on buying a cat but he let me hold all of them and talked to me about their personalities. You can tell that he spend a lot of time with them and cares about the animals he works with. I have only amazing things to say about these employees and hopefully they are rewarded because they deserve it.

I think people expect too much out of minimum wage retail. I think this place is pretty good, been goin here for a month for cat and dog food. They got all natural stuff and less of the processed garbage food. Was lookin for a weight loss food for my overweight manchester terrier, the shift leader ( cant remember her name but she was a cute brunette) showed me nutro weight loss food. Stuff works good, dogs happier and in better shape. Place is a little pricier than most pet places but totally worth it for results and large selection. Dont hate on the employees, they show actual care for animals, rather than paying attention to making the sale. Gota respect that, hard quality to find in people these days.

I have a two year old shih tzu, Liko, who I normally take to PetSmart for grooming. I hadnt been pleased with the haircuts I was receiving from there and I decided that I would take Liko to Petco. Liko hadnt been to the groomers in quite a while making this haircut a difficult one for the groomer, at least thats what I would imagine. Ashlyn was AMAZING! She treated Liko so well and had great things to say about him. He looked so good. I will definitely be taking him back to her in the future! BEST GROOMING EXPERIENCE!! Thanks Ashlyn

Advertising rabies shots from 10am-11:30. I show up at 11:20 because my senior dog gets very nervous and the lady is already packed up and walks out right past me as Im asking where to go. The grooming lady tells me if I want to drive across town I can. No thanks how about working the hours posted. This is my 2nd time visiting Petco. 1st time was 10 years ago when they traumatized my dog while clipping his nails. Will not be making 3rd visit mistake.

I especially like the grooming service. My Mi-Ki is a rare breed dog, but he is always groomed to standard. I also like that I can get him in without waiting for days to get an appointment. When I mentioned to the trainer that he was not motivated by food, toys, or affection as previous dogs had been, she said to use excitement. I feel silly, but it works (and without paying for obedience classes.).

Not easy to find someone if you are looking for something specific, and the prices are a little high anyway, the store itself is very clean, just confusing, in the left back is everything for Cats, but scratchers and carriers are at the opposite, it took us a while to find the carriers since no employee tried to help, I guess I will just order my stuff online at Amazon ....

The last 3 times ive went to this location to get super worms ive got 100ct and each time had to return the next day. Because each container only had 20 in them out of 100!! Now the managers were very plesent and immediately fixed the problem but if u are going there to get any type of worms i would definitely count them first or as soon as u get home

Odd that a store of this size had no one at the registers for check out. Could not see anyone around to help. Had to wait a few minutes and someone finally ran up to the check out. Had to ask for a bag for the liquid flea products I bought in case they leak. Check out guy acted like I grew a third eye.

All we get is attitude and excuses this location just opened and the employees need to be retrained. They didnt have an item so they said we could get free shipping if we ordered online. The "free shipping" didnt happen so they gave us coupons, tried to use them and got attitude from the manager.

Dont buy dry dog food from this location. It molds after a couple of weeks. The store refused to replace the dog food because I did not have my original receipt or bag it came in. I could prove purchase via my credit card or their rewards program but that was not good enough. DO NOT SHOP THERE!

The employees here are always helpful and knowledgeable. Theyre more than happy to help you with any questions. Checking out can be a little slow at times with only 1 or 2 cashiers but Im fine with that as theyll always apologize for the wait and so friendly about everything.

Store is always clean. Staff very friendly and helpful when you are in need of finding something and you cannot find it on your own. I do wish they had a bigger selection of small animal food but its not a deal breaker!

Great location in a busy Plaza. Staff all friendly and helpful. The animals all seemed well cared for and cages kept clean. Would definitely recommend this location for small pets and food n such.
