I shop at this location quite often because its close to my house. But after today Ill never return there again. Ive had problems with this store numerous times in the past and chose to look past it because it was convenient to go there, but I wont be returning after today. I stopped in to grab treats for my dog and a new toy. When I got there my dog decided to go to the bathroom in the parking lot, I immediately went into the store to see if I could get a bag to clean up the mess and when I walked in no one could be found. I walked around the store for a little while and then eventually started calling out to see if there was an employee even in the store. A couple of minutes go by and a woman finally popped up, she was pleasant and directed me to the clean up station. I grabbed the treats an the toy my dog picked out and cashed out. The cashier let me take the tags off the toy so my dog could have it, by the time we walked to the doors to leave the toy broke, we seriously only walked 10 ft. There was an employee outside sitting right in front of the door smoking a cigarette, he saw the toy had broken, so I asked him if I could just exchange it real quick because they were about to close. The employee named John instantly gave me an attitude and rolled his eyes at me and blatantly said no and grabbed his phone and started to act like he was talking on it. I asked him if he was serious and why he was catching an attitude with me when I asked a simple question and he continued to act like a jerk. And his final words were "hope you have better luck tomorrow" as I was walking to my car. This is the final straw. theres like two employees that are decent in that entire place, the rest literally treat you like youre a big inconvenience. And God forbid if you need to trade anything out, they treat you like in a criminal even when you have the receipt in your hand and the product is unopened. On top of it all this location is far from clean. Half of the dog cleaning products are leaking on the shelves. The time before the last I went in to get a moisturizer for my dogs skin and every bottle was covered with a sticky yellow substance. I brought it to one of the employees attention and asked if they could give me something to wipe the bottle down and my hands because it was all over the place, they said sure and never returned. And they find out he went on his break. If you would have told me he was going on break I would have been more than understanding and would have gotten help elsewhere. I could go on and on about the experiences I had here with just shopping and Grooming. I guess I should have learned my lesson a long time ago, but here I am. I hope its just bad luck on my part and others arent treated the way I was, Im just glad I never had to ask for any real help or suggestions. My word of advice to anybody who shops at this location, if you think youre going to have any questions about any type of product or anything like that, save yourself the trouble and do the research before you step into this location and if you want to avoid a bad shopping experience and disappointment, choose another location or an entirely different pet supply chain all together. Sadly I would rather shop at Walmart then Petco at this point.

This store lacks in everyway...I went into this store on several occasions, and basically, you could pour gasoline on yourself, light it on fire, before youd find anyone who is interested in helping you. I specifically was looking for stuff to treat my dog and cats for fleas. I wandered back and forth, back and forth before I decided to buy something, anything, as long as it would take care of the fleas. Before I use any product, I google the reviews for the products. PETCO SELLS CRAP! Basically, Hartz Flea Spray for cats, will in most peoples opinions, kill your cat by causing organ damage. They sell Bio Spot brand products. My cat started to die, I called the 800 number for help, I was switched to the good folks at the ASPCA. They said they get more calls about Bio Spot products than anything else...Returning the crap I bought, was another hassle...You have to take a store gift card instead of a refund. They do not refund cash, which would allow me to go somewhere that cares and buy a replacement product...If PETCO, "is where the pets go", why would they sell products like Hartz brands when there are hundreds of lawsuits against Hartz for the damage their products have done to peoples animals? Bad service, bad products, bad refund policies...High prices, and ill informed complacent clerks whod rather talk about their weekends than help customers!

No matter where you go, it seems to be the same darn thing everywhere. Our pets are doomed. I have had similar experiences with Petsmart. Bottom line - my findings were as follows: You are your own victims advocate who has to breathe down their neck to make sure that they are doing their job. Nobody wants to LISTEN to what you are looking to have done, what you are telling them or what you want them to know. It seems todays society is so busy with not missing a text message over not forgetting what they were told or requested to do. Its all the same. I have run into this same problem with my vet staff. They are soooooo busy with everything but paying attention and listening. It got to the point to where I am getting ready to let the Dr. know how I feel about having been ignored by her staff and well see if things improve or if I go to another vet (and I already have a backup plan B and C and D).

I took my Westie puppy for his first grooming at Petco. They were nice and seemed to be very knowledgable, but when I showed up to pick my puppy, I was very surprised they did the wrong grooming on my dog. They did the grooming for the Scottish Terrier and not the Westie. But the worse thing is that after the grooming, my dog stared to have problem in his eye, and went back and complained, but they said my dog was with problems before already, which was not true. After that day, my doge eye just got worse. I took him to the vet and he had to have a surgery to remove a papilomma (kind of cancer, caused by a small injury). It cost me $400, and my dog to have to go through the whole process of a surgery, pain and recovery. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE, AND DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR GROOMING SERVICE TO ANYONE.

Every time I go in, I am never greeted or offered any help. If you see anyone there, they purposefully avoid eye contact and pretend to be busy. Most of the time there are a few associates gathered up front shooting the breeze. No one seems to be very knowledgeable about reptiles in the store either. When I went to try to get a female leopard gecko, the first person I hunted down had no idea how to tell and would not let me look for myself. She managed to hunt down someone who actually knew what they were doing to help me. The last time I bought cat food it had been expired for a year!!! The next bag on the shelf (and the last bag) was also expired. I had to get a different but similar food. Check your dates anytime you buy something!!!!
