Just like every other JCPenney Ive been in, this place looks like a relic straight out of the 70s, complete with unfinished floors, partially unlit signs, stained carpets, dirty ceiling tiles, and an overall impression that the store hasnt really been renovated since it opened, even though it has. Beyond appearances, this store has a pitiful offering of clothes for boys or men, aside from some overpriced formal clothes. Last I checked, this location still lacks the tiny appliance section that some other locations have added recently. In the 15 years I have shopped at this particular location, I have managed to find two or three items that I actually deemed worthy of buying, and I check every time Im at the mall. The one thing that sets this store apart from the other department stores at this mall is that it has a hair salon, and the one time I tried getting a haircut there it was expensive and they didnt cut it the way I told them to. Honestly, unless youre looking for a vast array of makeup offerings, youd be better off going to the Sears.

First off I believe the decorator Jasmine E Dougherty has little or no experience and she just is not a trustworthy reputable designer. She came in with her swatches and as I looked over and chose a few to work with and changed my mind and asked her opinion, all I really got from her was agreement. Not a real opinion or custom reason why I should or should not use one or the other. Luckily I knew pretty much what I wanted and made my choices with no professional input except measurements.I then placed my custom order on second visit to confirm my choices in mid August of 2015. It is now Nov 4 and I still dont have my order.She processed my check then and there and thought it went through twice and said I should check with my bank and cancel one of the checks if it did. I had an unfortunate incident where my wedding band was stolen from our home. My husband and I had only been married for approximately 1 month; but I had purchased the band 5 months before our wedding. After the break in I contacted JCPennys Countrysides jewelry department. I knew my warranty did not cover theft, but I wanted to find out what could be done about replacing the ring. Kirsten, an "expert" sales associate, was able to honor the same price (plus a small discount) of what we originally purchased the ring for (which was the sale price in October). She was so compassionate and understanding toward our loss, and made a tragic and costly event, a little more tolerable. I was very impressed by the customer service I had been offered.

Ok, So I receive a call at 2 and I was asked to come in at 3 Oclock for an interview. After driving all the way there. The interviewer walks out, looks at me, and VERY RUDELY gauks at me. I was presentable in a nice actual polo. I was not informed of a "Formal dress code" prior. But, before i could ever get a word in she makes A NUMBER of RUDE and OFFENDING comments until I stormed out and told her thanks for wasting my time. If this is the hiring manger, I dont even want to know the kind of people they have working here. It was very unprofessional. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO FALLING INTO THE WRONG HANDS!

by far the worst jcpenney i have dealt with thus far. i have been waiting on an order to come in for 2 weeks, after being told it would be available in the store in 4 days. every department i talk to tells me something different about shipments and orders. i have called every day and been put on hold for over 30 minutes each time to find out if my order is there yet. no one in the store can figure out how to transfer and they just send me from one person to the next. i will not be ordering from this company in the future, nor visiting this location in the country side mall. thanks!

The place is a disaster. Cement floors. It looks ugly, rundown, and dirty. How could you get high prices when it looks like a bargain store? The employees are not dressed professional. Hard to find an employee to even help you. I would give it 0 stars if I could. JCPenny sure went downhill. They should replace the CEO. This company wont be in business long.

Spend a couple hundred on luggage, should have just left it. Was sent away by two different cashiers claiming that the register was for that specific dept and she was a "specialist" (Paula in curtains) & again in appliances, same push away treatment. maybe they should post signs next to individual items letting you know where you are allowed to check out!

I bought a Samsung dishwasher. We paid more than we should. Paid for delivery and installation which was done improperly. Paid for extended warranty. When I called for service, it took about 7 phone calls and got nothing but a runaround. Poor experience, will never buy another appliance from Pennys.
