When youre looking for consistently good southern cooking, look no further than this Cracker Barrel. Ill start off with the store part - the store side has a pretty large variety of items to buy, from Tates Cookies and Moon Pies, to classic TV shows on DVD and a talking parrot toy. The staff members at the store are always nice and helpful. Moving on to the restaurant, Ill start off with the biscuits, and boy are they good! They have a slight sweet taste and once you have one bite, you want to keep eating and eating them till youre out of biscuits. They dont even need any kind of jam, jelly, or butter spread, theyre good to eat even plain. The pancakes here are also very good. Theyre medium sized and then with the 100% pure syrup, you cant go wrong with those, but of course you cant go wrong with their crispy bacon and scrambled eggs either. Ive mostly tried the breakfast items on the menu, but for the few times Ive had a lunch or dinner menu item, theyre good too. The service here is usually pretty good, except sometimes the food can take a while and the most recent time I ate here for dinner (as of writing this review) we werent given the breakfast menu, which I thought was odd that we had to ask for it even though breakfast is served all day. Overall, my experience has been consistently good here and I will of course return.

This location in St. Pete was hard to take because Ive been to Cracker Barrels from Tampa, FL, to Bryan, OH, and this one was just sad! It was somewhat early, & it was shortly after Irma blow thru so we were glad to find it open, but the manager seemed to have an angry snarl in his demeanor and was snapping at his staff. And, by the way, the waiter we had was wonderful! He made sure we had everything that we needed, but our coffee was luke warm, the grits we ordered were not done and the biscuits were the only thing that were good about our small meal. So, my mom spoke with the manager about the grits and how they werent done, & he said the strangest thing, he said,Both of them?" As if the grits had to have been served from separate pots! How can a manager be so detached from how things go in the kitchen? And without saying Im sorry or we hope your next visit will be better, etc., he turned to the cashier & said Take the bill off and walked away! Shocking! Which made us both feel embarrassed for being there! As I said, I have Never, Ever been treated so shamefully at Any restaurant. Oh, and on a general note about the atmosphere, which I know that the staff cant help, but it was extremely loud! Terrible experience and i wont return to that location, but it wont stop me from going the other Cracker Barrel restaurants!

I have never been in a restaurant and felt like I did not belong there or treated like a common thief. This has happen twice at the restaurant, this time I was trying to give them a chance, but they fail. I felt like I was a thief. I was so angry I just paid for my dinner and left. As I was looking for some mints to buy a sales associate keep watching me, but never said can I help you. Every step I made she was right there. I work for a living and I have no desire to steal. This will be my last time return to this restaurant and I will not recommend. Again, there were a couple of other people viewing items, but the store clerk was watching me like a hawk. I mean every time I moved she was right there. I am so pissed right now because I have never been treated like this before. I am done with Cracker Barrel Store #535.

We went to this cracker barrell on 7/14 around 9:30p we were served by Angela P (787898) she came up to my Fiance and I she gave us the meanest look and said do we want drink we used our please and thank you the whole time we were there she kept giving use shady looks and unpleasant services. We go to cracker barrell all the time this had got to be the worst service ever. When we were leaving the manager or supervisor named Bobby asked how was everything my Fiance said it was not the service we expected and he replied "okay cool" what kind of manager says that to their customers to make matters worst when we were there I could see him watching us looking over our table. Idk what kind of hospitality they have going on there but upper management needs to figure it out.

Food was really good and staff was adequate for the late hours. Waiter was experienced but he seamed to be a little uninterested in our family with 2 1year olds and a child. He rolled his eyes when we asked questions and complained he would have to get his glasses out and huffed because we asked if we could substitute for a non fried side for my daughter. He other then gathering dishes he was not very present for us but was frequent with the adult tables. I feel he treated us like a messy bothersome family before even getting started. Meanwhile my mother taught me to keep a table clean and kids controlled. We still tipped generously as always but feel he was a little snobby.

Bad experience server acted like she did not care about her job and was not friendly. Food was brought out cold. We had no intentions of bringing the matter up until the cashier asked and we told her and she called for a manager. We told her we didnt want to speak with a manager but the cashier and another employee insisted. Manager comes out and she acted just like our server...dont care attitude. All she told us was that she would follow up with the server. I felt like this manager treated me like i wanted a discount or something but truth of the matter, we were not the ones that insisted in even speaking to the manager.

Get bypassed for seating as if I didnt exist and I was standing in front of desk. I wasnt asked about breakfast menu, ordered daughters food when asked about myself I stated not a dam thing. The food comes along next thing I know Im wearing my drink. While trying to pay,I get my daughters little beanies, one doesnt have a tag, get another and neither does that one, in my agitated state I ask if the entire basket is untagged. They try to get me to verify total and to add tip, I said yeah I aint tipping nothing, get my receipt and leave. Note, not a single manager to be found nor did they care to address it.

Service was great but the Chicken and dumplings were bland and the hash brown casserole tasted like it had sat out over night or something. It also was very bland tasting. It was crusty stale and not that I wanted more but there wasnt a very big serving of it.The fried apples and biscuits were delicious though. I had my mouth all set for it and was disappointed. But like I said the service was good and the Manager was real nice. I would not recommend this particular Cracker Barrel but I normally have a fantastic experience dining at this franchise.
