Bradenton Store I apologize, this review was for the Sarasota location. Have been taking my 3 year old poodle to this location for grooming since he was 10 weeks old. Never again.. the cuts are good but the management is pathetic. I had a 8 am appointment and believe me my dog knows when I tell him he is going to Pet Smart for a hair cut, he was excited for days. Dropped him off at 8am to find out the groomer had a fender bender and would be a few minutes late, no problem. Phoned at 11:30am and the groomer was not there but will be there soon, ok but please let my dog out to relieve himself or I will have to come and get him (he will not go in the cage). The girl stated OK we do not do this but I will this time. I dropped in the store at 3:45pm my dog had been in the cage all day. The manager said I would have to rebook and I would get a small discount! There were 3 other dogs being groomed at that time! Small discount, I missed half a days work and my dog smelled so bad I could hardly drive him home. The groomers have always been nice and polite but the management has a 3rd grade education level. I would stay away.

Purchased a fish tank from here and I live in Sarasota but this one was the only one with the product in stock. Opted to pick it up in-store and after driving 40 minutes each way i got home to find that the tank was completely cracked. Called to have them hold another one in-store and didnt have time to drive the hour and a half round trip so my wife went to pick it up. They gave her hassle on top of hassle EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD THE BOX WITH MY NAME WRITTEN ON IT RIGHT AT THE FRONT WAITING FOR ME!!!!!! My wife had to call me at work because they did not want to switch out the tank even though I had called them and had laid out plans with the manager who was working that day, and told them exactly what had happened and they told me that it could be exchanged with no problem... after all of the problems they hassled my wife with, Ive got to say that this was definitely false advertising... this place is horribly mismanaged and I have to say I will never ever buy anything from the bradenton Petsmart ever EVER again.

I am not pleased with my experience at Petsmart in Bradenton, FL. I called yesterday and talked with Chelsea about my puppy getting groomed. She quoted me a price of $17.99 plus a $3.00 charge because of the weekend hours. I told her I would like the 8:30 available appointment this morning. I called this morning before taking my puppy in, and her appointment was not taken down (after I had talked to Chelsea for about 20 minutes about her appointment). Nick said to go ahead and come in. My husband came to pick our puppy up this morning and Shanell charged him $48.00. He disputed the price with them. They only took the price down to $30.01. Also, They did not groom her in the way that I had asked. I am unhappy with the service we received and the product we purchased. I am unsatisfied and feel that I was lied to. I will NOT be taking my puppy back to Petsmart to get groomed. We will be taking her somewhere else from now on. Petsmart has lost my business.

Made an appt for 1/28/17 at 4pm for My puppy boxer, Emma, 3 days in advance at 4pm.. They gave me the Petsmart card with the time and date. We booked her for teeth cleaning, puppy flea bath and nail trim. My girl friend leaves work early to bring her and when she got there they said they had no open space and can only squeeze her in. My dog was there for over 2 hours and what did she recieve? A puppy bath. Nothing more. What the hell is the point in booking a time for your dog if their not going to uphold it? Extremely unhappy with the way their grooming station did their dog. Now its to another petsmart location to book another time to actually get the job done. Thanks for wasting our time. Next time do your job correctly.

I had my Shih Tzu groomed there regularly for over 18 months, thru 2 price increases. They gave a little report card saying all the services they did, such as groom his ears. Come to find out, my dog got an ear infection from water being retained in his ear because the hair wasnt plucked as it should have been -- AND as they indicated they were doing! The vet stood there and pulled a pile of hair out of my babys ear just 2 weeks after he was groomed. The vet, who has treated this puppy since we got him at 7months old, said that was way too much hair for it to have been plucked two weeks before. They will never touch another pet of mine. I just regret all the money I spent on grooming fees and tips with these thieves.

Took my dog to get groomed...while we were waiting for the groomer I had requested there was a dog getting groomed and the lady grooming him was not very nice the dog was scared and did bite her...she looked up and saw me looking and said, " Dont bite."...when she took the dog to the back I could hear her screaming at the dog....this made me very uncomfortable and concerned about how she treats the animals she comes into contact with. I then preceded to let my groomer know what happened and that I did not want that lady around my dog. My dogs groomer is amazing, but the lady that was screaming needs to find a job that does not entail animals.

My mom took our sheepdog in to be shaved due to some mats he wouldnt let us brush out. The process went well beyond the quoted time, never got a courtesy call, worse still he had knicks, cuts, and abrasions all over, including places where he had not had mats, he left the store favoring his back left leg. When called and confronted about all of this the alleged supervisor dismissed the issues as being related to how busy they were and his mats, and offered to have one of their banfield vets look at him. Sorry we have our own vet and know better than to trust banfield. And now know not to trust petsmart with anything else.

I took my poodle in this morning for grooming.. Didnt know i had to have an appointment so when i approached the front counter the lady just asked in a dry voice. "do you have an appointment?" I said no I wasnt aware I had to make one... The lady looked at me like i was stupid and talked to me like I was stupid from then on as we were making an appointment...I didnt appreciate the fact that she made me uncomfortable and will never go back there for anything at all because of the way i was treated... I sincerely think that places like this should train there employees on how to talk to customers and treat people.

Ive bought my pets food at pet smart since 1996. We recently moved from Ohio to Florida. Today when I went there, I asked the cashier to change my information for my PetSmart card, new address, phone # and etc. This was while she was ringing up my purchases. She said "I just closed that down on the register." She finished ringing me out. I said, cant you reopen it so my card is updated. She said no, its too much trouble unless I am working on a sale. Nevermind that she had just rung up 46.00 for me. She was lazy and uncooperative. This is the PetSmart in Bradenton off route 41. Products good, help lazy.
