Rachel Hanna post is actually me...forgot I was on the gfs laptop....Now this is not a bashing review. I am just going to post the facts about my experience and you can judge it any way you seem fit. Ok here we go. My HTC One M8 was not charging, which to my understanding is a common issue for this one..jokes on me right. I had previously heard good things about this establishment so i took my phone there on a Sunday afternoon. I was informed that they would do a free (sweet free) diagnostic which would take between 24 and 48 hours. No big deal...I have no idea how long it takes to find problems with a phone so who am I to complain. So 48 hours go by and I give them a call to see if they have started/have an update. They informed me they had not yet started but would do it by the end of the business day...ok cool im pumped to see whats wrong with this phone. I receive an email 2 hours later stating they did the diagnostic (that was quick-2 hours...keep this number in mind for later) and my phone required a new charge port. This port would take another 3 to 5 business days due to having to order it from the manufacturer. This was on a Wed so they informed me the earliest I would get my phone back is the upcoming Friday or Monday (today as I am writing this). "Alrighty no big deal parts take a while to ship I know this for a fact." Now this is what I found interesting...they directly stated that "we fix it as soon as the part comes in and only takes an hour or two to replace a port." Wow they work fast (1-2 hrs)...which would be a total of around 4 hours of work..which comes into play later. Now, before doing any research, which i should have done before, but as a broken phone can be frustrating i neglected to do so, I was quoted for $107.00. Did I find this price a little steep when they informed me? Sure...but a charge port plus labor...business needs to be profitable right so no harm no fuss...except this will be argued in a minute. So...today is Monday...8 days without a phone (kinda nice actually) and I call them for an update...I was asked by the rep if I have my phone or if it was at their location....hmmm did not know how to answer that one...so i simply stated "there?" In which he responded "yes it is." He then informed me that my phone was about to be fixed (1 pm) for which i received an email at 3 pm that it was ready . YES!!! So i get to the store grab my phone...ask a couple questions about what may have been wrong with it...he said the port maybe burned out...asked if the battery was ok..."ya battery is fine." Cool...107 bucks...see ya. I get home and put my phone on the charge which then states "you need the original charger or it will not charge properly." hmmm...ok...ill go to verizon and buy a badass charger for my new port...get to Verizon and have the rep open 3 different chargers so I can try them...all of which bring up the same alert...maybe just a mistake its still charging...so i wait 10 mins in which is charges 2%....damn....so I call ubreak...they tell me that I should get a whole new charger not just the cord ....bro...3 chargers same situation. Next he stated "ok well you may need to come back in because the charging port may be faulty and we may need to order a new one." Huh? Faulty? And then it hits me...all of these chargers I used produced the same alert on my phone and did not charge sufficiently...and it was on the charger at the store for around 2 hrs before i arrived and was at 30%...soooo did they see this issue while it was charging? orrrr just put the charge port in started charging it and didnt look at it again? Am I an idiot for not thoroughly checking their work before leaving? Interesting first 2 questions....definite idiot on my part. So I am a little frustrated at this point so this is when a consumer starts getting into the details about a transaction...right? 4 hrs of work over 4 days (waiting for parts) 30 dollars for a charge port (including shipping...looked it up)....100 total...and my phone is still not working...interesting

The charging port on my mothers phone stopped working so she could not charge it and the phone eventually died. She bought a new phone but her old phone was not connected to the cloud so she could not retrieve the pictures from the old phone. For this reason, I took the old phone (the one with the non-functioning charging port) to UBreakIFix to have them fix it so I could then take the pictures off the phone. I explained this entire situation to the representative that helped me and he reassured me they would fix the charging port so that I could charge the phone and get the pictures off the phone. I left the phone with them and received a call stating the repair would be $130. I agreed to it after he explained it would consist of simply resoldering the charging port. When they called me back to tell me the work was done, I went to pick up the phone which was given to me completely uncharged. I took the phone home and charged it, but when I turned it on, the entire phone had been factory reset. I know for a fact the phone had all the pictures and contacts in it before I turned it into UBreakIFix so they must have factory reset it for some reason which seemed odd since resoldering a charging port does not require a factory reset on the device. I called UBreakIFix and explained the situation to Charles, but his only response was that he had never seen something like this before. He then spoke to Alex who said the same thing. They continued to deny having factory reset the phone and told me that all they did was resolder it, but no one else could have factory reset it if all the information was there before I gave them the phone to fix and then it was all gone right after. I asked them for a credit of at least half of what I paid since I now felt like I paid $130 for nothing since I really dont need the phone, I just wanted the pictures off of it, and they would not even meet me half way. I am leaving this complaint here to save other customers the trouble of working with this company because obviously they are not aware of what their technicians are doing when they fix devices and then are refusing to compensate customers for having done the wrong thing. I specifically told the representative that I only wanted the phone to work so I could get the pictures off of it and they factory reset it and then denied having done so. I am extremely disappointed. This is the first and last time I will ever use UBreakIFix.

Super friendly staff that made a really upsetting situation a lot easier to deal with. It wasnt cheap, but like most of us, I cant go without a phone. It was that or buy out my phone contract from Verizon for $500something then purchase a brand new one. So they saved me well over $500. They had my screen glass and LCD parrs in stock (Lake Mary and alsso seminole mall store told me it would be at least a week ) then they had it fixed up in less than 2 hours. Fast and cheaper than every other competitor I checked with in Seminole County. I hope I dont ever have to go back again, but I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to all my friends. It really was the best option for me on a smashed practically new phone (Galaxy S7). Staff treated me with kindness, compassion, honestly and professionalism that you dont get from many places any more. Thanks to your team. You turned around my really bad week. Ill definitely look into the screen protector you suvgested to help save my and my kids phones from future issues. Can you post that info on your website? (Pricing and warranty info). Thanks again. You havd an Awesome team. Unfortunately I just couldnt afford another $150 for 3 phones today (for the protectors) on top of what I was paying for the fix alone but hope to do it soon. And Ill definitely come to the best! Thank you so much to your team. Super kind and professional.
