I recently purchased an engagement ring from TT and I couldnt have been more satisfied with my experience. I initially went to TT on a whim in order to comparison shop for the perfect ring. After meeting with the staff, I was thoroughly impressed with all the information I received. The initial customer service experience was unlike anything else I had seen at the other diamond stores I visited. Marc and Susan were extremely friendly and honest about the process. It was clear that their goal was not only to find me the perfect ring, but also to get me the best deal so I could stay within my budget (something I hadnt witnessed at the other stores I went to). They recommended ideas that were unlike other things I had heard in my search, ideas that were unbiased so that I could make a clear and informed decision. To give a couple examples, they didnt try to do a hard sell of a platinum setting (like the other stores I visited), instead giving pros and cons of platinum vs. white gold vs. yellow gold. Additionally, they didnt try to force upon me an elaborate, diamond laden setting like the others stores, instead, delving into the details of the advantages and disadvantages of a solitaire setting vs. a pave/channel setting. In short, the customer service got me hooked. After deciding I wanted to work with TT to get my ring, I was handed over to Dave to try and pick out the perfect diamond. Like Marc, and Susan, Dave really guided me through the buying process and really helped me to explore all my options within my budget (and under budget). Because of Treasure Troves process of buying diamonds, Dave ended up finding me some awesome stones at better prices than Mervis, Chas Schwartz, and Boone & Sons. After choosing my stone, the setting we picked out was not only to my liking, but also extremely more affordable than those showed to me at Mervis and Chas Schwartz. Dave also showed me how to clean the diamond and said that I could come in, free of charge, anytime I wanted him to clean the ring with his specialty tools, a process that Mervis said they charged for. In the end, TT gave me the best overall experience in buying my engagement ring. Awesome customer service, great selection of stones/settings, and a phenomenal price. I highly recommend Treasure Trove to anyone looking to make that big purchase!

I recently got engaged and cannot thank Dave and Treasure Trove enough for the wonderful experience I had all the way around. My fiancé had told me that she wanted something unique and I spent quite a bit of time scouring pictures online to find a picture online of exactly what I wanted. Armed with a picture on my phone, I went to Treasure Trove and showed it to Dave who told me that, despite its unique nature, it was definitely something that he could create. Dave was almost as excited about creating the ring as I was and he immediately began pulling out catalogues and had ordered several of the pieces by the time I had left the store. One of my favorite things about the whole experience was how carefully Dave listened to everything I said, from what my fiancé had asked for, to the budget I was prepared to spend, and he never once tried to push me in any direction, as many jewelers do, but instead simply showed me the best version of what I had already said I was looking for. A week later, I returned to the store where Dave spent over an hour explaining to me every aspect of diamond grading and had me choose between several that he had brought in. All the diamonds he brought in were gorgeous , but together we examined each of them under 10X magnification until I decided on the one I liked best. Shortly after that, Dave let me come in and take pictures as his jeweler set the diamond in the ring (my fiancé loves having pictures of the ring being brought together as it proves that it was specially made just for her). When I finally bought the ring, he even gave me an excellent bottle of champagne to celebrate with! My fiancé loves her ring and she and her friends have all been stunned by the brilliance of the diamond Dave helped me pick out… it is not the biggest diamond in the world, but it has more fire, brilliance, and sparkle than any other diamond I have ever seen. The only possible downside of the purchase is that my fiancé may now be more in love with her ring than she is with me. This was by far not only the best jewelry-buying experience I have ever had, but the best consumer experience. I have never had someone as equally concerned and conscientious about what I wanted as Dave was and I look forward to returning to his store shortly to purchase our bands.

Almost six months ago I started my search for an engagement ring. I had no idea about diamonds, rings styles, etc. I was a complete neophyte on the subject. I started by googling jewelry stores and Treasure Trove was one of the highest ranked in the DC area so after some quick reading on rings and diamonds I went there first. When I originally went to Treasure Trove I talked to Dave and he obviously knew I had no idea what I was doing and he told me so. After explaining some aspects of the ring buying experience and what he could do to help me out, he told me to check out his competitors and see what other stores were offering. I took his advice and quickly learned why he was so confident about sending me to his competitors. In short many stores are terrible. They will try to pressure sell you, wont offer to let you look at your diamond with a loupe, and many other shady used car salesman techniques. After a few visits to these other places I went back to Treasure Trove and I couldnt be happier with that decision. Dave ordered around 6 diamonds in my price range for me to look at, and I went back numerous times to look at them over and over again to see which one I thought my girlfriend would prefer. Dave was always kind and generous with his time and didnt mind that it took me almost a month to come to a decision. After I decided he gave me a more than fair deal and had the ring ready in less than a week. (Most of the other places needed a few weeks to get the diamond mounted.) I have nothing but praise for Dave and staff at Treasure Trove. They made the ring buying experience very pleasant and Ive already recommended them to others and will do so again. Furthermore, we will buy our wedding bands from Treasure Trove. Updated 9-17-2013 We ended up buying our wedding bands from Treasure Trove and Dave helped us once again. The experience was great again as my fiance had trouble deciding what type of ring to get. Dave helped her throughout the whole process and having just gotten married a few days ago we both love our rings. Thanks again to Dave and Treasure Trove.

Bottom line, if you are in the process of engagement ring shopping, you should not buy a ring until you have at least visited Treasure Trove and talked with David. The customer service there is unparalleled. I was looking for an engagement ring for my fiance, and started doing research online about places in DC to get a ring. I must admit I was a little hesitant at first to try this place, but all the reviews were nothing short of spectacular, so I walked in and looked at their selection. I knew exactly the style of ring my fiance wanted and didnt see it in any of the showcases. I brought a picture of the style of ring she wanted and showed it to David. He went back to his vendor with the picture and description of the ring I wanted and showed me more styles online that better matched the style. I then picked out the ring from those. Once my ring was picked out, David helped me pick out the best stone... I could afford. I told him the cut and carat I wanted and he let me pick from many diamonds. He brought me to the back of the store where I was instructed on how to view the diamonds under a loop, and after narrowing down the diamonds (I came back at least three separate times) I picked the one. It was around this time that the prototype of the ring came into the store (so I could see what it would look like in real life as opposed to online) and although happy, I wasnt 100% happy; I felt bad, but I only plan on doing this once, so I wanted it to be perfect. I asked David if the ring could be modified to better accommodate my desire. After checking with his vendor, he confirmed that it could be modified. It was then that I had to approve technical drawings that met my exact needs. I couldnt see what it was going to look like except on paper because I was getting a one-of-a-kind ring. Lets just say the ring came back and it was better than I could have asked for, and under budget!
