I was going to write a review when I got home yesterday on the Home Depot website and i couldnt figure out how to rate a store. I was so angry leaving the store i figured i should sleep on it and see if i was still mad today.. im still mad today! Ive been going to this specific home depot for years. it just keeps getting worse and worse. let me paint a picture for you. nobody helping in the garden section. just customers walking in circles not bveing helped. You DO know that people tend to have questions in gardens, right? They always have people helping in garden. i doubt they even had someone scheduled. ridiculous. the returns desk has one girl busting her butt to help a crowd of people (more on her later. she always go above and beyond). walk over to the pro desk, and theres a crowd of employees chit chatting. how do you have a crowd of employees laughing with each other in one area of the store when the other is in shambles? where are the managers when all this is going on? If this was a one time thing i would understand but its not. they have a bynch of employees that would rather talk to each other than help out. they can be rude nasty people. ive been in line behind people screaming for a manager for twenty minutes before anyone shows up and im convinced they just dont care. this is normal, every day occurance. they have some employees who are great and have kept me coming back (little service desk girl whose name i dont remember... im sorry but she has brown/red hair and theres a cashier named jen. both are always positive and knowledgable. more than i can say for the big cranky girl who is rude and has been there forever. You may be thinking "which one?" to which i respond..... "Exactly!" because they seem to be multiplying there. Advice to HD: reward the kind and helpful employees! They keep us coming back as much as the products and prices get rid of the people who are sitting down and talking all day while the rest of the store is busy get it into your employees heads that when they are being nasty to one another in front of your customers, that is STILL considered rude. i dont care if youre busy chatting up a cute girl, dont be an @ss to someone who calls you to help a customer. get the managers to seem like they give a you know what. at least pretend to care. this goes for most of the employees schedule people to be in the busy sections on your busy days work on the pro desk, man... i avoid that area like the plague now. For customers: Try going to the bristol or the other southington HD. Theyre not as bad. Also, NEVER EVER EVER EVER order anything from this store. it doesnt matter how nice the girls in the store are, im still going to be pissed beyong belief when i come to pick up my order when its supposed to be ready and find that its not ready. it ceases to be an issue of being short staffed or whatever excuses they want to use when it goes on for months. Get your stuff together!!!!!!!!!!!!! EDIT: Service desk girl is named erin and shes great

Absolutely horrendous experience there. Purchased a drill from another store. Opened the drill at home to use only to discover everything in the box was used, repackaged and returned. Went to my local Southington store and was told I needed to return it to store I bought it and that it was their responsibility. I was treated like the bad guy in this. I nicely explained to the front desk that being a national chain I should be able to return or exchanged items at any location. One of them through her hands up in the air saying to the other employees you guys do want to walked the way. I then was told the item dropped by $50 in price and I should definitely go there for a price adjustment as they couldnt do that there either. They finally ended up swapping the drill but not fixing the price. ***Update Called and spoke to a manger Dom, who was very friendly and helpful. Said the issue would be addressed and to ask for him next time I need to get something and he would take care of me. If only the rest of the staff was as good as him*****

So I often go to this home depot and I bought some plumbing items and went to the pro desk to put everything in the bid room and the guy that works at the pro desk by the name of Gary was talking to another contractor about things that wasnt related to work so I waited and the contractor him self turned around and said he can help you we are just talking so I put the supplies on the desk and told him I wanted to put them in the bid room and he rolled his eyes and continues talking to his friend and dint say a word to me wow the employee that was there working noticed that I was ignored by Gary witch is not the first time he has treated me like if I was nothing but anyways he told me to come to his side and took very good care of me so I spoke with the manager John and he said he will speak with him so I just wanted it to be known dont know if this guy Gary has done it to anyone els or is it just me

Went and picked up a toilet seat . After watching a YouTube video I see its something easy.to do ( replace) Went to Home Depot and purchased my first toilet seat took it home open it nice and neat its to big . I drive back down to exchange it for the right size . Home Depot staff informed me they cant exchange it because they cant resell it . For real ? Not that I used it or any of the nuts or bolts and I cant get 15 dollars back to purchase a more expensive one . As they handed back to me . Lowes just earned a new customer

This is one of the nicer HD stores in the area. The employees are very helpful and the store is always organized and clean. Im a contractor and I go to a Home Depot almost daily. Ill go an extra few miles to go to this store when Im in the area.

Love this store...we spend so much time there, people know us. Carl the manager in garden is great. He helps us wth everything. Also, there is always someone to help put the heavy items in the car.
