While the rest of the store staff is friendly and helpful, the aquatics person is horrible. I believe his name is Ron. Long hair, hippie-type man with a nasty disposition. His customer service skills are poor at best, and apparently he thinks its perfectly fine to yell at customers, run after them out in the parking lot to continue to harass them about what theyre doing wrong. (I saw that with my own eyes.) He screamed at a young couple who brought a turtle their children had found into the store in a plastic container. They were looking for advice on how to properly care for it. Instead they were humiliated, talked down to and harassed by this person. I have had my own dealings with him as well. He has berated my choice of fish (Ive had successful aquariums for well over 20 years), made my husband and I to feel as if we were idiots for placing tetras with Mollies (Still dont see the problem there), and has left a very sour taste in our mouths. Ive spoken with the manager, but I still see Ron there, harassing people. Weve simply decided that the Newington Petco will not be getting any more of our business.

Horrible customer service. Especially the general manager name Bill, very rude to customers. Should def not be in the position of dealing with the public. Overall will not be returning to this particular store. And had told my family and friends to actually not shop at any Petco stores. I hope theyll go out of business.

Came to purchase aquatic supplies for my fish tank and was not pleased to see that many of their fish were floating dead in their tanks. I left feeling horrible and even mentioned the amount of dead fish to one of the staff members and he made it seem like it wasnt out of the ordinary. Will NOT be returning!

I have been taking my puppy here since I got her in August. The staff is very courteous and caring of her. I took her to another groomer one time and she was very skiddish after, whenever we leave Petco she is happy and her typical energetic self. I wont take her anywhere else!

The store was dirty. No one asked me if I needed help. I was interested in the ball python and no one came to help me after 30 minutes of waiting. The chinchilla did not have its dust bath on its cage. The ferrets, hamsters, rats, etc were dirty and had no food with cloudy water.

Ive had mixed results with Petco, but overall I like it. The place is huge, clean, and offers a ton of products but I always have trouble when cashing out. Its either a confused sales rep or a system issue. My dog always enjoys strolling up and down the isles though.

this has got to be the rudest and dirtiest grooming salon i have ever been to. bad from the initial phone call to checkout. two hours for a nail trim and neglected to do the other services asked.
