I have given them two stars ONLY because it is a convenient place to quickly grab bugs (when online shipments dont come in on time) to feed my reptiles.. Their "reptile specialist" knows nothing about chameleons - and frankly everything about their reptile enclosures are wrong. The veiled chameleons that are up for sale are clearly dehydrated due to inadequate misting, they are not given calcium dusted crickets, and I even recently had to witness onr male veiled chameleon laying on the substrate on the bottom of the enclosure for daysssss straight - he showed all the classic symptoms of MBD (curved limbs, sunken eyes, uneven jaw etc) a disorder that can EASILY be avoided with the proper care. Even though I made mention to staff that he was clearly unhealthy and their husbandry is incorrect NOTHING has been done to fix the error and he languished on the ground for days. Had I had the time and money I would have purchased him from that hell (and taken him to a vet to get treated for calcium deficiency, dehydration, MBD etc - and thats if he was even at a point of saving, otherwise he should have been humanely euthanized). I didnt purchase him as that would only have given them the sale they needed to move another unfortunate animal into their shop. And it isnt just the chameleons, the leopard geckos are piled one on top of another. I understand that they are placed in "showcase" enclosures that need to be small BUT that doesnt mean you need to place twenty in a five gallon tank!! Most of the leopard geckos are very underweight, with no fat supplies in their tales what so ever. Im rambling, but I was/am so disappointed in the care these lovely creatures are given. By petcos own admission they wont sell cats or dogs and implore individuals to adopt, because shopping forces the animals into unhealthy conditions in order for businesses to make a profit.. why then do they think it proper for a reptile to be put through the same deplorable living conditions? Ill probably stop visiting this store altogether and just be more conscious of ordering supplies online. **I do want to add that it is somewhat store specific. As I used to go to the Newington, CT store where they kept their chameleons/reptiles in MUCH BETTER living conditions. The ranks werent over crowded. The chameleons were adequately misted. Their bugs were clearly dusted with calcium.. etc etc.

Positively horrible grooming salon. The only groomer was extremely lazy and incapable. We went there to have our dogs nails trimmed and she claimed to have been unable to get him to step up to the table. We asked if we could go inside and give him the command to jump up and that was declined. We wasted 2 hours with this. To put things into prospective, our family dog is a very highly trained obedience and defense dog. he follows commands immediately and never fails. We were asked to leave with the dog... When I spoke about this with the store manager he had nothing to really say, it was like speaking to a wall.

As an temporary employee and even customer here, Im very proud of how every staff person gives true meaning to serious business. Each induvidual has something to talk about along with knowledge of just about anything that will be asked about. The interior is clean, though bathrooms could use a good cleaning; workers are very intelligent (dont forget family friendly too!) and all animals looked to be well cared for. No problems here, I enjoy coming back each chance I get

The staff has always been amazing. They go out of their way to be courteous and helpful. The only real issue is the fish tanks. Dont buy live plants because they have trumpet snails and youll never get them out of your tank once infested. Few times Ive seen dead fish as well. Its not horrible like Ive seen at other places, but as an aquarium junkie I was a bit upset.

Store has recently moved next to the Big Lots store. It is still in the same shopping center as it used to be but in a different store with a different layout. The store is well stocked with friendly staff, but the registers are located in the front right of the store, and are hard to find.

From Jess at the register to Noah, who remembers every dog, to Groomer EXTRAODINARE, Jess Murphy, I love this place! BTW, I think Jess Murphy is a dog whisper! Ive learned so much about dogs from her!!

The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The manager offered to special order a fish I was looking for because they didnt have it in the store. I will definitely be a repeat customer to this location.
