I came to this store for years just to buy food & pet supplies before finally buying my siberian husky here. She is a female and my bf and I fell instantly in love with her. However, owning siberian huskies my whole life my family usually always went through breeders, but we came across her and we knew she was ours. We did paperwork got accepted and we took this beautiful lady home. Not even within a week of having her did i start to realize she was lethargic and never wanted to walk. We knew something was off. as a knower an lover of huskies they LOVE to walk and are extremely energetic. we got her to the vet and they said she has severe kennel cough an they requested she be hospitalized bc her breathing was abnormal. I never experienced this with any of my other dogs so was borderline losing it. We had all these vet bills within 2 weeks of getting her an we called APC to let them hear it bc it is their job to sell and screne a pup before giving it away. they ended up taking her back for a few weeks to nurse her back to health (after fighting them to do so) an it was very inconvenient travel wise and we still spent money (living in NYC) having to travel an check up on her. However the case, we lost some puppy time with her but did get her back an she appeared to be normal and healthier.. A month ago or so, i started to notice a "skip" to her hind legs, and realized she didnt go up stairs correctly, after a long month of anxiety and questioning what this can be. A few days ago we took her to ASPCA in NYC an x rays confirmed she has severe bilateral hip displaysia (both hips) im heartbroken. we have had her for only 10 months and she JUST turned 1. shes still a baby. an however treatable her road down the line will be more difficult. her paperowork said free of hip displaysia an this is always a GENETIC thing. her breeders said her parents didnt have it. who knows if thats the truth. my suggestion is...BUY FROM A TRUSTABLE BREEDER. the apc stores completely want your money an their paperwork can be somethign totally opposite of what the truth is. i dont trust them. their policy says can return for another puppy, as if their a piece of clothing!! RIDICULOUS. never again. hate this place. my baby is so worth it and i dont regret getting her. but i regret doing business with these people.THEY ARE HORRIBLE. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN AND I CANT WAIT FOR THE DAY. PLS SAVE YOURSELF. GO TO A STORE THAT FIRST OFF DOESNT ALLOW PUPS TO ALL PLAY TOGETHER SO YOUNG THATS HOW THEY CONTRACT ILLNESSES. THEY SHOULD BE SEPARATE ALWAYS. HORRIBLE.

I recently purchased a puppy from this business . I didnt have the best experience . Aside from other issues, the puppy came home with kennel cough but is recovering. I notifed the store owner of my issues, but really didnt receive any satisfaction, other than the owner said hed have a staff meeting every 3 weeks instead of every 4 weeks. This did not address my issues and the owner didn’t seem to understand the concern I had for the health of the puppy. At the least, I think they should have offered to pay for the $20 medication that the puppy had to be on. The owner was personally upset that I was critical of the store and wanted me to post a review to the contrary. I believe these puppies come from commercial breeders. The store owner should ask his breeders to provide a contact number so buyers can speak to the breeder directly regarding any questions they have on the puppys heritage. Also it would be nice if they could supply a little puppy album showing the puppy growing up in the breeders homes. That would go far to alleviate any concerns. I will personally choose to use an reputable AKC local breeder in the future however. Added 7/20/07-I was told I would receive my registration papers 2-3 weeks after the purchase of the puppy. It has now been over 6 weeks and I still have not received them. I have requested that they be sent to me and am getting absoultely no response from the store. I have a feeling that the store owner is not happy because I placed a negative review and is withholding them from me. I have contacted the State Attorney Generals office as well as the Dept. of Consumer protection. This store is very disappointing. I wouldnt do business with them again.

In November We purchased a Neopolitian Mastiff puppy from All Pets Club in Branford which we found out came from Hollow Tree Kennels puppy mill. We took him to our vet for a new puppy exam 3 days later and could not bring him into the main section of the clinic for precautionary reasons because he had a cough. He was put on antibiotics and the next day we received a call from our vet saying he also tested positive for 2 intestinal parasites giardia and coccidia which we also treated him for. 4 weeks later we rushed him back to the vet because he was close to death with pneumonia. We!received a call from Corrine at all pets club because she said they were aware that the dog had issues when we purchased it and to send them the vet records to review and they would help with the bill( which turned out to be over $900.00 in medications and hospital expenses.) I though wow, how nice of them to do that and was impressed. WRONG!!!! l received a call from Corrine stating that they reviewed the records and tried to pick them apart and offered to give us A 125.00 store credit !!! They have absolutely no concern for their customers or the health of the puppies that they are pushing. We love our puppy and will do what ever it takes to fix him. I hope he survives this. Buyer Beware!!!

After months of telling my 8 year old that if she did well in school I was to buy her a Hamster set up. Well, I decided to buy at Pets Club (to avoid the corporate policies and such), Spent nearly $250 on the entire set up, and the very next day one of the two had a very bad ear rash of some sort. (After looking it up on the web it sounds like mites.) I called them to ask what it may be, and to do, and they offered no help, or advise. I asked if they would pay for the vet bill, and they refused. The best offer they had was for me to call the next day to speak with mgr. to hope for an exception to return it for a new one. First off, the fact that I need an exception is ridiculous. But when I asked him what they would do with the injured pet, they said just keep it aside to see what happens. No Vet check, no help, just let it suffer and die. Now I realize its a hamster, and calling 911 is hard to justify from a cost point, but to me the whole thing seems icky, and is of bad taste. I will never return to that place, and will tell everyone to avoid it. If I ran my business that way I would be out of business.
