Went here for dog shots. Great price and service when you make it to the vet. I have been using this service for years at different locations. If it starts at 2:30pm to be first in line you need to get there at least an hour ahead of time. I really think this would work better if there was a number system. People would be called by number instead of blocking the isles where people shop. You call them to fill out paperwork and have a small line by where the shots are being done. The last time I was there it was awful and owners and pets were too close together causing issues. When everyone got settled we were asked to move back several times. Each time became an issue as owners and animals wear invading each others space. Not the fault of PetCo but the company used to do the service.

I went there for the vaccine clinic. After waiting in a dog pee filled line for 2.5 hours I was told that the vet would only be giving some of the shots included in the Healthy Cat package I was paying for. Apparently the vet can choose to not vaccinate animals on a whim because her concern about a possible reaction in an advertised bundle of vaccines outweighs concern for the health of the animal going without the protection at all. I took the day off from work to waste my time and money as now I will have to take him to a vet to get the shot he needs and wasnt given. I was afforded the opportunity to spend another 3 hours in a different line in a different store if I wished to come back for the shot. I found the whole experience a shameful bait and switch.

Another pet store to buy animal supplies from. Although I would caution people buying animals from any of these big box pet stores. Please do your research first before embarking on purchasing a pet. Some, not all, of the employees know their facts on the animals. I have gone into many of these stores and have listened to what some employees tell prospective pet parents- from inaccurate health information, to wrong cage setups, to wrong pet for child. This Petco seems to be not as clean than some of the other ones that I have frequented. Their animals seem to be well- cared for with the exception of the fish and sickly looking hamster.

I know it may sound like a small thing, but I ask for 75 crickets at 16 cents each and time after time they short me some times as much as 10 or $1.60. it adds up and a poor way to treat a customer. Customer service is also a issue, but it is not as bad as it was when they first opened. Always check your meal worms, super worms and wax worms, very often half if not most of the container is dead. Wallingford Petco is the place to go for Reptiles, they have someone that knows reptiles and stocks animals other stores dont. Mansfield petco has a long way to go !!!!

First time at this location. Walked in and there were 3 guys just standing around and not one greeted me. No one helped me so I didnt find what I was looking for. When I left the same people just stood around talking and not one acknowledge I was even there. Customer service is everything. Never coming back to this location.

I found a baby mouse and I didnt know what to do with it. The staff were very helpful in pointing me to the right products. This place has everything you need for pets, as well as pets themselves.

Has a great selection. Store was, for the most part, clean and neat (must have been delivery day bkz 2 aisles we blocked full of mervhandise.) However, found prices to be rather high.

The only place I can go for my dog food and treats that does not make my dog sick. My dog loves their cookies by the weight. My dog dances when she sees her dog food and treat bags.

Will not do returns and I can never find an associate to help. Usually one in the front, but if you need a price you cant use the scanner either. PetSmart is better!!
