I love this store. I consider myself (and my dogs) regular customers, probably in and out about every two to three weeks or so for food, kitty litter, and the amazing bathing service that has been the light of my stinky dog life. I saw a post from 6 months ago about staff. Yes, the lady with the blue hair that guy mentioned in his post is a bit stiff. But she does say hi every time and smile! Sometimes she even forces out a chuckle at my bad jokes. The manager of this store is super nice and helpful. If I come in without my dogs, he asks how they are. Hes always cheerful and laughing. And some of the later afternoon shift ladies have been fantastic, even when Ive come in with a dog that just sprung out of rolling in a less-than-fresh carcass and I want to stick them in their tub. So to recap, my favorite pet store. And thank you so so much for the bathing arena. My bathroom thanks you too.

Not very friendly staff. As soon as I walked in a women standing behind the register with blue hair just stared at me blankly and then looked back down instead of greeting me or at least saying "hi". I walked around the store for a while clearly looking for something and I wasnt asked once if I needed any help. Its a shame because I was really excited when I saw Pet Valu was coming to Colchester. Even though the store itself looks nice, the staff dont seem thrilled to be there or to have your business.

The staff are very much pet people and have always been helpful with answering questions. I recently went in to find a harness upgrade for my pup. He sounded like a goose when I walked him. Not only were they able to recommend a harness that stopped applying pressure to his neck, but it also helped with his pulling. Now my dog sounds like a dog and walks like a gentleman!
