I went to New England Cycle Center a few weeks ago after deciding to purchase a Yamaha motor scooter. I was greeted by a sales person who was an absolute gentleman named Brandon Priola. I was disappointed to discover that they did not have the model and color that I wanted. It was soon apparent to me that Brandon was not only very knowledgeable and genuine but, very patient and helpful as well. He started searching inventories on the computer to see if he could locate one for me. If he could find one and arrange a swap (possibly using personal connections in the industry) he may be able to get one in a week or so. If not, he may be able to get one from Yamaha but, that could be a month or more if even at all. He assured me that he would do his best and call me later that day to let me know if what he was able to find out. I left the dealership feeling that I may have waited too late into the season to purchase the scooter and was a bit disappointed. True to his word, Brandon called me that same evening telling me to come in the first thing in the morning to pick up my new scooter that the mechanic had been working on for the last three hours. I was certain that he was joking. It took a little while to convince me that he wasnt. I couldnt believe what I was hearing. The next morning I arrived at the dealership and sure enough, there was my scooter. Not only did they find me one, but arranged for their driver to pick it up and their mechanic to put it together for me. I was astounded by the incredible effort on everyones part to make this happen. I went to speak to the manager, Gary Moir who also is a wonderful gentleman to thank him for what he helped to facilitate. I was so moved and impressed by what they did for me. I was not some customer spending a lot of money on a high end bike yet they treated me like a V.I.P. Brandon then spent time with me to assist me in choosing some accessories and even loaded the scooter onto my truck. Needless to say, when Im ready to purchase a motorcycle in the future, I will be going to New England Cycle Center and dealing with Brandon and Gary. They could rewrite the manual on customer service. OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!! Wish I could rate them 10 stars.

In the past, Ive bought parts from them. I called with part numbers, asked if they had it in stock, and went to pick it up. No problems there. I also called once and spoke to Megan on a motorcycle I was interested in. She was very helpful and friendly - no problems there, either. My real qualm is with one of the salesmen. For the past two years, Ive had my eye on a 2005 Suzuki Bandit 1200 theyve had in stock. Well, the stars aligned, and I finally had the money to purchase the bike. I went down to look at it, only to be informed by the salesman (I cant remember his name - Jeff or Joe, maybe?) that it had been moved to their Columbia location. Not wanting to drive an hour and 15 minutes just to test ride a bike, I asked if there was any way they could get it back to Hartford. He said he wasnt sure if itd been moved because someone down there wanted to look at it, but he would check and get back to me the next morning. Next morning came - no call. I called the Columbia location myself and talked to the manager, who informed me it had just been moved to "refresh inventory." I called NECC back and spoke with the same gentleman before and explained to him what the Columbia location had told me, and asked if they could get it back to Hartford so I could test ride the bike. He said he would talk to his manager, but he doesnt see why that couldnt be done, and hed call me back the next morning. Its been 4 days now, and Ive still heard nothing. Not a peep. I have decided not to call back and follow up, and will most likely take my business elsewhere. Last time I checked, the salesman were paid to do the footwork for you - theyre supposed to make your buying experience as hassle-free as possible. Youd think theyd jump at the prospect of someone buying something theyve had for sale for almost 2 years now, but apparently they dont want my business. Unless I absolutely have to, I will try not to give this dealership my business.

Went in to buy my first helmet. First guy to greet us at the door offered to assist me but went off to help another customer after asking if I knew the circumference of my head and pointing us in the direction of some helmets. Then there was no one helping me to size a helmet correctly. About 10 minutes later a guy sees my trying on different helmets and asks if I need help and so he came to assist me. First helmet was a large but that wasnt the right size, went down to a medium and the only thing he checked to see if it fit correctly was the side to side motion of the helmet. With his guidance I took home a medium sized helmet. So then I went online to see how to properly fit a helmet and it is much more than just looking side to side to see if it fits. Im convinced they sold me an ill fitting helmet which would be dangerous if I had gone on a bike with it on. I will be going back with this helmet to exchange it with a smaller helmet that fits correctly.

Went in looking for a new jacket and some accessories. Salesmen immediately descended like sharks and became obviously upset when I didnt want to look at new bikes. I was in store with my 4 year old daughter. The whole time we were in there the salesmen were talking loud complaining about not having enough manpower to get s*** done, and how things are f@@@ crazy, so and so is an XYZ etc. Had to talk to my kid about how that wasnt good language. When the salesman got over his disappointment and came over to make a show of helping with jackets he didnt seem to know much. They were more interested in bad talking and complaining about customers. We left empty handed due to the attitude and language. I didnt feel like buying a jacket from them. I cant imagine ever making a large purchase like a bike or quad at this store.

I just purchased a 2016 Yamaha Grizzly from New England Cycle Center. We worked the details out with Gary and found him to be extremely honest and fair. He had excellent knowledge of his products and we were able to reach an agreement pretty quickly. When the ATV arrived there was a little bit of confusion about what we had agreed upon, but after checking the receipt Gary came through with exactly what we had been promised (we upgraded a standard item). Another salesman, Jim, threw in some freebies just to make sure that we were satisfied. Nothing but good things to say about these guys; they totally came through on a great deal with a great machine. I live near Danbury and I will make the drive to Hartford for my next purchase; Highly recommend them!, good solid people.
