Bought a new HD in 2007 from them. Have had plenty of experience with the service department. Had a warranty issue with a porous cast cylinder head that I easily diagnosed but they insisted "no". So two visits for tip end kits (freaking gaskets) and it leaked through the head casting each time before I got a mile down the road. Finally discussing it with the service foreman at the time Don, (decent guy)he agreed with me and it was taken care of. Did I mention the bike was originally assembled with the front wheel / tire mounted backwards? How about the time I had a service appointment and when I picked it up and ride to get coffee I found 3 of the chrome derby screws missing (fell out enroute) and the others backed off. That synthetic I run in the primary would have put me in the hospital if it hit my rear wheel. Oh, the incorrect routing of my clutch cable. There is more but Im done. Having to explain to my wife why I prefer going to Waterbury or East Hartford for something I decided not to tackle at home when Yankee is in walking distance just brings up all the frustration Ive had there. I currently own two Harleys that were purchased new from them and its a shame I cant trust them. 40 years on bikes, I know how things should be done. If you ever consider a used bike from them be aware used inventory sits outside in ALL weather. The rust gremlins will get at it. They have a space issue and the city wont let them expand outward, only up like another story to the building. Thats why those used ones sit in snow, ice rain and harsh UV. For me, Ill only buy parts and oil filters when necessary there.

Went in to purchase a wallet for my sons birthday. They had a limited selection, sales girl opened up the locked case to show me the few she had - seeing as they only had two with attached chains, which is what I was looking for, I decided to purchase the display wallet. It was placed in a slot that was priced at $35 - I asked as sales girl was taking out the wallet, $35 right?" and she said yes. I went to the counter to purchase it along with a couple of smaller items and the total was much higher than I expected. When I inquired I was told the wallet was $50. I explained how it was in a $35 slot in the locked up case and the sales girl also agreed it was that price. After a few minutes of back and forth and being asked do you still want the wallet or not?" the manager of that dept offered to take $5 off. After I purchased the wallet and left the store I realized the clip was broken and promptly returned it. When I was given my money back, they gave me 10s and 5s and 1s, probably hoping I wouldnt count it...well I did and found it to be short $5! When I brought it to their attention right there at the counter, they didnt act surprised or sorry, more like a damn, we got caught reaction. Very poor business ethics. Not a store I will do business with in the future or recommend.

I went there this weekend to look at a few bikes. I found the staff very friendly and knowledgable. Not only is the variety incredible but they also have a massive selection of used motorcycles. If your serious about a Harley, I doubt youll be dissapointed in the selection. Parking can be a bit touph and if you go inside be prepared to be asked how you can be helped. If you dont like salesmen approaching you then go somewhere else. First and foremost, this is a dealership and they are in the buisiness of selling bikes so thats to be expected. Best approach...have a gameplan and know what you want before you go their. Itll save you time and let them know what your intentions are. Would I go back...definetly. They have an awesome shop and if you can stomach the prices youll get top notch service features like storage, repairs and such. Theyll even let you in the repair shop when your bike is worked on so you can see whats going on. The mechanics and staff seem to REALLY like what they are doing. So, if you know what you want and can afford the price then this is a great place to make a purchase.

I got ripped off and lied to at Yankee. I bought a used bike, and also bought the extended warranty only to find out 3 weeks later that the aftermarket parts on my bike are not covered. SO if there are aftermarket parts in the engine or tranny, its not covered. I wasnt told that at the time of purchase. I could have made a different decision and bought a new bike which would have been covered, but wasnt told the whole story at the time of purchase. An unknown percentage of my bike is covered by that warranty. I went to complain and no one cared. My salesman didnt even get up off his chair. He got my money. My concierge seemed to care a little but hes just one of those nice guys. I was told to deal with what I got, or get my money back for the warranty and have absolutely none. I tried to get into a new bike and they said sure, 10% down and the tax title registration from the old bike carries over to the new bike. I will be going to Gengras from now on and I wish I went there in the first place. Thanks guys for making my first Harley purchase a memorable one.

When I first walked into yankee to look at new bikes, I was greeted and not pushed to buy a brand new bike. I was asked what I was currently riding (which was a Honda shadow 1100) and what was I looking for as far as getting something different. The sales woman , I think it was patti, first brought me to their pre owned bikes first. She wanted to be thorough on what I was comfortable with as far as price and most importantly the type of bike. I did not buy that day but did test ride 3 different bikes. I returned 4 mos. Later and was greeted by William one of their sales people . Well after 4 hrs, and a Lot of patience from William I purchased a brand new ultra glide. I couldnt be happier with the help and service I received from him and everyone at yankee. I would recommend anyone looking for a new or used bike to stop and see Will and the rest of the stafff.

I was looking for a new road glide. I called and went to several dealers in ny/ct. Most would not even talk price over the phone. I spoke with Jake over the phone and made a great deal. I then went to Yankee HD to do the paperwork on 01/04/16. I was greeted by Jake and Jay. They were easy to deal with and answered all of my questions. Completed the paperwork without any problems. I then picked up the bike a week and a half later. I was greeted by John and Will. They had the bike ready as promised when i noticed a small blemish in the paint that most people probably wouldnt have noticed or cared about. Will spent almost 3 hours correcting the problem and bent over backwards to make me happy. I am a very picky customer and can be hard to deal with sometimes and the staff at Yankee hd made me feel like I was a VIP. I would highly recommend them.
