Years ago, I used to frequent this store for all my bike maintanence. They were excellent! Of late, last two times, service was wrong. Good thing I rode my bike in the parking lot before loading it. The second time, a different bike, it wasnt fixed right. They swore it was even after they rode it in the parking lot. They finally agreed with me that it was not right. They were trying to adjust the 3-speed mechanism on my road bike. Its kinda like convincing yourself that if you look at the sky long enough you can convince yourself its not really blue. Now, get this, they changed the seat adjustment clamp from a quick cam-tightener to an allen wrench type w/o my consent. They said that it was better. I dont care if its better. I like being able to adjust the seat for anyone riding it besides me and the quick cam-tightener is very convenient. The original tightener had worn out and they did not have a new one but they had the allen wrench type and got lazy to go get a cam type. Thats kinda like the oil change service guys that put on an oil filter not meant for your car. But, because it works and wont hurt a thing and theyre too lazy to go accross the street to the parts warehouse to get the right one, they just go with it. Twice the last two times theyve called me and assured me my bikes were ready. The last time I asked them "are you absolutely sure its ready because I drive an hour to get to this store"? They replied "yes, its ready". Wrong! Wont go to this store for bike service again. For me, last two times in a row, service here has gone to krap at this location now.

Went in yesterday to get a new tube in my fiancees bike, and Patrick showed us how to replace the tube while he did it. Other places had refused to show her how to do it, saying that there are classes for that. But that was just the beginning. Once the tube change was done, Josh began cleaning her bike on his own initiative. He cleaned the entire bike, and greased the chain just because it needed it. No extra charge. I had been thinking about buying a bike for a while, so I started browsing. The service we received for a simple tube change made me want to buy my bike from them. Josh came out to help, and help he did. He answered all of my questions knowledgeably and without being overly pushy towards anything. It came down to a couple bikes, and he helped push me towards what he felt was the best bike for the money. While I spent a little more than I had intended, Josh made me feel quite confident that I did so wisely, and would appreciate the improvements. The bike came with a free helmet, 0% financing for 12 months, lifetime adjustments, and overall I feel extremely pleased with the entire experience. Everyone there was friendly and helpful without it feeling like they just wanted to make the sale. I highly recommend them!

FANTASTIC PLACE TO BUY A BIKE. This is the only Google Review Ive ever written, and I am writing it only because this Sun and Ski store made my purchase of a first road bike sooo great. Not only did they have my size bike (49cm, Im a short guy... these are hard to find) at an awesome discounted price ($699)... but their service went way beyond what I was expecting. On only my second visit, one of the employees greeted me by name and introduced me to another employee who spent 30 minutes fitting my chosen bike for me, while giving me a really great intro to road biking. Ive been to other bike shops, and I have never received such a warm and non-condescending welcome from the employees as I did here. I walked out feeling like the employees were there for me. (I also like the fact that minor tune-ups are free for the lifetime of the bike). I will definitely be coming back here (even if its a little out of my way) to buy my bike equipment. Look for Dennis and JP if you can.

Went in a couple of weeks ago for their major bike sale and the sales rep that helped me was very helpful and knowledgeable. He listen to my needs as a customer and helped me pick the perfect bike for my first bike as an adult. He even sold me a cheaper bike than the one I originally wanted. Most sales people working on commission will try and get you into the higher price items rather something suited for you and your budget. Good customer services is always about listening to your customer and he did this well. Because he did so well he was even able to talk me into some accessories I could have gotten cheaper else where. When you treat your customers right you almost talk them into anything. I highly recommend this location for bike purchase.

This place and all the workers there were wonderful. Today I went in and had one bike in mind but unfortunately they didnt have it in stock. But Tomas suggested another bike instead which admittedly was a couple hundred more than the other bike but it looked better and had the same if not slightly better components. And they have great deals here, really my bike was really priced at over $2000 but I got it for $1350. Got it financed and got it the same day. Its great to upgrade my abused bike.

I really enjoy shopping here and their prices and value are great. My wife and I visited here on Sunday to return an item and low and behold their bike sale was going on. We decided to shop around and see if we liked anything. Tyler helped us out with our selection of bikes and was very knowledgeable of the features we were interested in. He was patient with us and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be coming back here for our future bike purchases!

Amazing bike staff have helped me out every time Ive been in. They go above and beyond to make sure that everything is sorted and the customer care that I have experienced is second to none. I knew nothing about bikes and they took the time, without patronising to explain everything- unlike other local stores. I will never shop at another bike store because they have everything in there and the prices to me are worth it for the service they provide!

Im from New Orleans and this was the closest place I could go to get ski bindings installed. While at the store, I ended up buying all kinds of other gear. Their selection is great and service was awesome. Just got back from first ski trip - hats off to the guys that installed my bindings. Skis cut great and bindings did what they were supposed to do. Ill definitely stop by next time Im in Houston. --Cayce

**Another BAD Customer Service** Employees dont know the prices of the bikes!! I was willing to get a bike today, after I spend 1h the sales person told that the l Fuji bike cost $529, so I decide to take it. Then at the register the cashier told me its $599?!? What.....!)?! They didnt even take a time to explain the sales person just disappear. ****BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ***

My daughter needed ski gear for an upcoming ski trip to Keystone. We chose to go to Sun & Ski on Westheimer and we are so glad we did. Kiana (ROCKS!) helped us with everything she needed, from head to toe, and we didnt have to go to another store for even one item. AWESOME! It was such a pleasant experience. I highly recommend.
