My 1981 Shovelhead has only been to 2 other shops in its lifetime. Destroyed in a house fire, run off a cliff and run over outside a bar. So shes seen a lot of shop time and money in her days. Finally took her to Roger at T-Birds. OMG!!! WTF have I been thinking, "Only staying with the same mechanics for 20+ yrs?!!" I saw where certain people had whined because their bikes were stuck at a shop for a month. How about $6000.00 and 2 yrs later you once again have to call the old shop and say, "Whats up Guys?" I had an intermittent brake lite issue for 10+ yrs. I had it in the other shop at least 3 times for this same issue. Paid for it at least 3 times as well. My riding friends are always the ones to remind me "I dont have a brake light again." So this time I go in and Roger had it fixed in what seemed like 15 mins. And It cost almost nothing!!! (And he tells me the unbelievable...the brake lite wires are NOT even hooked up to the switch!) I will never ever take my bikes anywhere else but to T-Birds. I have had my shovel in there a couple of times. And same thing over and over. By the way HD owners who go anywhere near a shop within a month of Sturgis KNOW a couple of things....you never ask them to "call you ahead with a price and update" and they are doing their best to get EVERYONE READY and are busier than HELL then. As a LONGTIME HD Rider, and as a women, (undercover name used here) If you want the BEST you never ask how much....Thats kind of like asking a stripper...how much for a lap dance Dude! You get what you pay for!!! LOL....MMFIC/LROC (You dont need a Dick to Ride a Bike!)

absolutely terrible shop. dropped off my bike back in 2016, they called me 2 weeks ago IN 2017 saying my bike was ready.... when I picked it up, it wouldnt stay running, wouldnt shift into gears. just died on me in the middle of a rain storm. had to push it back to his shop only 18 blocks away. thats how far I got before it died on me. 18 blocks is alot to push a 1200 cc bike. then to make matter worse, just called then again and now theyre telling me I have a bad engine. how are you going to tell me that my bike is ready, and yet all they did was make it worse!?! DONT EVER TAKE YOUR BIKE THERE! stick with the real professionals and avoid being raped by some greedy pigs. $1000 for a clutch cable. F*** THUNDERBIRD MOTORCYCLES!!!

I only gave it one start because it wouldnt allow 0! The absolute worst customer service I have ever had in my life. Nothing but lies and excuses for having my bike for a month when they told me 3-5 days! Parts put on my bill without checking with me first because they dont have time to call people for extra work needed. I never received an update on the progress of the work...I had to call them only to be lied to again and again. Then when I confronted them about it all they would say is sorry...we dont have time to call you to update you or let you know whats going on. Avoid bringing your bike there at all costs.

Took my bike into Thunderbirds because it was burning a lot of oil and the primary seals were leaking. Was informed that my motor was ok and ready for the long road trip to Sturgis. Turns out the motor was shot and needed a full rebuild. Instead of just telling me that Thunderbirds found a few little things wrong with the bike (brake lines). They also replaced the front fork seals but they started leaking after the first week. Thunderbirds had my bike for a month it cost me $1400 and was broke down the next week. I will never recommend this shop to anyone I like. Good Luck to you if you do.

Horrible shop! Neither owner communicates with each other or the customer. They add parts to the bike without permission and they left the bike filthy. Had over $3000 worth of work done on my bike and it was given back to me dirty. WHO DOES THAT?? Once I paid, they just pointed at my bike back in storage and said "there you go". The shop originally told me they would have the bike only a handful of weeks and it ended up being 2 months. The only updates I received was if I called to ask what was going on. Never taking my bike there again!

They replaced some factory bolts on my bike (that were supposed to be hex-head) with poor-quality Allen bolts. The Allen bolts were made of soft metal, and had only a size 6 metric head opening, making them super easy to strip out. Im guessing thats what they had lying around the shop... and now, because of their dont care attitude, Im spending way to much time removing bolts that should have been easy. Very shabby and unprofessional. Never getting my business again. Another example of why its really better to do repair work yourself.

Been taking my bike to TB for last 6 years, Ive never had a complaint about the service hell at one point Marty even came to my house and picked it up. Always been more than satisfied with the service. But today, I was yelled at for bothering them because Ive called them 2 times in the past 2 days to check on the status. I was told that if I didnt like it I could come and pick it up.

If youre tired of paying dealer prices for mediocre service, give these guys a try. This is a small operation owned by two brothers. They do great work at a reasonable price. Give them a call for all types of maintenance on Harleys and V-Twin cycles. Limited selection of shirts, jackets and stuff and a few used bikes for sale. Mainly maintenance.

This is the place to take your scooter... better service, better prices, better people than your stealership! Marty & crew will shoot it to you straight and only do what needs done AND theyll do it right the first time. Thunderbird MC serviced my 03 Road King for five years and now service my 11 Ultra Classic Limited. Much thanks guys!
