Bought a nice X5 from these guys and even test drove it and everything was fine. So I decided to buy the car. Signed the paperwork and before I could get 2 blocks down the road the car dies. So I call them and tell them hey I just bought this car and Im stuck on the side of the road. They come a few minutes later and tell me that the last guy who test drove the car must of left the lights on. After a few tries to jump it nothing. So they tow the car to there other location to fix the problem and change my oil. Turns out it was the alternator, a couple days later they call me telling me its fixed. After I finally get my car back I go to Cartoys and get a car system installed. After a couple of days with the new system I notice the music cuts out alot. So I figure its a faulty stereo or wiring. They couldnt find a problem. Brought it back again and nothing. They even replaced the whole system to make sure. Brought back the car to cartoys about 6 times in total. Spent 4 weekends at least dropping off the car and picking it up. The final time they had a tech guy driving with me and he puts a volt meter to the alternator. Turns out it was another faulty anternator or Highline rigged the last alternator so it would only work for a little while. Or there mechanics dont know what there doing. So I went to Murrays BMW and got the car repaired right which cost me just under a $1000 to have replaced. Also Highline lied to me about how often I should get my oil changed. Found out its about every 10 - 15 k miles not 4k like there so called specialist told me. Also when I took the car to the DMV after my temp plates were expired I found out Highline charged me taxes that they shouldnt of. The DMV had to call them to get them to fix the paperwork and had them issue a refund to me before I could get new plates. So to make a long story short stay away from these guys.

My daughter purchased a 2002 GMC Envoy from these people, stayed a loyal customer for a couple years and only had a few months left before paying off the vehicle when they repossessed it. My daughter had several issues with this car lot, every time she wanted to talk to the manager he supposedly wasnt there and never called her back. A week after purchasing the vehicle it was falling apart, the differential burned out, transmission oil was leaking, among other issues that cost my daughter and additional $1,000. The finance department always told her she was behind on supposed payments when there were times that she had to make payment arrangements, and when my daughter asked for proof of records they were never shown to her. After the car was repossessed I called the car lot to find out how I could retrieve my daughters belongings since she had moved out of state. Soon after I called, I found out that they had reported the repo on MY credit report and not my daughters. When I told my daughter this, she called the car lot and was told that they do not report to any credit bureau and would have Sylvia from finance give me a call back, but she never did. I called Sylvia the next morning and was told the exact same thing, they dont report to the credit bureaus but then changed her story and said well, this type of thing happens all the time..really?! Which one is it, and what kind of scam are you people running? Sylvia said that she would talk to her boss and have him call me back ASAP and still havent heard from them...no surprise. Well this place hasnt heard the last from me I am filing suit for fraud and once they are aware of this maybe someone will call me back.

TO: remst, You should never pay a handling fee that fee is included with the car price, Illegitimate Charges Less scrupulous dealerships may also try to slide across costs that are not legitimate. You should vehemently refuse to pay. These prices include: Administrative Fees Handling Charges Advertising Fees Additional Dealer Mark-up Always refuse to pay these extra fees. Consider them absolute deal breakers. Advise the sales person clearly and directly that the deal is off if they dont sweep these charges off of the table. Walk away if necessary. So go somewhere else who cares if they are nice as long as you got a great deal and did not get taken advantage of like you did. Go elsewhere next time!! Oh and that 400 with time is interest is a lot more!! What makes it worse is that this is a used car dealer and usually they try that with new cars because they are on a huge vehicle coming across country. They really took you for a ride remst!

BAD ENGINE!!!! Bought a car from these slobs 2 months ago for 16k (top value) with a bad engine. If I could rate no star I would. Told them about the issue and they took my car to their shop, kept it for a month with no communication then told me I bought it as is. Refused to give me paperwork on them keeping my car. (Have it all recorded) told me they would give me what I paid for my car back then when the manager got back from his month vacation he offered me 9k because thats how much they can sell it at action for. Told me he would pay for labor cost of the repair if I paid for the engine (5k each) then backed out. Told me he would compromise with other vehicles on his lot then quoted me prices he has on the website for the cars. CROOOKKKKSSSS!!!!! Dont ever buy from them theyll sell you a lemon at top dollar. Im going to bbb with my information and videos. DONT GET CAUGHT IN A SITUATION LIKE I AM!!! 2007 S550

SCAMMERS! Alert take your money far away! Highline has stolen my money and will not return it. I have nothing to show for all the money i put down on a 4runner that turned out to be a rust bucket. I have to talk to their attorney to even try to get it back. They sell rusted cars and trucks. Both 4runners I had my mechanic look at were either rusted or they had their "mechanic" bypass in light indicators like the engine light for instance in the second 4runner they proposed to me. They are bullying me into a sale and holding my thousands of dollars ransom. BAD BUSINESS. LIARS. They will not tell you the truth about the cars. High pressured sales tactics. They will try to sucker you in with a phenomenal interest rate only to get declined by the bank. If you put a downpayment on that car, good luck getting it back. You will be out money and a car. They will use every scam in the book in my opinion.

This place literally has it all! I recently bought a Hyundai Elantra, and I still cant believe how amazing that entire process was. The gentleman named AK and his team helped me out in more ways than I ever imagined any car salesman could do. I got an amazing deal on my car and financing through Highline Automotive was so simple and received an amazing rate out of it as well. On top of everything, they all have amazing personalities and they genuinely care about their customers. If youre looking for great service and an opportunity to buy a great car AND will know somewhere you can confidently go to for any future cars…please give Highline Automotive a chance! :)
