Today I came in to look for furniture, I found a piece I liked collected my other purchases and preceded to check out, while checking out I overheard an employee mention she had a full kart of items to put back, and an electric drill was among those items, I heard her say something to the extent of "I may need to take this home with me for that price" I then asked her what price was, as I had been looking for a drill for a while, and she told me the price, and I said I would like to buy it. She proceed to stomp over to the register and throw the case down so hard on the counter she broke the latch of the case, and one of her fingernails, made an extremely rude explicit comment, then stormed away. I later found out that this woman, April, was the supervisor when I asked to speak to someone about the incident. I later found out she told the guy who was supposed to help me with two large furniture pieces I purchased, to "let her handle it herself" which I didnt know, so I stood outside waiting for someone to help me for 10 minutes before I came back in to find out no one was coming. I have never been treated so poorly by an establishment, especially one that is based on supporting and promoting a community and community sponsored organizations. I have even volunteered at ARC numerous times in support of the good they stand for... But after this experience I will be not step foot in another one of their stores. Inexcusable.

Edit: as you can see below I had given a 4 star review. After this last time, Ive dropped it down to 2. The night Manager named Christine is horrible at the title she was given. She is horrible at customer service, I had 2 minutes until close, was in a rush so accidentally pushed my cart in the dressing room instead of shuffling through to take more time and Christine, in a rude way told me I couldnt bring it in. I apologized and she then said I had only 2 minutes now, I said Im aware of that and it wont take me long. Shes kept making rude comments under her breath and I said why do you have to be so rude. She threw a fit and ran to the front to get say threw the intercom that she needed security to call dispatch. I went and paid for all my items and there were still customers behind me to pay. I did nothing illegal and was very nice and a loyal customer. She needs to get a demotion, she brings the whole store down. I love this ARC location. The store is very spacious and clean. They have a wide selection of purses, shoes, jackets, and of course clothes (more selection than most ARCs in the area). The reason I gave 4 stars is because I have had very little interaction with the associates, Ive only been greeted about 1/20 times, but this location still remains my favorite.

Since the new management Team has come in ..This store has gotten alot better, some of the employees that work in the back are very unprofessional, you can hear them talking in the back about their supervisors and about customers, This Arc has higher prices than the other Arcs, I can buy a pair of Levis at the Austin Bluff location for 3 to 6 dollars . At this location the very same Jeans are 7 to 16 Dollars. This is by far the Cleanest Arc in Colorado Springs, The Red Hair Supervisor is Amazing, she runs around that store doing everything from organizing to register to Customers. This Arc needs to trim the bad employees and it will be the best Arc in Colorado Springs, Big Potential for this location, I love what the Management Team has done so far.. but they could possibly run circles around the other locations if they would just trim the fat.

I shop regularly at ARC, so I was unpleasantly surprised at the way Ive been treated every time I go in this location. The staff has been rude, unfriendly, and has even laughed out loud at me. The last time I was in the store, I pointed out that the sheet I wanted to buy had lipstick smeared on it. The manager said that it was obvious that "some kid" had wiped their hands on it and I was lucky that lipstick comes out so easily. Lucky! I quit. Ill take my business to Goodwill, where everyone has always been pleasant to me.

Very unhappy with service at this Arc and we will never go back nor recommend to anyone. Purchased a patio table the other day at this Arc, paid for it, and asked them to put on hold and we would be back to get it. They said they would hold for 3 days. Went back the next morning and they had sold it to someone else. I understand mistakes, BUT, they didnt apologize or want to give us back our money, willing to do "store credit". Manager treated us as though the mistake was ours, not theirs! Bad customer service.

For a while this was my favorite Arc due to its selection. But in the last year-and-a-half the prices have skyrocketed. I work at a dollar store and constantly see our items resold and marked at five or six dollars. Those little knick-knacks people like to get, you are now practically paying for a vintage item. Not all Arc stores are like this. Avoid it on days other than Saturday when most things are half off. Otherwise its become unaffordable. I wish I could just buy a book.

What is up with these prices can we say GREEDY? These items are donated and they are often priced higher here then they were at the original store when brand new!! Then they have the nerve to ask if you will round up your total to donate and after the absurd amount they charge for their SECOND HAND items, it almost felt like an insult! Not to mention the staff is ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS RUDE! If I could give negative stars I would!!

I almost always find something awesome here, and the prices are great! Ive found a fully mechanical Minolta film camera and lens here, as well as a soda stream machine, a fully adjustable office chair, and many other things for great prices. Always worth a stop if you have 15 minutes and are in the area.

This store has great merchandise and friendly staff but the store is so DIRTY!! The floors havent been cleaned in months, swept or mopped!! The dressing rooms have stains all over the walls and dust and tags all over the floors. You leave this location feeling dirty.

Every time I go in here I always find what Im looking for. I mainly go in for Scrubs and childrens clothing. They are fairly priced. If I find 2 of the same items marked at 2 different prices they will give me the cheaper price. Staff is helpful too!

They do what they can .but the price is a little high. I would give them a five but cut the price in the higher up it would come back to the people. It does not require that much oversight to accept free goods

Quite surprised by the selection of mens clothing! I usually "strike out" at thrift stores, but I was happy to find several nice shirts for someone my age (not my grandfathers) that were decently priced. :-)
