....I Wish I had read these folks reviews before I made the mistake of dealing with them......They Charged Me $188... ....I Took my bike in to get several things done. Picked it up days later & it did not look like a new tube had been put in the front which was the main reason I took the bike in. I had been charged for a new tube & it had air in it.. I asked the repair tech if this was a new tube & he said "Yes". I Went to pay and asked clerk if a new tube had been put in &. He said "Yes" when I got it home it was flat & obviously with the old original tube. I called the store & told "John" what was going on. He put me on hold without asking me my name or any info. Six mins on hold & he hung up on me without getting back on the line. I called back & got "Jubel" he had nothing to say other than... "I guess it sucks to be you but we got your money soooo..."...I hung up. Twenty minutes later I got a call back from "Christine" who only wanted to interrupt & not let me finish a sentence.. .I went to my bank & contested the charges....now I will go to an honest & competent shop NOT BICYCLE VILLAGE ....Run dont walk from these folks.....It will take my bank 30 days to get my money back but it is worth the time & work to NOT BE CHEATED....by these folks..... ...UPDATE... Took my front tire in to a different bike store...a reputable bike store & they took care of me...I found Bicycle Village had worked on the the front brake & it had not been set correctly by the Bicycle Village Idiots. It took me aprox 30 min of work to straighten out their screw up..so not only are the Bicycle Village Idiots incompetent but they are totally Unsafe ....Run..Run...Run Away from these folks!!!!!! ...Update 2... My Bank looked into this & issued me a Full Refund....So at least this time Bicycle Villages thieving or total incompetence didnt pay off for them...& no one from this sorry business has ever taken the time to call me... Steer Clear...Steer Clear...Steer Clear...of this place....

I went in to Bicycle Village looking to purchase a new road bike. Despite going on a Thursday evening, I stood around for at least 10 minutes before I had to approach a sales person to receive help. I test rode several bikes and decided to purchase one. A positive was that the sales person was not pushy or aggressive. He was not completely knowledgeable about the bikes but was at east helpful. In addition to the bike, I purchased several shoes, pedals and a computer. In addition to checking over the bike, they were to install the computer and pedals. When I returned to pick up my bike, they had misplaced all the packaging and manuals that came with the pedals and computer (including the cleats). In addition, the installation of the computer was sloppy to say that least - the time was not set and they had not trimmed and sanded down the plastic connectors. They had agreed to install the cleats on my shoes and they simply took the shoes and cleats and screwed them on. They did not look at my feet, my stance or me on a bike to decide the optimal cleat position for my keo cleats. I finally left the store and it was time to take my new bike out for a ride. On my first ride, every time I hit a bump the seat would change tilt. It became obvious that they had not checked to ensure the seat was tightened down. On the second ride, the handlebar tape came loose. I took the bike back to the store so that the tape could be redone and also to have them check over the bike again. I seriously doubt that the bike was fully checked by a technician before I picked it up. Even after all of these issues, there was not so much as an apology. I would recommend against going to Bicycle Village to purchase a bike.

Save yourself plenty of money and time. These guys are arrogant rippers !! I went for a fitting adjustment of my a bike I bought at Target this morning and a rude service guy at the counter gave me an estimate of 200 $ and a week, explaining that for liability reasons they need re assemble the whole bike, since it was not purchased from them. The purchase price of my bike itself was180$ , [just to drive my 3 year old son in the evenings in the trail] and they wanted me to spend 200 $ for a tune up !! Huh !! While the price put me off a bit, what really drove me out was the rudeness. I ll never go there again, I went to Denver Bicycle located at Colfax and got my job done for 30 $ and in twenty minutes. They were also courteous enough . Bicycle Village want people to buy their over priced bikes. I did have an intention of buying a bike for my son later this summer if he really likes it very much. While I am no expert and still do not know who has the best bikes at a good price and provide great service, I now know very well that Bicycle village in Aurora, CO is an arrogant, over priced business - Find some other place for buying your bike and save yourself big money and time !! And for sure, you will be treated more courteously anywhere else.

I have been in the marked for a new road bike for some time and with Trek switching to 11 it has been hard to find the 2.3 in stock. I was just passing through Aurora on a cross country trip and stopped in at this shop. There prices were amazing. Went in on Labor day and they took 10% off the already below MSRP for an 11 Madone. So, that part was great. I got an awesome bike for a good price. But, they said they were required to give the bike a tune up which I had to wait about 20 minutes for. I left and came back for them to fit me to the bike and by that time the shifting began skipping gears. The mechanic blamed it on cable stretching and when I left the shifting was still not right. I guess I will just fix it myself. My friend also bought a bike from them and his headset was not adjusted properly and on the first ride we had to stop and fix it because it was making a plastic on plastic grinding noise. I also noticed they did not install reflectors on my bike. I just hope they didnt mess up anything I cant fix in the road. Also trash talked our small local bike shop back in Virginia for no apparent reason. That said, I have never seen such good prices and would probably go back to buy another bike but would not bring my bike here for work.

I saw all the negative reviews on here, so i was a bit cautious going in here. I can only speak to my experience obviously, and it was a very good one overall. Initially nobody really rushed right up on me as i was browsing (a lot of complaints about this in the reviews), which was fine by me. When I asked one of the guys (Tyler) to help show me a couple bikes, and he was extremely helpful and knowledgable. Ive been out of biking for 15 years, and he answered all my noob questions regarding full suspension vs. hard tail mtn bikes. Tyler was very patient, never tried to up-sell me, and i never felt rushed. We consulted on the types of riding I was planning on doing and agreed on a Trek Fuel series. Ended up having to order a larger size (21.5 frame as Im 62), which they did free, no obligation. It arrived 2 days later and i ended up loving it. Took off one star bc its hard to get a really good test ride in their relatively tight store and for the prices on some of the accessories. So do your homework before you come in, the prices are very competitive, but some parts and accessories can be found cheaper online if you dont mind waiting a few days. I had a very positive experience, and would recommend Bicycle Village to a friend.
