After contacting customer service a total of three times, far past the stated processing time, I was told that I would not be receiving my product. For a company that states, "We strive to be the best supplier of boating-related products and services that provide outstanding value to every Customer." From my personal experience with West Marine, it couldnt be further from the truth. I placed my order three weeks before leaving on a week-long Canadian wilderness trip. I received an email after placing an order on the West Marines webpage telling me my order would be processed within 3 to 5 business days. After waiting 7 business days and not receiving anything from West Marine I called customer service. I was told that my product had run into some complications but, would be shipped out of Florida within one to two business days. I waited two business days without hearing back. I contacted West Marine again via online live support. Live support told me that my order, "has taken a little longer than expected. There is a chance that this product is unavailable". Hearing that after waiting all this time my order might be unavailable I called customer service again. This time I was told that it was in fact my product was unavailable, despite still being listed online, and I would not be receiving my order. I was offered nothing for the incredible inconvenience other than a sorry. This business clearly does not care about its customers. With overall sales to West Marine going down each year, and its only growth specifically coming from sales from eCommerce increasing by 9.5% mainly due to its increase of sales in merchandise, a normal person would think that West Marine would care about these customers coming back. This company clearly has issues.

"I worked here as a 6-week contract employee in the Service Desk department for Watsonville Corporate. I am pursuing harassment and neglect charges. This is by far the most degrading and miss-managed company I have ever worked for. I was hired as IT support and this position had nothing to do with IT. It was a retail support department for their 300+ stores. Little or no documentation, micro managing supervision, poor organizational communications and a stuffy useless department managers. I was given a written warning 2 weeks into the job for my lack of coherence to the rules and neglect of responsibilities. The learning curve was steep and with no training other than shadowing other support people for my first week. A week after my written grammar school like report I was fired. As I understand from the departmental staff they are frustrated and disgruntled by the revolving door of employees that come and go. I am a professional with over 20 years in my field and a successful record of accomplishments. I will be spreading this incident across the web wherever I get the chance. I would like to mention by name, Hector and Ted Murray. The two incompetents that should be serving burgers instead of faking their positions and acting in-human to their team. Disgusting
