I came to Cauldron Ice Cream on one of their soft opening nights. Cauldron Ice Cream specializes in liquid nitrogen ice cream, similar to a few other stores; however, what differentiates Cauldron Ice Cream from those other stores is that Cauldron takes after a Harry Potter/magical theme! Which is amazing! I mean, watching them make ice cream seriously reminds me of Hermione making a potion in Snapes class. Anyway, I came here to try their Wizards float, which resembles Butterbeer from Harry Potter. Unfortunately they did not have those on sale during the soft opening - just a limited menu to figure out the kinks and whatnot of the business. A few pros and cons that I got out of my experience at Cauldron: Pros: 1) The interior/ambience of the shop is really cute. They have high ceilings with pipes that really remind me of the Chambers of Secrets if it was brighter and more ... happy. Or maybe it reminded me of Platform 9 3/4 ... Everything is very modern, yet chic with several tables inside the storefront. I also love the wall decorations - the classic clocks really take me back to the whole Harry Potter theme as well! 2) The basic experience of watching your order being made in front of your eyes is worth a visit! They have four ice cream makers, and I really liked seeing the creation being made in front of my eyes! Because the flavors are more unique, they also add different toppings to customize the basic ice cream. 3) The flavors are really unique. I tried the Salted Caramel Crunch, which had pretzel pieces and sea salt inside as well as caramel drizzle on top. They also have other flavors like Smores, Milk & Cereal, Red Velvet, etc. Not sure if these flavors will stay during their grand opening stage or if they will be tweaked/phased out, but I thought the salted caramel was good. 4) Location is really good. Its close to a lot of restaurants, and right next to Ritters Steam Kettle Cooking. Lots of parking spots. 5) The workers are really nice! Everybody is incredibly friendly and willing to give you recommendations/let you know about the menu and whatnot. The idea for the storefront has been in the making for several years, so Im glad they can finally bring it to life! Cons: 1) I thought the prices were a little high. A small was $4, medium $5, large $7. I ordered a small to split with my friend, and realized that a small was really tiny. And $4 is pretty hefty to pay for such a small amount of ice cream. I had originally thought the cup of a small was a sample sized cup! If medium is only a dollar more, it is definitely worth your money to upgrade to a medium where you get two scoops of the ice cream rather than one scoop for four. Personally I would pay $3 for that small, $5 for a medium. 2) The music was very loud so it was hard to hear what my friend was saying and we were sitting across from each other at the table. It was also really hard to hear the workers call out names of the orders because the music drowned out their voices. 3) The sea salt in the ice cream was actually a bit too overwhelming and made the vanilla really salty when I got just a few salt flecks. 4) Not being able to try the Wizards Float :( but that was just due to my own timing and not their fault :P tl;dr - A really great ice cream store that seems to be very promising! The experience, flavors, quality - all really great. I think with more things on their menu, Cauldron Ice Cream will do really well! They also have a self-serve water station which is nice. Will be back one day soon to try their Wizards Float!

tl;dr: -You MUST come here. So delicious -Rose H20 flavor shaped like rose *mic drop* -Puffle: HK style waffle -Be prepared to wait (in line and for your ice cream) PARKING: Shared plaza lot. FOOD: -Rose H20 water: This is the most instagram/snapchat worthy cone Ive ever had in my life. Definitely order it in the puffle - a HK style waffle that gives you little nuggets of cake. The rose flavor is a true rose taste that leans on the perfume-y side, but its the texture of the ice cream itself that takes the cake. Because they prepare each order fresh with nitrogen, the ice particles are SO small that they create this ridiculously creamy texture. Im a huge fan of hard frozen ice cream, so I could not get enough of this! -Sea Salt Caramel: DIdnt have much saltiness to the flavor, but the ice cream had a nice light caramel flavor. The pieces of pretzels provided some textural interest. SERVICE: Everyone was really nice, but we also showed up as the first customers mid-day Saturday. I have a feeling this line would get ridiculously long bc 15 minutes after opening, they were at least 10 people in line.

it didnt take much for me to be team cauldron because i was already team eggette (cantonese hong kong style egg waffle) looong ago. ive tried the lavender, smores, and the cauldron thus far. after trying a variety of flavors i have to say i am going to stick with chocolate from here on out. i love the chocolate because its not overwhelming and it actually tasted like chocolate pudding! i also love the toasted marshmallow that comes with the smores. i think the puffle can be puffier, because sometimes the puffle is really dense and some arent even as puffy as they should be... but regardless, cauldrons ice cream are all not overwhelmingly sweet, definitely satisfies my sweet tooth! 3 stars because i am disappointed that they dont sell the puffle cone itself :( i would totally come JUST for the puffle cone... good thing my bf and i can divide and conquer, he likes ice cream while i like the puffle cone! once they sell the puffle cone alone ill adjust rating to 5 :)

The first place to combine ice cream with Hong Kong-style egg puffs with many varieties of this delicious combination! The ice cream is freshly made in liquid nitrogen mixing machines and the egg puff/waffle cones are just as freshly made and piping warm. I tried the lavender earl grey puffle with honey drizzle. The presentation was very nice- like a precious child wrapped in a blanket- and the paper "cone" very easy to instagram/snapchat- share on social media. I decided to dive right in since the puff was warm and I figured it would melt quickly. It had great flavor, both the tea and flower balancing and not too overpowering, and honey for a nice addition of sweetness. The puff was the perfect texture, nice and crispy on the outside and soft and somewhat chewy inside. They also have seasonal combos and lots of other interesting flavors! It is a little chaotic inside with the number system and random yelling and crowd but hopefully itll get more organized.

Came to Cauldron with a friend. Place was pretty empty so service was pretty fast. Plus it was a hot day, too. I got the cookie butter with the puffle (or egg waffle) and it was good! Tastes just like the Trader Joes cookie butter and the consistency was quite creamy, too. The puffle was soft and chewy, too. My friend got the rose ice cream with puffle and the servers made the ice cream into a rose shape so that was really cool! The size of the dessert was pretty worth for the price (it was around $6). Plus theres quite a bit of seating inside, so thats super nice. Only downside is that it is a little difficult/messy to eat especially when you get closer to finishing the dessert.
