I have eaten at Churned several times. The first time I loved it and was impressed by their flavor offering. The ice cream was a little too soft for my liking but the flavors made up for it, as did the fun staff. The second time I ate there the staff was still fun but I found out that they dont have lids for their cups. I had planned on purchasing another cup of ice cream once I had finished the one in hand so that I can share it with my coworker. Sadly, no lids, so I had to eat it myself. Disappointing yet delightful at the same time. This last time I ate there, after talking it up to everyone, the flavors I wanted to share with my husband and friends were gone, the girl behind the counter was not friendly and seemed annoyed that I was interrupting the conversation she was having with her friend. When I asked her some questions, she scoffed and truly did not seem to care to know the answers. They still dont have lids and the friend was hovering and making faces with the rep behind the counter, which made me feel as if I was intruding, so I ordered as quickly as I could and left. I strongly believe that good customer service brings people back to a place, even if the food is mediocre. I would have been okay with the lack of lids and the overly soft ice cream had this place been more receptive. This recent visit had machines with no ice cream, flavors that were gone, a staff that was not very welcoming. If I am going to spend my money on something indulgent, I would rather go to Yogurtland or Afters, or Creamistry.

CroCream ($5) with a single scoop of Black Cookie ice cream ($4) topped with honey roasted peanuts and caramel sauce ($.75 for up to 3 toppings and sauces): Black Cookie ice cream is rich and creamy with a rich Oreo-like chocolate flavor. The honey roasted peanuts add a crunchy texture along with a sweet/salty balance. The croissant adds a nice buttery flavor to the mix and the caramel sauce really ties everything together. Rating: 5/5 Flakey French Custard Triangle ($3) with a scoop of Black Cherry ice cream ($4) topped with Fruity Pebbles and raspberry sauce ($.75): The Black Cherry ice cream has a strong cherry flavor. Fruity Pebbles incorporate an artificial fruity flavor, crunchy texture, and eye-popping yellow, red, green, and blue colors. Raspberry sauce adds a little bit of sweet and tart flavor notes. The custard triangle tastes like the puff pastry used in a turnover with a crispy outer shell. Rating: 4/5 Tahitian Cone ($1) with a scoop of Mango sorbet ($4): The Mango sorbet tastes like you’re biting into a fresh mango with bright tropical flavor. The Tahitian vanilla cone has a wonderful flavor as well – rich and almost cocoa-like. Rating: 4/5

There is many lots for parking so that will probably never be an issue. You can see all the ice cream being churned right in front of you. All the ice cream is labeled and when you order, you can taste try as many of the ice cream flavors as you would like. They have really cute flavors like bubble gum and cotton candy but my all time go to flavor is mint chocolate chip. Their mint chocolate chip ice cream was incredibly refreshing! The mint flavor made my mouth feel like an ice bomb and had pieces of chocolate which melted nicely in my mouth. :) I had the ice cream in their signature CROCREAM which is their sweet flaky croissant cut in half with a scoop of ice cream in there. I added fruity pebbles and white chocolate drizzle and they topped it off with a sprinkle of confectioners sugar. The line moves fast and the ice cream was good. There are also a lot of other places to walk to and see in this plaza (it sort of reminds me of Anaheim packing district except it is was less packed) perfect spot for a date or an outing with your friends.

Stopped by Churned creamery after lunch.. can never go wrong with this place! A lot of different and unique flavored. This time we got mint chocolate chip and mango. I have tried many other ones and theyre all pretty good. Theres usually always a line but it goes by fast, so dont be discouraged.

Churned is located in this cool urban marketplace within the District shopping center. The ice cream has almost a light fluffy whipped consistency to it. Ive only tried the sorbets and they are absolutely delicious. I always get either the strawberry or mango.

I love ice cream places but this one is so so for some reason. Maybe Im not picking out the right flavors. After a while the bananas foster one got boring. I agree texture too soft for me too.

Whiskey Ice Cream! Need I say more? I tried the whiskey ice cream with chocolate sauce and it was so good and creamy. Would definitely come back!
