I never write reviews. However, Greg and his staff have been so good to me that it would be morally and ethically wrong of me not to do so in this case. In fact, I even created a Google + account just to be able to write this. I will be very honest. Greg, the owner, and Marcus, the sales manager, have been more than wonderful during my recent purchase of one of their vehicles. To set the stage, I am currently in Afghanistan and am the type of person who is so meticulous about everything that it can get to the point where it becomes very annoying (I am aware of this). With that said, the gentlemen here have dealt with me in ways beyond my own ways of explaining patience and accommodation. From day one, they provided with me very specific videos on the vehicle upon my request, pictures, explanations, service records, and even went the extra mile to include, at no charge, another vehicle maintenance service before the car was even scheduled for one (not cheap given that it was an exotic car). Greg and his staff were even kind enough to have granted my requests on returning, to stock, certain details of the car. These details werent just a simple wheel change. They involved much more intricate work, were annoying to hear of Im sure, and yet they did it and did it for me without a hitch. That was only half their battle with me. The rest was their every effort, and I stress "every effort", to work with my finances, work with taking care of my out of state taxes and registration, and to scheduling the out of state delivery of the vehicle to get me in the seat of that car. In the end, they kept every promise and worked with me for over a month showing an unimaginable amount of patience, accommodation to customer needs, professionalism, and the drive to create life long customers as they have with me; a business quality that is very hard to come by these days. If youre reading this, Greg and Marcus, thank you.

My wife and I had an excellent experience at Cash for Cars. After visiting the major dealerships in the area, and getting annoyed with the typical pushy salesmen, we decided to check out the independent dealerships. Our sales representative at Cash for Cars, Joe Vargas, was extremely nice and helpful. He was not at all pushy, and listened to our requests and offered us something that was right in our desired price range and met our driving needs. My wife and I were pretty open when it came to car models and manufacturers and our sales representative helped us identify a car that really met our needs and was fun to drive. From a financing standpoint Cash for Cars helped us get a good deal on a car loan even with not perfect credit. They were very open and transparent with every single price, tax, and individual charge, and they highlighted exactly what the APR would be and what the payments were even before I had to ask. They work with all of the major financial institutions, the same as any major dealership (my loan was through Chase Bank) so you dont have to worry about a shady deal. The car itself was in great condition and was exactly in person as it was advertised on their website. My wife was so impressed with the service and car that she wants to go back to Cash for Cars when we buy her a car.

THIS DEALERSHIP NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!! They lie and take advantage of people. They gave me the runaround! First they wanted $1000 down then I get there and its $500 more they tried to make me feel like I had no other choice because of my credit so they gave me 2 weeks to come up with the rest of the money. BUT then they asked for $1000 more. I took the deal because I needed a car for work and school. Worst mistake of my life. I drove the car back the next day because for whatever reason my payments went from $500 to $800. The car had a bad tired, shaking motor, and one of the windows did not go down. Also the car needed an oil change. WAKE UP PEOPLE THIS PLACE IS A NO GO!!!! I got my down payment back but now I cant cash the check they gave me anywhere. I live in Petaluma and now they want me to drive down to San Jose again when they made the mistake on my check. Also while I was there, their was 2 people complaining about their Car having problems. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I am a returning customer. The first time around, they helped a friend of mine get a car. The next time it was my turn. Cash for Cars treated us with utmost respect and took their time helping us. My credit was not that great, but they worked with me and got me into a nice Hyundai Accent. At the time they were able to get me in-house financing. I only have a few more months to go, then Ill own my first car. They have been great to me every time I needed help and they are always very professional about it. I highly recommend this dealer. They even hooked me up with a garage close by, where I get very affordable oil changes. Needless to say I am very satisfied. -C.M.

Went to sell my car here. They gave me a decent, no hassle, but very low-ball offer. They didnt care to check a lot of the vehicle details which I think significantly add to the value. They werent willing to negotiate at all. Overall, it was a pleasant experience since they didnt waste my time and were quite direct in how much they would pay for the car. So I am so so with this place. If you need quick cash they are there and very willing to make a buck off of you but that is the nature of this business :) I didnt need cash and was merely there for the convenience. I might go back and sell the car maybe in the future.

One search on where I could sell my car...Cash for Cars came up in the regular results #1....One visit to their location on San Carlos and they gave me a very reasonable estimate in no time....One big smile on my face when I left with money in my pocket! Everyone should know how easy it is to sell your car without the hassle of craigslist or for sale signs....plus I was too late for cash for clunckers...little did I know that these guys have been doing this for years without a stimulus plan!! Check them out...for reals

Great guys here. I bought my first car from Cash for Cars 14 years ago. Good deal on the car. Greg Tomassian (The Boss) has done a terrific job developing a city wide brand. Greg confidently posts his name and picture on advertisements all over town inviting people to do business. Not many used car dealers can say they do the same. If Cash for Cars was doing anything other than good, ethical business it would be a risky move. Id buy another car from Them, OR sell them one! =)

Helped my friend buy a car, price went from 5,700 to 6, 400 because of fees and tax finally got it out the door for 6,200. Had a mechanical inspection done before purchase so at least we knew he wasnt buying a POS, but they took forever to process paperwork. --I bumped up their review 2 stars because i got a response from owner
