Avoid South Bay Honda- Extremely unprofessional and cheating dealer( Particularly dealing with their Sale team - Jennifer Jammal and Stefan Wong) I came to this dealer with my wife(8th Month Pregnant) to buy a 2015 Odyssey EX-L. That too after too many calls/email from Jennifer. Jennifer offered us a quote of $32000+TTL after negotiation for an hour.(She started with quote of $32880, by matching their one of the competitors price, and later she reduced $100 and finally agreed for $32000 if I buy from their current stock). They quoted me some price but not at all interested to sell vehicle. They keep on asking me whether I will purchase the car on same day and even you said yes for multiple times. Also how can I purchase a car without negotiating on APR rate or quoted price. After taking all my documents and filled application, Jennifer went inside and came after some time and offered me a 7.99% APR, which I don’t know how they arrived at that number, even though I have the best credo history and it is showing up their report. Then she started explaining all the competitors price, which is valid if i buy the vehicle with Honda financing, which was irrelevant to our discussion. After some time Jennifer offered a quote of $32288(matching the their competitor’s quote) and she is ready to get me 1.9% APR for the that price, which I don’t how she get that, as earlier she only told i will get for 7.9% APR. This shows she is cheating customer by giving the wrong details. After some time, she agin went inside and asked me to discuss with he so called sales director Stefan Wong. He is one of the very unprofessional guy which I have seen till now. He started saying whatever Jennifer offered was a just offer, but not agreed on that, i don’t what he want to to say there. Also he also no one in South Bay Honda will reduce even single Dollar or cent without his approval. He started asking so many irrelevant questions which are irrelevant to topic. Finally he gave quote of vehicle $32450(saying he is giving all the add ons) which was there earlier svn with Jennifer’s quote. He will try to give you reasons for each and every item included in the list. And after discussing for more than 3 hour told, he will not sell for initially agreed price. If that is the case, why the hell they should call us for purchasing car for agreed price. If they are not ready stick with agreed price. Avoid these guys. Also take your own time and read carefully as many times as possible before signing contract. I felt very uncomfortable with overall experience and I never recommend this dealer for new car purchase. Also I never recommend any one speaking with that so called their sales director Stefan Wong. Also this person does not have even any respect for Pregnant woman. Also they just want rip as much as possible from customer. It is better to come here with approved loan from other financial institution. This dealer will manipulate anything after when the price is reached and agreed. When you ready sign contract to buy, they will change interest rate and term quietly. Avoid these cheaters. Avoid these cheaters.

Worst experience ever! Very dishonest dealership! Spoke to a salesperson, Ming, on Friday. I asked about a specific vehicle and gave him the stock number. He confirmed it was available and after a few calls back, we settled on a price for this 2013 Honda Pilot. I told him that I would be traveling nearly 4 hours to buy this so I needed a firm price and he said it was. We also discussed my trade in and determined that I would get the most for it by taking it to CarMax instead of trading it in. On Sunday, I called and spoke to Ming to confirm that this vehicle was still available. He said it was. I again, confirmed the price and he agreed. I told him that we would have to stop in Fresno, sell the Jeep, and then wed be there in about 4 to 5 hours to buy the car. We did sell the Jeep and drove to the dealership to buy this 2013 Honda Pilot. When we arrived. Ming had a 2014 Honda Pilot parked out front and said this was a new 2014 because the 2013 we were talking about is being used by the owners wife so it wasnt available. When we sat down inside, Ming told me that since it was a 2014 instead of a 2013, it would be $500 more than what we discussed. I was LIVID! I had just driven 4 hours, sold my wifes Jeep and now he is changing what we discussed. I told him that if the 2013 is no longer available, then he would need to sell me the 2014 for the same price. He would not. He said he couldnt do that, but insulted me by trying to convince me that it was only a few hundred dollars difference. Needless to say, we walked out of there without a new vehicle. We invested an entire day to this and left empty handed. My wife and I were shaking with anger and frustration. While we were in the area, we looked around on the Internet and found another vehicle at another dealership. It wasnt exactly what we were looking for, but we went there and bought it anyway. The dealership we bought it from (Dublin Honda) was very professional and kept to their promised price that they quoted over the phone. They had us in and out within a half hour and we headed home with a new car. South Bay Honda did a total "bait and switch" knowing that we were traveling a good distance and they tried to screw us. They should be ashamed of themselves and Honda corporate is going to be hearing about this experience as well.

Wow, just got burnt here twice!!!! I recommend others to stay away. Bad customer service and bad diagnostic. We all know cars breakdown and we have to service wherever we can and usually other shops may or may not use genuine Honda parts but to get a lecture from Art from the manager of the service department about it. OK, we are bringing our vehicle here to be diagnose and not to be little. 1st incident, brought in a 99 Accord because of an ABS light. They diagnose it to be the ABS module which is a ~$1200 parts and labor. I proceeded to let them work on it and after a day, it was done. After driving off the lot for about a block, the ABS light comes on again. Really!!! I take it back in again later and they diagnose the problem to be the driver side axle that I had it replace at a repair shop in LA… price for parts without labor ~$650 and a week to order the part. I decided to take it away from the shop but Art had to note on the invoice that it was recommended that this car be towed as it is unfit to be on the road. Really, I drove it in like that and after you replaced my ABS module, I drove it off the lot and back. Really!!!! I guess this is to remove liability from them. I took it to a friend’s shop and all it turn out to be a ~$60 ABS sensor on the hub. The aftermarket axle still remains in the car at this present time. Told the service guy about and all he could do was apologize for the situation. And I forgot to mention that the dealership lost my battery during the repair but I was given a replacement battery. Pro and con, I got a newer battery but lost my warranty with the older battery which was only a few months old. 2nd Incident with 03 Pilot and check engine light. Once again I got the shaft and out $150 diagnostic fee. So the moral of this story, be warn of this place!!!! Bad customer service and diagnostic repairs!!!! Not sure about the little maintenance stuff but with any major problem; I’ll probably recommend another dealership.
