We looked for a good place on the internet to bring a battery that was not working. We brought in a common photography device labelled as an external battery that was having issues holding charge As a device labelled as a "battery", there was no thought that we would need anything but a battery store to get advice on how to get it working. We had an initially good encounter. The friendly employee did a bunch of volt meter and visual tests and said that he could easily repair it to be picked up the next day, and gave us a price. Great. When we arrived the next day, were shown that the device with new internal batteries showed charge when plugged in, but not when it was not plugged in (which is exactly what it did when we brought it in). Obviously were confused by it still not working, despite what we had been told the day before. A second employee walked us through a series of troubleshooting tests and we tried to figure out the issue. During this, she had a problem with her in-store volt meter and brought out a manager, who had no further useful information, but did find that they had a broken volt meter in the store and had to try another one. This is where the problems began. He confirmed the dead volt meter, and told us that they dont do device repairs, only batteries. No problem, so we explained calmly that we were told the battery was the issue, so were not looking for him to do repairs. So we logically asked about where we could get it repaired, so that we could call a repair place, buy the batteries they had installed, and find out costs. Not only did he rudely start talking about how he had no idea, but started an aggressive guilt trip about what were they going to do with these batteries they installed for us - even though he agreed and repeated that that were *specifically* told the day before that our issue *was* dead batteries and he began ranting about his own store employees, how these batteries were now useless and that he couldnt sell them any more. He also got angry when we mentioned that if we could find a repair resource, we would be happy to get the batteries. (I was calm the whole time, mostly confused by his rude and unhelpful behavior to what seemed to be a common problem.) Perhaps a list of referrals or at least being a bit more friendly about mistakes might have served him better. As it is, I thought I had found a great resource, but I wont bother going there again, but will buy batteries for my other electronic devices elsewhere. I dont go into stores to be lectured for an employee mistake.

Ive begun to think the retail world has grown so impersonal and devoid of customer focus, lately but not this place. Above and beyond expectations does not begin to describe my experience. While trying to find a reasonably priced battery for my 7-year-old BMW X5, Batteries + Bulbs came up in a couple of searches. I had not considered them before and was looking at traditional auto parts retailers but decided to give them a call. Not only did they have it for a great price but they would install it for $20! I also found a 10% discount online which made the deal even better. My wife drove the car down and they quickly swapped it out and recoded the computer as required with these cars but for some reason the car refused to cooperate. Many systems on the vehicle were inoperative or operating incorrectly. Their tools were not working on my car and it was clear that they could not fix it as it was now 6PM. Instead of walking away from the problem and leaving her stranded, they insisted on following her to our repair shop and then driving her home! I don’t know if this is how all Batteries + Bulbs stores operate but if this one employs people like this, they have a customer for life in me. Well done, guys. Well done.

Since the battery on my Motorcycle was dead and was in need of a new battery ASAP, I hesitated on purchasing an other OEM battery from the Harley Dealer because of the short life span of the battery and bad experience that I had, I wanted to check on line and find out a little more of what was available for my Harley. I learned a lot, specifically about Duracell Motorcycle Batteries, I’ve called the store and ask some questions in regard to their product that I was considering, the person that Ive spoken with was very knowledgeable and helpful and he answered all of my questions, he was also very polite. Once I got all of the facts, I’ve decided that my next battery was going to be a Duracell Battery. I purchased a Duracell Model: DURAGM-20L-US, Duracell Ultra 20HL AGM Gray, (the Gray is made in the USA), is going to be installed on my 2000 Harley Davidson FLSTC Heritage Softail Classic, the fit was perfect and it actually fit better then the OEM, it was fully charged and cranked the motor a lot faster then the OEM Battery ever did. I’m very happy with the purchase and very satisfied with the Batterys performance, I’m glad that I made the purchase and would not hesitate to purchase an other for my 2003 FLSTI.

My experience was not a good one. On a Friday, I ordered a battery for my cell through the website - I was told it was available. Unfortunately when I got to the store, I was told there wasnt one. The two guys holding down the fort told me they could refund me my money or rush order. I chose the later and I was told I would receive a message when it was ready for pickup. After waiting five days, I contacted the store and was told it was there. I told the guy to refund me since I got tired of waiting and ordered one through Amazon. This is disappointing since one the guys minding the store didnt attempt to contact another store to see if the battery was available and two no followup to let me know the battery was received. I used to go here first for special battery needs - Amazon will now be my first.

This place wont help you with repairs on slightly older phones. I had a Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and broke the camera lens cover. I called the store and they said they cant order the part. So I ordered the part off of Amazon for $7.00. I then brought the phone a and replacement part in and they said they dont have any adhesive for my phone to put it back together so they refused to help me. I asked them if I could purchase adhesive and have them do the labor they said they wouldnt. So I took my business down the street to Mobile Kangaroo and they are soooo much more helpful and accommodating had i not had the replacement part mobile kangaroo was prepared to order the part from Amazon themselves because they are truly good with customer service.

I was very happy with my experience at Batteries Plus. I purchased my car battery ahead of time online and I received an e-mail when my purchase was ready for pickup. When I arrived at the store, I was greeted immediately at the front counter and when I asked the sales associate if I could have the battery installed, I was assisted by another associate right away. I also purchased new batteries for my key fobs which the associate also replaced for me. I purchased a Duracell Gold car battery and the price was very reasonable for the value. I also received fuel cell credits for recycling my old batteries. I would highly recommend Batteries Plus!
