I had a very pleasant surprise as I was hunting for everything for a move to an apartment from a one room situation after my divorce of 39 years. I walked by the Van Ness location in San Francisco and could see in their showroom. I found the perfect couch/sofa with storage under the chaise ! Perfect for my 1new 1 bedroom with very limited storage. Plus I found a bed with storage under the entire bottom. They deliver and assemble too for a reasonable fee plus free delivery when you spend over $1500. Both items were on sale ! Their staff were attentive but did not hover or pressure me. Big plus for this old gal. I would rate them higher but I am waiting until after the delivery . Hopefully they will keep up their good first impressions.

Great show room, was able to find all the pieces that I had saw online. My only criticism is that the space is a little cramped. Thomas was really great at helping me find the right pieces and ordering was a breeze. When I visited in early April 2017, there was a flash sale so was able to snag some deals. I love that they offer free in-room delivery if you purchase over $1500 worth of products, its such a pain having to factor in the extra cost for delivery and shipping (recently had to pay extra $200) with other stores. Modani on Van Ness is an attractive, well-stocked showroom, featuring appealing, well-made, well-priced modern furniture. Their web site is good, but it works best for us to be able to see and feel things. As it turned out, the outdoor dining set we were looking at was close, but not quite what we needed. Mark Thompson let us know that there was another option that was spot on, and contacted his colleagues in another store to get detailed measurements so we could be sure before ordering. I recommend Modani, this showroom, and Mark if you are looking for indoor or outdoor modern furniture.

Modani is the best furniture store Ive ever visited. Its conveniently located on Van Ness. The showroom features plenty of modern, beautiful yet reasonably priced furniture. Our sales representative, Mark Thompson, is very patient, kind and gentle. He explained everything in details and followed up in email with a quote of the bed frame we were purchasing immediately after our visit. He is truly one of a kind professional. I would strongly recommend Modani and Mark if you are looking for new furnitures for your home!

We were on the hunt for a new sectional and stopped in at the new Modani store. They have a wonderful selection of modern furniture at surprisingly affordable prices.The sectional that we wanted was out of stock at the local SF store. However, we needed the sofa asap and Gaby helped us with ordering the sofa from their LA location. Overall, we have had a positive experience working with Modani and hopefully, the delivery process will also be as good as the customer service at the SF store.

Located in a great space on Van Ness with most of the stock listed on the website. We were able to visit after work since they are open until 8pm during the week. Within 20 minutes we had figured out which dining table, chairs and bed frame we wanted for our new home. Thomas was fantastic to work and the shipping is at no charge when you spend over a certain amount of money. We will definitely go back to Modani when we are ready for more furnishings. Thanks!!

When we found out that this place was so close to our house, we walked over and made our decision almost immediately. The staff are wonderfully kind and not pushy whatsoever, and they are great at helping you find something that works for your budget and space. The atmosphere is very relaxing and I really enjoyed my time shopping here. Their delivery and assembly service is great and the whole experience is hassle free. Definitely recommend this place.

The showroom was well curated and did not have a vast warehouse like feel. We found pieces which were appealing and sensibly priced right away. And we still had most of our day left to us. Thomas at the showroom was very professional and helped process the order, gave us other options and followed it up all the way until delivery. Were glad they have managed to make the whole experience contemporary and modern as well.

This place has a great collection of furnitures and the display room is big and neat. The information online is updated timely but its a good idea and experience to check out things in their show room, and you can find anything you see online. Staff were friendly and helpful. Their delivery and assembling options are very flexible. Also loved the spring sale promotion program. Ill definitely come back again in future.

Looking for a sofa bed my wife and I were a walk in. Rather imposing mirror sculpture at the door but then very comfortable after passing through the portal. Great range of sofas at excellent price - we found just what we were looking for a very stylish compact sofa bed for guests to our small apartment. Service was attentive but not in your face and very professional. Would highly recommend checking these guys out!

One of the few furniture shops I didnt walk straight out of in the Bay Area. Modern furniture at excellent prices. Especially with the current flash sale! Gabby was incredibly helpful and not at all pushy like in other furniture shops. Great items for all your rooms as well as nice accent pieces - mirrors, sculptures, paintings, etc. If you need new furniture, visit here before anywhere else.

My wife and I had a great experience with Mark in the VanNess showroom in S.F. on Friday evening. We purchased a dining table and desk that are perfect for our new place. Mark was exceptionally helpful and made the shopping experience fun (Im not a big shopper). =) There is SO much great furniture in this store and the prices are very reasonable for the design / quality.
