Ok apple fanboys, time to meet your archnemesis. Im a microsoft fangirl. This store is great. If you want to get the Nokia Windows Phone, get it here. Their insurance plan is SO MUCH BETTER than AT&Ts stupid Asurion plan (which charges you $199 every time you replace your phone; I can get it from reputable eBay dealers for just $30-40 more). The price for the phone here is also cheaper, because Microsoft subsidizes the tax (on a $599 phone) to the actual, lower amount being paid with a 2-year contract. AT&T charges you tax on the full phone. Okay but I didnt get a phone here. The only reason I know about the phones is face-palming myself because I got one from the AT&T store and have had to deal with those imbeciles. What I have, however, gotten is the Surface Pro 3 here. I had originally considered getting the Macbook Air, because the Surface was poorly marketed as a tablet (and I already had an iPad... ok Im realizing Im sounding less and less like a Microsoft fangirl, but it was from work). Anyway. I envision that the Microsoft marketing team had long, late-night discussions about whether to make it a tablet or a laptop. And eventually thought that the price point would look more attractive without the peripheral keyboard, so they tried to brand it a tablet. Bad idea. Shoulda gone with Ultrabook. I have since then been a really crappy owner of the Surface Pro. Im klutzy and live on concrete floors. That means it breaks. The insurance plan is worth it. $50 each time I break it. And it comes bundled with Microsoft Office 365 (one year subscription) and some other goodies (like a case, which I have clearly not been using). Im writing this review because Im about to walk over to the Microsoft store and trade in my Surface. I broke it. Again. Finally: the workers there. Whoever hired them did an excellent job training them. Theyre knowledgeable, they dont mess around, and each one feels ENABLED, which means they dont equivocate about decisions. Theyll have to go sometimes to their supervisor and inform them, but they dont just stare at you blankly while repeating "okay, okay. But I have to talk to my manager. Um, Im not sure." Really good job Microsoft.

Its being very bitter experience for us. We have purchased one Lenovo X1 Carbon 14” (i7) (256GB) Black CWF-01690 (S/N: 1S20A70037USR900NNZB) from here dated 23/11/2014 at 16:05:47. After 3 months of its purchase one day it didn’t start. We complaint regarding the same to Lenevo customer care at Delhi, they informed us that its mother board has been crashed and they also replaced it as it was under warranty. After 4 months i.e. on July-2015 its mother board crashed again. The same was replaced again by the lenevo service centre but they refused to provide windows software which was also corrupted in this Mother Board crash. We requested numerous time verbally as well as in written to resolve the software issue but they refused and said that the same will be repair on chargeable basis and also that they are only authorize to provide hardware support not software. We left none other option only to agree to their terms. We were ready to pay the charges but the current condition is that the laptop is with the service centre from 28/07/2015 and now they are saying that the mother board will be replace again since its RAM is faulty.

Buying a Microsoft product, or getting one fixed? Theres plenty of employees here ready to help! Been here multiple times for help and to shop, and Ive had nothing but great service. The staff is really helpful and answered all my questions. The Answer Desk is really helpful for anything Microsoft related. Even with Windows PCs that were not purchased at a Microsoft Store! Theres always availability to setup an appointment, unlike the Apple Store Genius Bar, and their technicians work pretty quick and are happy to help! There are some nice deals throughout the year, but the best sales happen during the holidays. Theres also some cool events that happen in-store for free with giveaways, so keep an eye out on their calendar. There really isnt any negatives I can say about this location. Their free Answer Desk support is really underutilized and I definitely recommend it for anyone with Windows problems.

This place is a fantastic resource for personalized technical support for users of Windows 8. There are plenty of helpful staff around and you can make appointments online or just walk in with your laptop or tablet. Because its so difficult to get technical support from Microsoft on the phone, its well-worth traveling downtown, if you happen live outside SF. Take a plane, if you have to! Its near BARTs Powell St. station. They showed me how to pin websites to my Start page, how to get anything to print (despite messages like "You can only print from apps"), how to re-set my screen size, how to make G-mail my default email, how to get my personalized version of Chrome on my Start page, and showed me a ton of shortcuts . Their Answer Desk is free and the technicians are friendly and extremely competent. Use them, these people rock.

I had an issue with my surface 3 type cover not working. Showed up and was wowed at how good the service is here. Norvin helped to solve my issue and get me on my way. It gets better. Two days later my surface had the same issue. Bring it back in only to find out my warranty expired two weeks ago.... did they take advantage of me? Nope. Not only did they try to fix my surface, they exchanged it for me. Now that is customer service. This place went above and beyond what I expected. Ill gladly return to purchase, repair, and any general questions I have. Thanks to Norvin and the other great staff at Microsoft store.

I ordered a new laptop from them. I couldnt make it to pick it up so I had my sister pick it up instead. When she went there to pick it up they told her that they couldnt find me in the system despite my sister telling me that the employee I talked to previously remembered me. Then she was told that the laptop wasnt there anymore. I went back to the store two weeks later to deal with it and the employee I talked to said that they sent it back last week. Now theres something wrong with this. Someone is lying and thats what makes me mad. I will never come back here. Theyre system is all messed up.
