Horrible customer service. The cashier (1986502) was rude, didnt bag our purchases and shoved the water across the counter at me in an attempt to get us out of the line quicker. She overcharged us $80 for two sleeping bags. My husband had to insist that they were $40 dollars less than what she rung up. The floor staff was helping under a sense of obligation but I give the guy credit for at least pretending to value his job. When a customer makes a purchase it is natural to have questions about quality of product and price etcetera. It was obvious that this was an inconvenience to the floor staff. Like most people I am on a budget and I like to know what things cost before I take it to the register. Most of the camping items we looked at were not marked and we had no idea how much it cost. Needless to say, we will be driving further out for better customer service I would never recommend this store to friends or family. I suggest another location if your big on customer service or a novice camper.

I was in need of an inner tube for my bike, so I checked the Big5 website, and wonderful, it showed IN STOCK at the Pico store. I run over there, check the shelf of bike tubes, and the size I need isnt there. So of course, they have some in the back. I ask one of the workers, he was busy with another customer, but checked with one of the other workers, and apparently, theyre out. Obviously, thats a problem, but the poor service and lack of customer care from the other six workers behind the counter who were doing absolutely nothing was appalling. People hate WalMart, but at least they had what I needed.

I do shop this Big 5 and I had a few questions but the gentleman didnt seem to knowledgeable on the canopies. But I found out he was new so Ill give him that one. Although beware when an item says only this this item at this price. Instead of putting "as is" letting you know there maybe something missing or something wrong with it , they just markdown the price. I thought because the box was beat up that maybe the bag was just dirty.....nope missing items.

The store itself was decent and the selection was the same. I purchased a bat, Louisville Slugger, and now I wonder if much of their products have defects in them. I dont mind paying more as long as the quality is worth it. Customer service there is terrible!! Another sporting goods store is definitely a better idea, Travel a little further and get a better product aswel as some customer service.

Customer service is terrible, we purchased a tent and wanted to split the cost 50/50 the cashier couldnt figure out how much each of us would have to pay. My sister told her most places the cashier should be able to figure out or use a calculator. No response from her, she needs a lesson in how to be a better person.

Organized product, no mess... Although it wasnt too busy during my Friday afternoon visit. Friendly staff. Sale prices marked on shelf didnt automatically ring up at register - check your prices at register.
