Ive shopped at so many different Whole Foods Markets over the years, and the Petaluma location is the one that stands out as the best of the bunch. Im going to list some quick positives and negatives about this branch. - Its big enough to have a wide selection, but not so big that you feel like you are in a warehouse. - The bulk section is the best in the county. - The little double decker shopping carts are awesome - The produce section is clean and generally well-stocked - Unlike the newest Whole Foods in Sonoma, this store puts more focus on take home foods rather than silly gourmet counter offerings - The staff is competent and helpful On the downside - - The parking lot is small and always crowded. Its also a bit of a pain to get into from the street. - Prices are so high...the nickname Whole Paycheck certainly fits! - As in all Whole Foods now, the company is purchasing its produce primarily from organic agribusinesses rather than small local farmers. Mass food production leads to food-borne illnesses and neglecting to purchase from local farmers does not support the community and wastes fuel. All in all, this is the place our family prefers to shop, but we urge Whole Foods to go back to their roots and start doing business with local farmers again.

Whole Foods as a whole is good and has good healthy food and for the most part all their employees are nice and helpful. However I have never been to any Whole Foods especially this one, where have I ever met a helpful and friendly employees in the skin care and first aid department. Today I was told they didnt have something and when I thad yes to tell the woman that I was trying to tell her she did have it acted like I called her names or something and then when I asked for povidone iodine and told they dont sell stuff to make drugs with, so I asked for anything g with Natalie silver in it to help with a injoury and they stood over me watching me as I read the package and deside if I wanted to buy it or not. If this is how they train there employees they should start over from scratch if not they should fire these guys.

I only intend to rate the little coffee bar over there because I literally had the hardest time ordering because the lady who helped me not only didnt know english well but seemed as though she were in training. Then another lady comes to assist her(quite possibly her trainer and asks me what I want and after I tell her goes "yay, finally" super sarcastic. I was very polite even after that and then the lady who doesn't speak english gives me this stupid card like I've been there before and I was like what is this? And once again she just doesn't explain so then I'm waiting for my coffee which they didn't bother to ask me my name for which was sitting there for 5 minutes.

I had for the 1st time a really bad experience at the deli from Wholefoods Petaluma. The person that made my sandwich was not friendly at all, then as she was making it, some other persons long pony tail was laying on top of my sandwich as she was getting something. I simply walked out and and went somewhere else for lunch. It is kind of sad because I did like their sandwiches there.....very sad. Watch out for a really short lady with long dark hair, you might end up with a $8.00 "hair sandwich"...GROSS!

more like Whole Paycheck right? Yes yes I know there is a certain demographic that swears by this place because it offers organic and specialty foods and shies away from all the name-brand commercial stuff that makes the average American obese. But it takes that special someone to be able to pay your credit card bill every month after going here on a regular basis. However, they do offer a great lunch buffet area at a reasonable price if you can learn to control your portion sizes.

Great place to grab a quick healthy lunch on the go. Hot case always has something tasty for a quick lunch. Salad bar is extensive. Six varieties of hot soup daily in the deli area, plus 4 hot seafood soup varieties across the store in the seafood area. Staff is always ready to walk you to the item youre looking for (rather than saying a few rows over on aisle 6 or 7 as in some stores). I like that theyre so willing to offer samples of just about any item too.

I visited with the person behind the cheese counter for 10 minutes. I got a good lesson on aged cheese and why it matters and what the difference is. I was also offered samples. I really enjoyed visiting with that gentleman who is very knowledgeable. Dont visit him back there and try one of their many different cheeses they offer. They also have an Olive Buffet which is wonderful.

There isnt much to say about Whole Foods that hasnt already been said. Great fresh produce, helpful staff, and wide variety of health foods that are hard to find elsewhere. It is a bid pricey but that is expected since it is a "Whole Foods". They have a wide variety of ready made items like salads, meats, and side dishes made every day.

WORST STORE EVER!!!! Today: 2 kinds of mac n cheese (neither one gluten feee), 3 kinda if pizza (none gluten free), prepared foods in cold case was completely empty. No tofu in: Burrito bar, salad, bar, cold case, prepared foods. (This is every day) You would think a gluten free vegetarian would be able to eat at a Whole Foods. NOPE.

Friendly staff. Smaller store with little parking lot so is a pain when busy. I also like Petaluma Market: A lot of the same options as WF and a really good deli and self serve food bar. Easier parking.

The Deli has an amazing selection. The burritos are so delicious. They make the magority of the food there in the store. It is by far my favorite place in town to eat.

This is a great Whole Foods. Huge store, big selection, quick checkout. Parking can be difficult, so if you can get there without a car, Id recommend doing so.
