Ive been shopping here for over ten years. Overall I pay about 1/3 of what most people do for groceries. If I had to shop somewhere like Safeway or Raleys all the time I think I would starve. I have loads of money, but I just cant bring myself to pay their silly prices. For example, I recently got Kalamata olives from Greece here for $1 a pound. Cheese prices cant be beat. And as to the expiration dates? they may be a little bit past sometimes, but face it, brands put absurdly short dates on things to try to get you to throw them out and buy more. I have never bought anything here that was bad. And their return policy is very liberal and fair. Overall, I think people are nuts to do their shopping anywhere else in Petaluma.

I stop at this store first and pick up mostly everything I need. Then I go to Luckys to get the freshly made salads, bakery items and 1% milk, which GO does not offer. I have found lots of items that I am pleased with, prices for the most part. Yes, do watch the expiration dates, but some items that are not the norm in name, can be good too. I do wish they would remove the dairy, cheese area and frozen food sections and sanitize them, as it does smell a bit old in those sections. The prices are what brings me in, as I am a senior lady and live on SS and am very limited. There is no Super Walmart in this area, so have to shop around. I also found the employees to be helpful and polite. Thanks for reading.

Ok so if you like wine, and you drink a lot of it, you know it can be expensive. At grocery outlet, any wine that has a write up is uaully pretty darn good, and for the price, unbeatable. I am not a huge fan of shopping here for food. I dont eat a lot of processed stuff, but come her and fill up a box with wine and you will spend half of what you normally do and get some great bottles. Also, went here one to get food for camping, spent about 1/4 of what i normally do. Definitely a go to for that too.

I love Grocery Outlets because each one is different and a treasure hunt. The Petaluma one consistently has one of the better beer and wine sections of all GOs Ive visited. "Steve the Wine Guy" that use to be at the Oakland Grocery Outlet and did an amazing job curating and getting good wines is now at this Petaluma store an is a wealth of knowledge. I also appreciate that the consistently have firewood for sale.

In addition to the usual virtues of GO (rest rooms, cheap wine, interesting cheese) this one had a great selection of Indian food in retort pouches suitable for motels with microwave or camping. If you dont find what you want here, you can walk to the Dollar Tree or the ice cream parlor the brew pub with outdoor seating by the Petaluma River.

What used to be kind of a down-market remainders store has become amazing. Sure, theyve still got the products that failed to sell that you can pick up for a song, but theyve also got good prices on staples. If you arent too picky about brand names you can do all of your shopping here.

I shop here every Monday morning for my weekly supplies. Great prices and I always save 50% or more over Grocery chains. Store is always stocked by 7am when I get off work, and staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Dont pass on a bargain because it may be gone next time.

Older but very clean store. Nice staff and excellent prices. But, the fresh produce does not last very long once home and shelf choices are limited. Love when their is a great local cheese available at a bargain price!!!
