This is my Joanns as it is the closest to me. The staff is very nice. Stock is OK, I have problems with items not being available when I need them. The cutting wait can be over an hour at times, with 3 cutters. Not because of staffing, because this is such an isolated location. I have to go all the way to Midway Dr. to get to the nearest coastal location or up to Irvine. I will often have to go all the way to Temecula for special fabrics or yarn not found in Oceanside. I would like to see them increase thei size of this Joanns as this is a very popular location, again, because it services most of the Northwest population of San Diego. That said, it is my local Joanns and a very nice one.

Actually, I had decent service from MOST of the employees and the manager was very helpful. Wait time for cutting is too long and they need more help with it. The next closest Joannes to me is in Escondido and I found THEM extremely rude and not aware of the products in the store. I found what I wanted after I was told they had no idea what I wanted and were sure they didnt carry it. They did and I showed it to one of the clerks who insisted they didnt have it. The Oceanside store is much smaller and more helpful The quilt shops in the area are absolutely great with the quality of their fabric. Wish they carried more sewing items.

The employees here never have a smile on their face and always act like they cant wait to move on to he next customer. From the cutting table to the cash register they all seem to hate their job. On top of that it is impossible to find someone to ask for help. I get more help from other customers in the store than the employees. I only go to this location if I really need something cause it is close to my house. They need more staff in the store and more a friendly staff would be a plus.

Came here to buy microsuede fabric for a headliner project, as well as polyurethane foam for an air filter. I have come here for other projects as well and have purchased glue and other random things. Large store with a lot of selection of products and fabrics for arts and crafts. Was a bit of a wait at the register and also for an associate to help me find my fabric as well as cut it. This was because there were few people working while many customers needed assistance.

They have fairly good coupons and a nice selection of fabric. They are very strict and domineering towards their employees which creates an atmosphere of fear that is hard to miss. I mean I get that you need to have rules, but when one of your employees is hovering over the others and the customers can tell its to catch them in any slight wrong doing, much less the other employees themselves, it really makes it unpleasent to shop. Also the lines are long.

Terrible customer service. Every time I call them to inquire about a lot of yardage for my business, they act as though Im an inconvenience to them. Once I spoke to a manager and he told me there was a recent delivery of my fabric to the store, but he didnt have time to look for it!!!!!! Really???? Each call gets a different response. Who runs this place anyway?!? I guess they dont really care about volume business . . .

Love my local JoAnns, but they really missed the boat on enlarging the store or moving to another site within the shopping center which is in the middle of a huge remodel/rebuild. Need to carry more team fabrics--LA Kings hockey for one, ethnic fabrics/prints would be nice--Japanese, anime, etc. but are limited because its a small store.

Its the only JoAnns near me, so I keep going. But its a small store, with limited options. They always seem to be short staffed, and have long lines. Some of the staff is friendly, some grumpy, but lord help you if you have a question. There is never anyone free to help, unless you steal a lady from the cut counter or check out.

This store used to be an unfriendly place to shop but many of the staff are new and the whole feeling of the store has changed. The staff are helpful and friendly and did their best to help me. The store could be a little neater though.

It takes a hour just to get something cut then theirs always one person dealing with the front check out so you turned a 5 minutes run in to a 30 / 40 minute run

Decent prices, okay service, if you want something unique you need to find one of the many quilting stores nearby. Most sell amazing fabric!
