Some people believe that Aldis only sells generic, cheap products. However, this is NOT the case. Aldis sells some brand-name products. Their produce is excellent at a fantastic price-point. They also sell many organic items, which I appreciate. From fruit to fresh vegetables and any other products too. This Aldis store is located almost next door to the Costcos Gas Station. It is a stand-alone Aldis store (NOT connected to a strip mall). There is an Aldis less than 1-mile away from where we live, but I come to this one (it is 3-miles from where we live), because this Aldis is much larger. I can always find the 100% Whole Wheat hot dog or hamburger buns. This is never the case at the Aldis near our home base. I like that Aldis offers brand-name products, such as, cereal, margarine, sour cream, cheese slices. The store is well organized, bright and clean. Also, the employees are always friendly and helpful. The store accepts credit cards, so if you need to use one you certainly can do so. I always use my VISA Debit card here. The parking lot is a nice size. Bring your own bags to the store (or you can buy a bag at Aldis for 10 cents each -- if you forget to bring your own bag). You will bag your own groceries here. You will pay 25 cents for a shopping cart,. However, when you return the shopping cart at the end of your shopping excursion, you get your quarter back. The reason for my 4-star rating is that Aldis does NOT open early (like Marianos and/or Whole Foods). I am an avid runner so I am always awake by 5 a.m. for my morning run. I like to get my grocery shopping and other errands completed before 9 a.m. Aldis opens at 9 a.m., so I usually have to wait several hours until they open. This is the only negative regarding the store -- they dont open early enough. The BEST PART about shopping at Aldis is being able to stretch my dollars when it comes to groceries. The BEST part, for me, is finding organic produce items and their prices are off-the-hook good! Their gallon of milk sells for a lot LESS than Walmart! Usually either under $2 or a tiny bit above $2, so start thinking of Aldis as a money-saver for you and your family. Youll be surprised how many bags of groceries you will go home with and youll spend a lot less too (compared to Marianos or Whole Foods).

Ubicada en Niles illinois fue finalizada en 1934 por el empresario industrial Rober Ilg como parte de un parque recreativo para los empleados de la compañía Ilg Hot Air Electric Ventilating de Chicago.Está situada en el 6300 de la Ave E. Touthy. Se especula que parte de la motivación para construir la torre fue para celebrar el 600 aniversario de la Torre Inclinada de Pisa. Otra explicación más probable es la de su propósito funcional original: almacenar agua para las piscinas recreativas exteriores. Además de almacenar agua, la torre también rendía homenaje al astrónomo Galileo Galilei nacido en Pisa En la inscripción de la placa al pie de la torre se puede leer: "dedicado a todos aquellos quienes contribuyen y luchan por hacer de esta Tierra y sus recursos ilimitados, un lugar materialmente y científicamente mejor para la humanidad".

convenient, clean, fresh food, organic, gluten free, low cost milk and other essentials, fun buys every week, new "hip" foods. Aldi and Trader Joes are owned by the same German company so they share a lot of similar new trendy foods with limited selection so they keep prices low. employees are hard working and friendly who focus on customers. They work fast, unlike some other grocery store employees!

I was assaulted in the store from a guy who lived at the ymca across the street. No security guard, I had to call 911 myself and the manager didnt want to even get involved. Huge ordeal for me, called Corp. Aldi they could of cared less. Bad experience in Niles. Better in the city with Security at all city stores. But Im not returning to Aldi.

This Aldi has always been nice, but its even better since they re-organized the store last fall. Aisles are now wider, and signs make things easier to find. We get the same quality items as Jewel but pay $70 a week instead of about $100.

Where we (family of 4) do our primary shopping. Not a huge selection of each thing and veggies, fruits all prebagged in set sizes but its cheaper than any other grocery shop. Bag your own system. We save hundreds a month shopping here.

German chain grocery is rock bottom prices for the value shopper who wont compromise for quality. I get my meats here like all the ethnic Europeans because it simply cant be surpassed for value by Costco or Walmart.
