Marc is the biggest self righteous arrogant imbecile youll ever meet. 1. Freshwater Shrimp cant get ich, ICH is a fish disease. Shrimp are invertebrates, have exoskeletons, and therefore, no scales or slime coat that the parasite can penetrate. Fun fact: "ich" is fish in Latin. 2. Some Bettas CAN in fact, live in community tanks, given the right conditions. They are not all voracious killers who thirst for the blood of others. 3. He is the only "manager" in petco, "...since 20 years" to not allow live, healthy fish returns from another store location. I had to call 3 different petco managers, from 3 different stores of San Diego county to convince him otherwise. I ended up calling corporate after for the absolutely flat out rude and unprofessional conduct as a manager of Petco. I love petco, and I am a loyal customer as they are the most friendly and genuine pet stores there is, at least in my areas, being the Mira Mesa, po way, Carmel mountain area, etc. But I have never met such an arrogant, self righteous prick like Marc, who apparently also blocked my number from the store location. Amazing. Make no mistake- upon learning I was blocked from the store today, I will from now on return all the most expensive products- if needed- to this location, regardless of where I purchased it from. I will go out of my way to do just that. You have been warned.

My mom reviewed this store and petco removed it! Whats the point of reviews if petco is going to pay to remove them ? We werent satified with your service and if you remove this review, i will have all my friends coworkers and family review you as well. I just want other customers to know how badly we were treated and refused service for our lil pet to get her nails cut after waiting a long time because of your staff lazyness. We werent rude to you at all and waited patient for you to just wait our time. I dont recommend this place for grooming to anyone unless you love to have your time wasted by lazy staff.

Been to this petco 4 to 5 times now,thinking each time will be different but no. This place has horrible customer service, longest waiting for help, and all merchandise is miss priced. I tried buying a few things that were miss marked it took them 30min. to find the right priced items, no wait they never did it took them 30 min. to get a so called manager to come and tell me even though the products I have are miss priced "it is what it is" she said "take it or leave it" . This store should not be open!!

Customer service is awesome except if your pet needs vet care in the first 30 days. The paperwork says they will treat it through a vet they use. We bought a guinea pig and 2 weeks later it was having eye issues. They wanted to buy it back from us. This is NOT what the contract states. I took my guinea pig to the vet and 100 dollars later I had the treatment she needed.

Neat place and has a lot of products to choose from. Had some time looking around as well as its our first time visiting the store. Found some aquarium decors I could maybe use on my miniature garden. Parking isnt a problem as theres enough spot to park.

My doggy Hillary loves this place. She gets cleaned up showered and looking all pretty for everyone especially after she lost a competition. We feel like this is the best one in the United States of America.

Was able to get the cat food I needed with no problems. The staff is very helpful when needed (Past visits). I recommend this Pet store if your in the area.
