Best bbq on west coast ... real wood fire ... real man sized meat portions ... friendly, eager, accurate staff that anticipated everything we needed ... Ive tried Q all over the world this meat was delicious. .. cooked with flavorful wood smoke and seasoned just right ...the house sauce was great and the spicy one had the perfect heat on the end without making it burn you buds .... I tried the combo plate including brisket, ribs and link ... the ribs were juice hot and tender with dry rub and only a dab of sauce... the brisket had bark and ring and was do tender a knife was not needed [my favorite] no sauce and and not needed ... link was spicy good w a good portion of fennel natural casing with that real food snap .... so I really enjoyed it and think you will too ....

*update* I strongly urge my friends to go to Trail Dust tonight for dinner. Did I ever make a mistake!!! All we got in our pulled pork dinners were burnt pieces of pork with very little edible pork. Considering my past visits, this was a huge blunder on their part. Im thinking because it was a to-go order that they decided to give us trash. Thankfully my friends wife, who got the chicken, thoroughly enjoyed her dinner. Im pissed!!! I had to go get another dinner elsewhere. Ill post a photo from a past vist, sadly I threw my dinner away and was too angry to remember to photograph tonights. Doubt Ill be back. Minus 3 stars, as you only stand on your last performance. Their pulled pork and potato are SO delicous.

Been stopping here whenever I am working in Morgan hill or the surrounding areas. I will gladly drive out of my way for that firebird sandwich. The pork sandwiches are incredible. I recommend getting the large version of the sandwich, the portion is amazing. Also, I am really in to beer and they have such a large and diverse selection its beautiful. I also have noticed over the last year I have been eating here that the beers frequently rotate so theres always something new to try. To top it off the staff is friendly and attentive but its never over powering. They have that infinitely inviting vibe. Looking forward to going there tomorrow for lunch!

Food: 3 Decor: 3 Service: 4 Came here with the family for a late dinner, around 845pm. 1. Full rack pork rib meal, 25 and Large Smoked tri-tip meal, 18 ~Okay. Both the pork ribs and the tri-tip were just all right. Tri-tip was a bit lacking in flavor, and the ribs werent as tender as i would have hoped. However, the sides were surprisingly good. The coleslaw was one of the best Ive had, and the potato salad and beans were pretty good as well. 3. Garlic bread, 4 ~Okay. Good amount of garlic in it, but I would have liked it crispier. Service was nice and friendly.

The food was ok. The beans were not great. I would have given the food more stars but my boyfriend became sick after drinking the Isabella Blonde Beer half way through the meal he started to sweat and left the table several times. We finished and drove 1 mile to our hotel we made it to our room in time for every thing to come up. I called them to let them know that the beer was sour and they need to check it. They blew me off. I would not go there again. Getting sick and paying for it is double wrong in my book.

You have had better beans from a can. The tri-pe (deliberately) had good flavor on the surface, not throughout. Not dry. Just forgettable. As a sandwich boring. Some people are just tired of living...making it hard on the rest of us. One young woman tried to be friendly...I guess the other staff was just pulling her under. Skip it. You have had better. Real smoke is just a sign on the building. They were not smoking anything. Saturday July 2 not exactly what you expect 4th weekend.

Very friendly staff-even though we had to wait because a couple of parties of 8 came in before us. I had the chicken sandwich with sauce on the side & my husband had the pulled pork, both done to perfection--not smothered in some slimy sickeningly sweet sauce, but smoked to moist perfection and very tasty. The cole slaw was great too. Had the Sophie beer which was also very tasty. Well come back any time were in the area.

Nom nom nom! Super fast service. Very nice server and hostess. Their ribs are worth the drive. Despite the place looking busy, we were seated down fairly quickly. I love their ribs and sauce. Im not so much of a fan of their sides but their ribs are so good that its not a big deal. If youre a fan if craft beers, this is a place youre going to want to visit. The place is small but very comfortable and cozy.

First time here on a saturday around 1pm. Food was great. Especially pulled pork sandwich.....BUT THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE!!! It took 10 minutes to get menus, I had to ask for them. Even to get our drinks took an additional 10 minutes, AGAIN, I had to ask for them. In addition, the servers gave attitude as if we were disturbing them. Again great food, POOR SERVICE!

This is my go to place for real tasty bbq. The staff is always friendly and you feel like part of the family when youre there. Theres an outstanding selection of beers, and the food is marvelous. Ive had ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and chicken here, prepared in various ways, and Ive loved it all. Just the right amount of smokiness and flavor. Very kid friendly too.

Awesome place! Ashley my waitress was sweet and helped my decision with the great beer selection they have, as well as service throughout my visit. Maite was very helpful and nice to talk to. My beers and tritip meal were excellant, and i would highly recommend this place. Thank you for the wonderful time!

This fun little pub is always a surprise with great food! The BBQ is really delish! When we go through Morgan Hill we make this one of our priority stops. Wonderful!!! * the womens bathroom has a special treat when you use the automatic paper towel dispenser... think of the screaming goat videos haha

I have been coming here for the last 4 years, and so for has been the best for BBQ close to San Jose. I have tried some bbq places in san Jose, santa cruz, Aptos, San Francisco, and few other towns, and they are not as good as dust trail. The meat perfectly smoked and tender. The BBQ sauce is the best.

Amazingly delicious food! We had the ribeye, pulled pork, beef ribs and tri tip salad, everything was mouthwateringgood! So tender and fresh tasting! We finished our meal with the cobbler, best Ive ever had! Cant wait to go back with more friends and family, staff was very friendly also, its a win win!

Absolutely my favorite BBQ in the bay area. There are many styles of BBQ and Trail Dust serves it up Texas style. The ribs can not be beat. Nice quaint seating and service is good. They do take out and that is what I usually do. Hard pressed to find a better BBQ of this style outside of Texas.

Food was just okay, inside was kinda grungy. Maybe the old time feel is part of their style but it just felt cluttered and dark for me. The one waitress who spoke with me was kind and the food was brought quickly so thats a plus. It does seem a bit expensive for what theyre making though.
