I always wondered why no one at the local race track ever buys anything from modesto hobby maybe its because they NEVER have anything but lame ass traxxas or maybe because when you order something it takes two and a half weeks or maybe because when you leave a review describing your poor experience on yelp they take it down and break professionalism by confronting you or maybe because the guy in the front is a dickbump now wonder doug and the other racers never support them they wont be here two years from now ps the five stars are from people who work there dont be fooled Ive even brought two people in who bought expensive equipment and never got a discount,the only thing they discount is their customer satisfaction"is damon there, no, do you know when hell be in, no,........tomorrow.well I want to talk about my order ... well damons gone he olny comes in half the time anyway. ....(like the orders arent in the front right by him)well can I speak to rod.............wait one second......"end of quote the guy in the front is a dickbump like I said , they dont act like they care, I felt like I was at a flea market

couldnt get any better! one day i brought my nitro rc car in and i instantly got help. (And they tuned the engine 4 free) they told me what was wrong and the parts i needed so i ordered the parts and came in the next week. the same person helped me and got it done faster than i expected.instead of charging me 40$ per hour they did it for 2$ dollars. And then recommended new zip ties. so i bought the zip ties from them and they put it on 4 free. the next week i came in because my exuast had melted...(my cars that much of a beast) and once again got the job done. So any 1 saying they would rather drive 2 hours to go to there lil "rc country" clearly works 4 "rc country".

Im an avid kite flier and locally there is nothing in the way of kites and accessories. well on the day where I had a lil accident with my stunt kite. I got on the phone and searched around and I found these guys. when I got there I was greeted with a warm smile and immediate help..(for me a kite down is an emergency. lol)I and was drooling at the site of the stunt kites hanging up.. anyhoo they didnt have the parts but suggested something else which was equal to what I would have had to order online and pay for shipping and have to wait for. plus they gave me tips...it so made my day! got what I needed, didnt have to pay an arm and a leg and was up in the air the next day....thx you guys xo

I visited Modesto Hobby and Craft with a group of energetic High School students who were searching for new science projects. The staff was extremely informative and patient with us. They answered our questions on everything from rc planes and helicopters to models and rockets, and helped us choose the items that were the best fit for us, even if they were less expensive than what we were originally interested in. I spilled my coffee in my car when I was loading up our purchases and the staff was amazingly helpful and even got me paper towels to help clean up the mess. Overall I am very pleased with their level of service and am looking forward to working with them in the future.

has really gone downhill. couple answers I got from employees once they were done playing with a multi rotor in the store or on their cellphones. we can order that. (yeah I can do that and save money at the same time) our car guy just left for lunch. you can wait for him to come back. (you work in this store all day and have zero knowledge of rc cars ???) last time I was here was over 2 years ago and it was a much better experience. I doubt it will be here in 2 more years. its biggest problem is lack of stocked products or parts. the shelves look very bare.

Dont by anything rc related they say they have replacment part and then feed you a line of bull that they cant get a hold of the carrier so its a bogus place to buy something for so much money and then once they have your money they dont want to helpyou so just be carefull and dont trust the rc guys in the back

I stopped by this store for the first time and they didnt have much at all. If you want to go to a real hobby store go to RC courty in Sac or go to Hobby Town USA in Concord ca. Both of these stores have everything in stock that you will need.. NEVER GOING TO MODESTO HOBBY AGAIN THEY SUCK.....

These guys are lazy, limited, and retarded. I dont really think this store is great in any particular way. Theyre friendly and all but like a dumb lazy friendly. Go here, and shop. If you can put up with people.

This place is no good I rather drive for an hour and go to rc country then shop here. The workers there act like they dont even want to be there and the others are to busy on there iphone

Pretty nice place man nice model planes, tanks, trains, rc cars, and also lots of tools to help you with what you bought. Brushes paints. The train layout is really nice too.

Biggest downside is the lack of model stock. Brands offered are limited as well as paints, finishing products and tools for models.
