Prices getting high----------------------- Hours arbitrarily change----------------------- Attitude often stinks-------------------------------------- PRICES GETTING HIGH. the ladies that run the shop have discovered the internet and seem to research prices on most things now. so the good ol days, if this keeps up, are vanishing. i also think its unfair: they see los gatos as full of rich people but what they dont think about is that for the overwhelming part the rich dont shop at the dragon. its mostly people who dont work (the dragons hours are 10-4). so the high prices are really taking advantage of the less well-off. for instance, today they are selling: - a remo practice drum head for $10 and it only costs $8 new! - An old music book stand $5 - they cost this much new! i can just picture them looking everything up on ebay then slapping a price on an item. if they keep it up they will be just like the over-priced cancer thrift shop here in town. .---------------------------------------------- HOURS CARELESSLY AND ARBITRARILY CHANGE They also often arbitrarily lock the door at 3.45 by surprise on some days because one of them gets a bug up her. They dont give a thought that some loyal customers walk, bike or ride a good distance or rush home early after work to go help this charity by shopping there. Ladies, if some of you know-it-all, like you act like you do, streamline your hours so there is no confusion. Then post your hours as 10-3.45 and cut the nonsense. its not only you that matters, the shop is not your personal fiefdom. One less reason for you to be snippy to customers (that will so disappoint you). Save it for your family -- who probably wont take your crap anymore. -------------------------------------------------- ATTITUDES STINK Too many nasty MISERABLE old bats that ought to just stay home volunteer there, while there are also some really nice and cool ladies there. What a slap in the face. They really need a reality check and lose the power trip (we are not your miserable messed up kids that apparently have some of you so miserable about your life). Despite some staff telling you to put large purchases you are reserving til checkout back behind the counter area some staff flip out and get rude if you put something behind there. Put up a damned sign up or better yet rope then you cant snap that they dont and cant see your myriad signs, you know-it-all old bats - I thought you were so smart! Yet you cant straighten this out. --------------------------------------------- PURPOSE Hopefully this review will make this shop pleasant for the NICE people who volunteer there (how unfair to them). --------------------------------------------- UPDATE May I remind the rude volunteers that I and others also DONATE to your shop! Hello?! welcome back to planet earth! I am going to donate elsewhere until I see changes here so get on it ladies.

For the second time today I found myself being treated totally inappropriately by the staff of this volunteer shop! I would like to agree with most of the point made by the previous reviewer..these people are just way too crabby to even be OUT in public, much less in a position of working with the public! I will admit I have found some great things here, but I am not sure that I can stomach being treated like absolute CRAP by these old women who feel they have the right to talk to customers like we are their "bad children"! I have also experienced one person telling me to put my stuff under the counter, and another telling me to "NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!" I think I will cross this off my list and instead go to the Echo Shop in Saratoga, the Discovery Shop in Los Gatos or the other MQ shop in Almaden.

Theres nothing like a thrift shop in an affluent town, this is a true spot for treasure hunting, get an Armani blazer for $10 or grab some fine china for dirt cheap. They have electronics, shoes, and kids clothes galore. Its very tiny and the staff is 100% volunteer. The majority of them are elderly, so service is not that great, but the finds are. They have two dressing rooms and horrible parking. Hours are limited, and you would be best to bring your own bags. The store is 100% charitable as they fund EMQ childrens counseling services for Santa Clara county.

A small little local thrift store with cheap prices. We didnt find the toddler clothes we were looking for, but ended up buying some kids games and toys instead.

Small but nicely stocked shop. This is definitely a place worth stopping by if youre a vintage hunter. Theres also a changing room available.
