BUYERS BEWARE - DECEITFUL, DISRESPECTFUL, BAIT AND SWITCH DEALER - SOLD ME A CAR AS A COLLECTIBLE, TURNS OUT THE CAR WAS REPAINTED AND HAS TONS OF ISSUES. GARY CASEY MOST CONDESCENDING RUDE MANAGER IVE EVER DEALT WITH. See the issues in the email I sent them within a week of driving the car home (this is my second car, my other car is a new BMW, so I barely drove this one and noticed all these glaring issues). Upper Management ignored my email for over a month hoping I would forget about it, and then after following up 3 times with the Salesperson was told that the car was sold "as-is" and they could do nothing. Never received an email from management.... Never expected a Mercedes Dealership to be so deceitful and classless. "Hi Bernie, Hope all is going well on your end. Thanks again for being helpful and overall great to deal with. I wanted to send you a quick note that you can hopefully share with the Used Car Sales Manager Gary Casey and higher ups at Mercedes Benz Laguna Niguel regarding the many problems I have encountered with the "immaculate" condition collectible Jaguar I bought: 1 - The front end appears to have been repainted as only the front end of the car shows an orange peel finish, it was pointed out by a friend who works at a local dealer 2 - The driver side window has a gap when the door is closed (hence the car cannot go in a car wash, and it is a security concern) 3 - The Passenger seat does not recline 4 - The headrest for both seats does not function, there is noise when pushing the button but nothing happens 5 - There is an Engine Coolant Low warning message in the dash. Ive also seen a DSC System Fault message appear These noticeable issues are on top of the other issues including leaky Front Headlight, broken sun visor, missing convertible top cover (the car simply had the cover bag in the trunk, but nothing inside the bag). Of course I understand this is a 13 year old car but I was told by the used sales manager Gary Casey that Mercedes of Laguna Niguel would not put their name and reputation on the line unless the car was in pristine condition. We were never told of these obvious issues by the used sales manager but were instead told that he spent too much money on the car already and that its a good price based on the collectible book range. Im sure they were aware of these issues since they spent so much time and effort looking over the car. The issue here is the dishonesty from the manager Gary Casey in regards to the condition of the car and the bad attitude received from manager when asking about the car. A reply of "well the car is 13 years old, what do you expect" and "if you dont like the $13,000 price you can go back to wherever you came from, I came at 5am and dont have time to deal with this" isnt very friendly or welcoming regardless of price or age of the car. I never expected the car to be without fault eventually, but the fact that we were told it was immaculate condition and quoted a collectible price without ever being told of its current issues isnt the best of service at any dealership, specially at such a high end luxury dealership like Mercedes. And this is all only within 1 week of driving off the Mercedes Laguna Niguel lot...and the Jaguar is not my main car, its a 2nd for fun car as I have a new BMW as my main car... We were really excited to eventually come get a Mercedes with Bernie when the time came around but with all these problems and the rude service we received from the manager, weve become more reluctant to shop there or recommend anyone to do business there. Hopefully this can reach the right audience in Mercedes Laguna Niguel dealer management. Thanks again Bernie for your great help and patience during the sales and paperwork process. Abdel Z"

I recently purchased a vehicle for my wife to be shipped from Mercedes Benz Laguna Niguel to Western New York. Chris Myers (salesperson) was extremely gracious, helpful and considerate, going as far to answer calls on his day off via cell phone. He was extremely clear and easy to work with. Unfortunately, thats where the positive portion of this review ends. The finance department was the typical pushy warranty up-sell sales pitch but that is to be expected in purchasing a vehicle. The title/DMV clerk at the dealership sent us documents prior to the receipt of the vehicle but neglected to send us the title to the vehicle with said documents. We received window stickers, the bill of sale, et cetera, but no title. I did not assume that this would be a problem because the vehicle was still in transit for nearly two weeks, but upon receipt of the vehicle, no title was included. I called their team in an attempt to get an answer as to why the title was not included with the sale and while they never admitted any fault, they offered to overnight the title to us on their dime. At this point, FedEx has now managed to lose the title in transit as the package was due to be delivered overnight and never arrived. We now have what amounts to an expensive paperweight in the driveway with no way to register the vehicle in the state of New York in order to drive it legally. FedEx has no recourse or ETA on the receipt of the title, but ultimately this would have all been avoided had they done their due diligence in providing the appropriate paperwork to register a vehicle in advance of receipt being that they had a 14 day period to provide said information. All parties in this situation should feel fortunate that we have a private area to store the vehicle because if we were in a situation where we needed to use public or street parking, the vehicle would be impounded in New York State due to the lack of registration and license plates. We run the risk of our insurance canceling coverage on the vehicle due to the inability to legally drive the vehicle to a state photo inspection station, et cetera, all because their team did not send the appropriate documentation with the vehicle and scrambled to cover their mistake after the fact. The vehicle was generally as described but does have some unmentioned defects (ie: windshield washer nozzles spray fluid under the hood onto the engine instead of onto the windshield, some unmentioned cracks and scratches, but such is life when purchasing a pre-owned vehicle. Youd think the windshield washer fluid issue wouldve been addressed to the nature of the Mercedes Certified Pre-Owned program, though). Again, Chris Myers himself was an excellent and efficient salesperson, but the negligence represented by the other members of the staff indicates to me that any buyers, especially those out-of-state, should take extreme caution when choosing to deal with this dealership. I would expect a reputable dealership to be more efficient and reliable than they have proven to be, but as it sits today, we have little to no recourse combined with a vehicle which can not be legally registered in New York State due to their lack of due diligence in completing the sale paperwork. This has left my wife without adequate transportation and created hours upon hours of follow up labor that I have had to perform trying to resolve the issue.

Great buying experience at MB of Laguna Niguel. In early 2016, I was looking for a 2016 GLE400, which had become a little hard to find in the exterior and interior color combination I was looking for. I live in Las Vegas, and contacted both dealerships in the Vegas valley, only to be mostly ignored after a few e-mails. During my online search, I contacted MB of Laguna Niguel, and was assisted by Eddie Montchaikul in the Internet sales department. Great guy - thorough, knowledgeable, and on top of everything. He tried to help me find the exact colors and options I was looking for, but when something came available in the area, it was gone just as fast. In May, I decided to just order a 2017 GLE 43 (basically the same vehicle as the 2016 GLE400, just a different name for the 17 model year.) After it was ordered, he followed up every so often letting me know where we stood in the production. Fast forward to September, and the vehicle had finally arrived. Due to some family situations, Eddie had taken a leave of absence, and Tim Rhine in sales stepped in. Now after I developed a relationship with Eddie, the last thing I wanted was some new guy jumping in at the last minute that didnt have full knowledge of Eddie and Is conversations and agreements/expectations. However, after a few phone/text conversations with Tim, it was clear that he was equally as qualified as Eddie, and a true professional. I flew in to SNA from Las Vegas, and Tim picked me up at the airport. Very nice and enjoyable conversation driving back to the dealership. We took the GLE 43 on a test drive, and of course it was great. What I like about Tim is you can tell he cares more about the relationship and experience than selling you a vehicle. Not at all like your "typical" car salesman which you can sense the fake vibes from the moment you meet. Just a real genuine guy. I had to wait a little bit to meet with Ramsay in finance to finalize all the paperwork, as there were a few other customers in queue, but I didnt mind - free WiFi, Starbucks, and was able to fire up the laptop and get some work done. Ramsay in finance was also extremely personable and professional. He kept trying to push the extended warranty, which I didnt mind. Thats his job, and his demeanor didnt change after I rejected it 5 times. Very thorough in going over all of the paperwork, and never felt rushed. All in all, an excellent buying experience from initial e-mail to drive off over the course of 4 months. I felt like I was the most important customer they had, yet there were plenty of other customers in the dealership. Very satisfied, and will absolutely buy more vehicles from Tim and MB of Laguna Niguel in the future.
