This Mitsuwa is probably the smallest one that I have been to. This review will have 2 parts, one for the store and the other for the food court. 1. I only really been to this place twice but both times have been great. We were looking for Green Tea Kit Kats and were able to get some at this location as other locations were out. Staff was very friendly in helping us find all the stuff we were looking for. 2. This locations food court is very small compared to other Mitsuwas and I have not eaten here yet. Note: Probably the best thing about this particular Mitsuwa is that its right next door to Daiso. Daiso is like a Japanese 99 cent store but filled with neat Japanese stuff.

We came purely for the ramen. Several different restaurants within the store. As for the ramen, it was very good! The soup was well season and balanced, I believe I got the Tan Tan. The noodles felt quality (that was strange to say, but you know what I meant). The difficult part was finding a seat. The tables were pretty much occupied at all times. People just keep rotating in and out of them. Crazy. Definitely recommend if you have the patience to wait for a table. They also have a delicious pastries!

its hard to give this mitsuwa a proper score... it is not nearly as big as the mitsuwa in Costa Mesa, which is only about 10 minutes away. on the other hand, its still stocked with all your favorite Japan imports. the food court here is small, only about 3 shops, compared to the 10 or so in Costa Mesa... but one of the food court locations has Tako yaki and okonomiyaki! that alone makes this worth a visit! parking is very easy and the shopping plaza looks very modern.

If youre looking for a Japanese market in the area this is it. The prices are a bit on the expensive side but thats to be expected for things imported from Japan. The grocery area is small at this location but has a lot of the basis one might need. There is a bakery and a food court as well. Make sure to bring cash with you for the food court. The quality of food at the food court is pretty good for how quick it is. Try it for yourself if your here shopping already.

I have shopped at the Mitsuwa in Costa Mesa for years. It was as close to shopping for groceries that I would find in Japan. I was in the Irvine Mitsuwa neighborhood today and needed to pick up lunch. What a disappointment. The sandwich was okay the benito box was awful, I have had fresher food from a vending machine in the train stations. I will never shop at that horrid place again. I hope this store is not a reflection of the Mitsuwas in Costa Mesa.

This place is clean, but is small compared to the other locations in Southern California. The parking situation is pretty easy because there is huge shared lot in the front and there is a designated back entrance with its own lot. I like to park there because I find it easier to get in and out of the shopping center that way.

I love this market. Always fun with how different and smaller it is from Vons and the such. Many Japanese items to tickle your fancy, as well as the appliances. Trademark to many asian shopping experiences is the outlying food court/other shops that line the perimeter of the building/wall.

Its nice to have a Japanese Market near the neighborhood. My husband and I loves eating at santouka in their food court. For a quick fix, sometimes I would shop at this market to buy sushi, sashimi and other stuff I need for home cooking. Organized and clean marketplace.

if you are looking for a delicious bowl of ramen, this is the place. santouka inside this supermarket is my go-to restaurant when it comes to ramen. their salt ramen is famous, and they offer lots of different add-ons, so you can get all the delicious sides you want

小規模な店舗だが、必要なものは一通り揃っている。夕方以降は生鮮品が品薄になるので、早めの来店が良いでしょう。

Very convenient location off the 5. Coming to the area for school, I was surprised to find two mitsuwa markets! This one is smaller than I am used to, but was still a great lunch time option. Super friendly staff and lots of delicious choices.

Theres a great ice cream bar here for $1.68 that can be split in two. The food court recently started accepting Visas so its less of a hassle to eat here. Quality at the food court is mediocre, but its good you cant easily find otherwise.

I GOT FOOD POISONED FROM THE BENTO !!!! NO STAR IF I COULD! They dont have good selections of foods, their bento food poisoned me just last week... Better drive extra 15 minutes to go to the other Mitsuwa at Costa Mesa.

Japanese market that has to offer produce and general Japanese products you wont find in regular supermarket. They do have a food court inside that offers good food such as curry, sushi, takoyaki, and of course Ramen.

Not quite as big as the other Mitsuwa, but its the best place in Irvine to buy Japanese groceries, and the food court is really good, despite its small size. I wish theyd expand to be as big as the one in Costa Mesa!

My favorite thing about this place is that it has a great food court. Their produce here tends to be on the expensive side so I probably wouldnt be shopping here as much as I just go to eat.

The worst sushi I have never had anywhere, limited snack selections, really small market, the only good thing is Santouka ramen, anything else is the worst compare with other mitsuwa markets

Its newish and has most of the stuff youd find at other Mitsuwas. It seems like the pricing might be a bit higher for some items that the one in Costa Mesa though.

Gotta love all the restaurant and convenience store food options. Everything always tastes great here and you can find a lot of good ingredients and snacks.

Lacking compared to its Costa Mesa counterpart, but it serves well enough in filling the Japanese supermarket niche in Irvine that needed filling.
