This "used" to be a low key, fairly priced, place to pick up lunch in the middle of nowhere. Now its just a trendy tourist trap. The portions are skimpy, the prices outrageous. I purchased one of their signiture "Jimtown" subs, made from about 1/8th of a baguette, (took up fewer square inches on the plate than my cell phone). The sandwich was prepacked, not fresh, skimpy with ingredients and cost $9. Walked out disgusted, holding 3 sandwiches in my palm for $27! After years of recommending them, I will instead tell folks to take the extra time to drive to Healdsburg, where you can still find value and fair portions. One last note, it seems the days of just walking in, ordering your food and the simply finding a table to eat at are over too. Now, you either get your food to go or wait (...and wait) at a table for a server. This place was a market, not a restaurant!

Every time I have gone here I had to wait in line for over 20 minutes. Not because it is in any way busy, but because the staff cannot work the register. The food is over priced, way overpriced and will take quite some time to get to you. I think the intentions are good but the seek to make profit off of wine patrons. I grew up in Healdsburg and wish there was a place to buy a pack of smokes and a beer, even though I dont partake in either anymore. The wine and tourist industry ruined my home town in my opinion. Places like this pisses me off. Locals should be treated better and get a discount. Go home.

Im using the Jimtown Store cookbook (again) for company this weekend, and decided I must send kudos to them for all those fantastic recipes Ive used. I love it! The braised short ribs with coffee gravy, on horseradish mashed potatoes with bacon, roasted butternut squash & apple soup with sage, balsamic roasted vegetables, Yukon gold potato gratin with caramelized onions, goat cheese & chives, plum cobbler... I could go on, but from soups/salads to desserts, theyve all been amazing. Alas, I havent been to the Store (too long a drive from Santa Fe), but very much hope to one day.

Jimtown is my must-stop location whenever Im cycling the Alexander Valley. The sandwiches, the soup-of-day, are gourmet and have never disappointed in >5 years of this being a regular stop. Truly a wine-country gem. Theres always traffic, but I have yet to find it super-busy. Ill point out, its got one of the best souvenir stores in the wine country, with the most unique items for both adults and kids. Normally, Id pass up on buying stuff while Im on my bike, but these folks have really thought this through. Superb.

Me and some friends were wine tasting in alexander valley and in out itenerary was to stop at Jimtow store around 2:30 since they close at 3 pm. That was our lunch spot. We went at 2:20 to the news they were close. Its sad that they dont wait till the last minute of their arranged aschedule of closing time. They just let dow local customers. Its no good bussiness practice. Just to throw it out there we were going to buy a minimum of 200 dlls in merchandise.

Hokey cool place...went there cause diners drive ins and dives highly recommended their brisket sandwich...WHICH IS NOT ON THE MENU NOR DO THEY SERVE IT....had pulled pork microwaved and chili which was right out of a can....dont waste ur time. If you are known for something....you keep it on the menu....

Expensive tourist trap is what this place is. Stopped by while cycling today to buy a bottle of water. In addition to the ridiculous price for the water, they wanted to charge 75 cents for each cup of ice! This is really taking advantage of customers!

This is a great place to grab food. The line will be long and it will take time to get what you want, but that is because the quality is top notch. Portions are huge, so you could actually split it between two if needed.

We waited 27 minutes do them to deliver a premade sandwich. Workers were rude and condescending to multiple customers, including us. Quality of food was also pretty poor, especially for the price.

A must visit if in the area. Food is fantastic and made from scratch. Staff is friendly and helpful. Ask for their PB, Bacon and Jam on a biscuit and add cream cheese. Trust me.

They make the best Muffaleta sandwiches. They also have this cute little store with tons of "local" things and it has a great area outside to have your lunch.

This bread pudding with carmel sauce makes you wish that winter would never end. Bread pudding is not usually available in the summer.
