Unfortunately, I have to at least give a star in order to give a bad review. I walked into the apple store at Americana today on my lunch break. I am extremely busy and did not have much time. I asked the girl at the front if there was any availability to talk to a genius as my iphone was glitchy. I did not have an appointment and she said it would only be a few minutes. I reiterated that I was on a tight schedule and had to be back at work. I checked in at the front and the man who checked me in named David lectured me on how "Time is money" and that he will let me know when someone is available within a few minutes. He never approached me. About 20 minutes goes by and I had to go up to him and ask when I will be seen. He told me I will be seen in a few minutes, again I mentioned if it was longer than 10 minutes to let me know because I have to go back to work. After waiting for an hour, finally a "Genius" comes out to tell me sorry your phone is out of warranty theres nothing I can do. I asked to speak with a manager. The manager named, Miguel Peixoto, walks over and was the absolute worst employee there! I told him what transpired and that his staff misinformed me of the wait time by an hour! They told me it would be a few minutes, I waited very patiently and to be told in 30 seconds my phone is out of warranty is absurd! I told him, my issue is not that my phone is out of warranty its that I was treated poorly and was highly misinformed by his staff. All he had to say was "Im sorry you feel that way." Thats it?? Im not expecting a free phone, however as a manager there is a way of talking to customers and to be treated like this was completely out of line. I spend thousands of dollars on apple products and this certainly swayed my decision to do business with apple ever again. What ever happened to old fashioned customer service?

Las Vegas meets Disneyland. I wont lie, its gorgeous. At first glance of course I cringe, but environmental and social justice aside, this place is awesome. I for sure dont shop here. Same stores you can find anywhere. I do eat here however, and the sushi and Italian place are thus far pretty decent. What is amazing, however, is the park aspect. A nice big lawn of some kind of alien grass that youre not quite sure is natural or not, covered in blankets and families and little kids running around, and of course Frank Sinatra blaring. The water fountain is second only to the Bellagio, especially since its recent upgrade of robotically controlled fan sprayers and a pressure boost. Above all, however is that this is an amazing place to exercise your toddler. They just spaz out and start running in circles and giggling for an hour or more. So, for that, I give it a big thumbs up. As for the newly minted American in their $1,000 shoes, taking their mothers there straight from LAX to prove that they "made it" well... Best regards and good luck to you, but remember, America is actually great for completely different reasons, and LA is full of examples. There is so much more to discover, so while you decide about the best taco truck to visit, definitely let Junior take in the water show!

I had a friend of mine help me in giving my mothers guests a ride, and hed never been to the Americana; I figured it would be a great chance for both him and my mothers guests and....they liked it, lol. While it was a little late at night and many of the shops had already packed up for the night, my friend spotted a restaurant that Id never heard of or been too: Frida. Some of my mothers guests ate at the Cheesecake Factory, but my mothers main guests -a husband and wife (the husband being disabled), my friend and I quickly headed to Frida because they were immediately swayed by how favorably he talked about the restaurant...and they were not disappointed. And while we, unfortunately, caught them as they were shutting down for the night, the manager made an exception and we were served dinner. The two employees to remained (apart from some cooks and the bar tender) were Extremely helpful. They talked to my mothers friends about the food, about their trip, about the area -other places to visit...the restaurant of Frida and its employees really left an impression on my mothers guests. They enjoyed the Americana -the water display gave the impression of being at Las Vegas, and they especially had a great memory from Frida.

I am reviewing this as poor to fair only because Google doesnt have an appalling category. If you are working with the rental company have patience, have hope and have an alternative available as you will not find a group of people less responsive than these. As we are relocating we planned to move into a furnished apartment and paid exorbitant rates for a short term lease. On the day of move in we were there, the apartment was there but the furniture wasnt We ended up having to stay in a hotel at Americanas expense until the furniture could be arranged but Nikki the "manager" could not pay directly and we were promised reimbursement. That was 2 months ago and you guessed no check. Called repetitively, been to the leasing office, tried everything so hopefully public disgrace will work.

The Americana is simply magical. By far my favorite shopping center to go to, exceeding even The Grove in its appeal. It seriously makes you feel like youre in a whole different world when you are there. The buildings and decor are all so beautiful and ornate, with classical music always playing. Theres a large grassy area with towels available to lay on i front of a large, spectacular fountain with a huge golden statue. Its a sight to behold. And come the holidays, it becomes even more magical, with the fake snow frequently falling throughout the shopping center. There are numerous shops and restaurants to relax at and enjoy the view. Everything here is so classy, it is wonderful for dates or just walking around and taking it all in.

Ah the Americana... What can I say, it is the entertainment capital of Glendale. Every tourist and locals visit it and tge only special thing it has that other outdoor shopping centers/malls dont, is the beautiful fountain. It truly does set the mood and adds beauty to the area. The fact that there is always nice music playing and the fountain dancing to it, just makes it an enjoyable experience. Been there many times and I suggest trying tge little restaurants and not just sticking to the famous cheesecake factory. If you want to have a great view if the Americana as you enjoy a cup of coffee, go to the 3rd floor of the book store, and into the balcony. Keep in mine they close the balcony before the store, so get there early.
