I dropped off a bike AND a pump to be packaged and shipped to my brother. I wanted to make sure they were going to include the pump so I asked specifically if they could package it together. They said no problem. After I paid $40 for packaging and another $130 to ship the bike to NH my brother opened it up to find there was no pump included. WTF? No he has a bike that he cant use. I went to the bike store to see ehat happened and I was told, "Oh sorry we forgot, tell him to buy a new pump." Seriously WTF They screwed up and now it is costing me $....not even an offer to help pay for the shipping of the pump. NOTHING....not good business ethics and waste of time and money. If you cant do it right I wont bother to ever go back there again.

Horrible experience. Went in and looked at bike for my daughter. Went back and they said they would now charge me for the training wheels. I said that was fine and I was going to look elsewhere. The sales guy started to get in my face and claimed I had a misunderstanding with him. I said that was possible and started to walk out. He then said he would sell me the training wheels for $10.00. He was so angry and out of control I decided I wouldnt buy anything there anyway and thank no thanks. He then got in my face and asked me where I lived. I said it was none of his business. He slammed the box with the training wheels on the counter and I thought the glass counter was going to break. I will never go back there.

Even though I noticed that their ratings were low I decided to check them out for myself. Glad I did. As soon as I entered the door, even though they were very busy, I was greeted with a warm "hello - be with you in a few moments". I needed a folding basket and bike rack so I was taken to the area and showed what they had. The rack I liked was 27.95 but the sales person notice one with an old price of 24.95 which I bought. 2 days later I went back again and received the same welcome from other members of the sales staff.

Since Im not a biker I didnt want to uppity-type place that expected me to know what I wanted. I walked into Hidden Valley and was greeted right away by a young guy working on a bike. That made me feel welcomed. I just needed a tube put in a tire and a repair kit for my sons bike. The young man took his time, explained what he was doing and didnt try to sell me something I didnt need. Really appreciated the time he took with me. Will go again when the need arises.

These guys have overcharged me so bad! They fixed my flat tire for $25 and it went bad before I even rode an entire block! Then they charged me ANOTHER $25 to fix it again properly! And this isnt the only time theyve overcharged me or fixed something incorrectly and they are always too busy talking amongst themselves to help customers.

I bought a Trek at north county . They were condescending. When I asked about a pump he failed to mention that the bike I was buying had a Presta valve. I went to Hidden Valley to buy a pump and found out about presta and schrader valves. They were so helpful. The elitists at north county will never see me again.

These guys (Sam and Nathan) know their stuff -- we bought bikes there when they were on Washington Blvd - decades ago. They know the routine and their pricing is super reasonable. Some bike shops make up stories to sell parts, but these guys are honest -- the best kind.

The guys that work on the bike are how do I say this? DUMB! I learned more at wal mart than at this BIKE shop. Oh ya they are all way too busy to talk to me a lowly customer who just had a few questions. Save yourself the trouble and drive to REI.
